Nice tramp to the site but got it wrong at first Made a wider search and found the correct place. TNLN. Thanks for an interesting walk. To those that wonder about the second cache mentioned. It is GC264C and has been archived. I had a brief look but forgot the cache notes to give it a good look just in case by some miracle it was still there. Smile

Thought it would be a nice day to get this cache done and we were right. Nice and cool tramping through the bush on a hot day. Satellite signals were a bit dodgy today but found the obvious spot in the end. Cache a bit damp and could do with some maintenance. TNLN. TFTC.

28-Jul-06
Steep climb to 1st trigg station then levels out for a nice tramp through the bush with really good cache placement at the end well done. Just wish there were co-ords and waypoint for the next cache up the track but we will be back. TFTC

Walked, tramped, climbed, slipped, stumbled here from the Te Puke Views Cache on a wet drizzly day but at least it was warm. A great excuse to bring some others out for some serious exercise. Thanks for bringing us here kaimaikid. The wee stone gave us some much need shelter from the rain.

The GPS was slightly out for this one, we had found a large rock, but no cache. So we look a bit further on. Then we found the really big rock, with a cache beside it.

Took Necklace, Left Lightstick.

Thanks

Came across The Rock on the way to Otawa Trig. A light came on when we saw the Rock and thought this had to be the cache. Didn't use the GPS.
Added a new log book as the other was finished.
NINO.

Found this one on the way to the Otawa Trig. A lovely walk thru the bush with top views from the first trig. Took Donald Duck left magnetic frog

27-May-03
Should've brought gaters for this walk. The grass covers the track well (wouldn't like to do this at night!), but at least it's not cutty grass. Nice possie.
In: 20c (found on the track on the way up!)
Out: Candle
Cheers, M@

Have been waiting to do this one and Otawa when I had a day to fit them in. Too rough to go fishing so went geocaching instead Big Grin.
Located it no problems. Took torchy thing and left tube of supa glue. Then went on to the Otawa cache.

23-Aug-02
I found this one without any trouble, on a sunny, but crisp Bay of Plenty day. left Donald Duck and took key ring.

11-Aug-02
A cold wind this afternoon. But I decided it was time to bag this one. No problem finding it as I was there when it was placed. Took nothing & left 4xAA Alkaline Batteries. Smile

07-Apr-02
No need to look too hard for this one. We were unable to leave a note as the paper was quite damp. Took pen and pocket knife, left head band and squeeze torch.

01-Mar-02
Did the rock on the way back from the Otawa cache, a good hike on a misty day. Found the cache and put in some batteries and took nothing.

After a pleasant drive from Rotovegas and a good 1 hour walk I found this cache pretty easily. I took the fly and left the poncho from Death In Vegas http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=9414. I'll report back if I catch anything with the fly Smile. Next stop Otawa http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=9804
