Worked out the details for the final only to find there is no access to it since the latest floods. It was last found nearly two years ago, how many cachers have got the final co-ords but couldn't get to it??? Is it still there after the floods or has it been swept away ?? The cache needs to be temporarily disabled until such time as the island is again accessible and the cache checked to make sure it is still there.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure, yes I know we have wandered over the border. Never mind, it is a wonderful, day albiet cold and wet, and we have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.
Found It!
After a visit to WP1, I drove around to the other side and after a bit of a walk I got to GZ and soon found the cache. Nice spot for a cache! (especially a multi!)

Out celebrating International geocaching day finding a cache or two with Mattycat and Perfect DI, after attending an event over here we decided on a closer look at the Delta of the two rivers, this was the second after earlier collecting the nfo for GZ. its been over twenty years since we last stood here and we watched a steam boat regatta go through, cache was soon found as described and our names added to the log book
Found while out and about with The Boos celebrating the anniversary of Geocaching - loved the walk and the views - thank you for bringing us here
A JAMS weekend away was organised so that we could attend the tri state celebration eventsa plus a couple of other events and a CITO over the two days. We had a very early start and arrived at the Berri event only a half an hour after it started. After a coffee and some catching up we headed east over to Wentworth for the next event and a few caches along the way. More catching up, an AL and a visit to the sandhills, then on to Merbein for a couple of new AL's and more caching between there and Mildura. On to the 5pm event with lots of snags and slices that went down very well. Then a night cache before heading to Euston for the last event of the day. Only had time for a drink there, then found 3 caches and finally headed to our accommodation in Gol Gol. Slept very well, then up and about making our way to the breakfast event and more catching up. Found a few gadget caches before the CITO, picked up some rubbish and then started our drive home. Still managed to get a few caches along the way.
All in all a great weekend with thanks to all the CO's and organisers of the events.
A great place to visit.
Thanks for the cache branda1707.

Nice start location and final location. quick find at the final and surprised to find it muggle free.
Got to the event before the co did. Even had a lab stage in walking distance.
The JAMS crew ( all 5 of us this trip JJ52,Allister w, Mogni, Michells&hound plus Sir_Spectre ) where headed to the 3 Community Celebration events in 3 states in one day plus a side trip down Euston
( it's only 55 km from our B&B one way ) for another geocaching event then a brief sleep. Then another geocaching event before Michells&hound hosted a CITO event in NSW. Of course there was time for finding of finding caches over 60 in the first day. Thanking those co for placing them and extra, extra thanks for the co for placing the gadget/field puzzle/creative caches. I left some fav points to let you know to keep up the good work. The way home was longer than getting there since we stopped and solved/stamped some multi's and off set letter box hides. Another good weekend away for us.

Big day today out with Jams crew attempting the tri state event challenge. Challenge accepted.
Early 5am start and pick up at 5.45am and then a big drive to Berri. One cache in Kingston and a loo stop before the first event in Berri. A welcome spot for a coffee by the river.
Onwards to Wentworth and our second state for the day and another lovely location by the river. Afternoon caching around Wentworth, sand dunes, Merbein for adventure labs. Great new series by the oxbow lake.
Then it was time for the fabulous 3rd state celebration event in Victoria. Followed by an adventure doing a night cache.
Finally to euston back in NSW for an event, a beer and 3 caches and to our accommodation at Gol Gol arriving at 10. Yes it was a big day out! Huge day lots of fun, lots of events, lots of caches and adventure labs. 20000 steps for the day, yahoo! Much thanks to all the COs and event holders.

We had collected the required information for this multi cache during a previous visit but the path to GZ was blocked by barricades following storm damage. Today we recollected the information and undertook the extended walk to GZ. The paths were in much better condition today than for our previous visit and it was a pleasant walk. Once at GZ there was an unexpected action when one of us accidently knocked a wasp nest, greatly unsetting the residents. That necessitated a different approach and we were able to get to GZ where a quick find was made. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks branda1707 for this enjoyable multi in a lovely area.
Came here for a lab and found 3 other cache also.
This was the third of the walk.
Had been to the park earlier, a great spot to spend a lazy afternoon...
Made my way to GZ after a lovely stroll.

After calculating the required numbers it was off to the cache location. A great spot and final for this one. Unfortunately I had the cache in hand but couldn’t get the jar to unscrew. Photo evidence can be provided if needed as although I found the cache I was unable to stamp the log. TFTC
Scooted over the footbridge and took the long walk to GZ. The tall grass that has grown back after the fire was waving over my head.

After a very hectic day we managed to escape SA, Ending up in Wentworth way after midnight. This morning on day 6 of our road trip it was re planning time, no caches for hundreds of kilometers either way. So we ended up heading to Broken Hill and Silverton. Great caching day, but again very hot!

Back today to make the find after missing our chance yesterday. Such a pretty area so it wasn’t a chore. Had a little difficulty getting to the log so sent the CO a picture log.
Stopped in here as part of our Great Western County Hunt. It has been a truly incredible trip, as I managed to pick up the last four counties I needed to fill in my NSW county map. A super exciting thing to complete. Thanks for enabling our crazy adventures. Thanks for the cache.

Found during a caching trip from home in the Adelaide Hills, to Burra, Terowie, and staying for two nights at Broken Hill, then down to Menindee Lakes, back to Broken Hill and down the western side of the Darling River to Wentworth, across to Renmark for the fourth night and then home via Karoonda in the SA mallee Murraylands. Thanks for the cache branda1707!

West New South Wales trip 2020. Day 7. I was joined by MinnieK and Fitzy_1965 for a trip planned to go from Goulburn to Forbes, Nyngen, Cobar, Broken Hill, Wentworth and Balranald. Today dawned a bit cloudy, but that did not stop is finishing the caches in Wentorth and the Perry Dunes. On the way out of town we were stopped by an unmarked police car for stopping before a checkpoint we were never going to go through. Nice guys, too many guns. Caching continued to Gol Gol, Euston and finished for the night in Balranald.
I recall being here a long long time ago as a child. I remember more reeds. oh well. Today we did an Earth cache and a multi. It was a fun way to explore the area and even learn something along the way.

Solved road unfortunately closed at the moment due to construction, although we saw someone from a distance taking photos but didn't wanna chance it
So we took off to the north today, Mungo and beyond and back.
Mostly a great drive and scenery, but found a couple of caches along the way, logs with the team Mattycat stamp include Purrfect Di, Jack, and Sebastbat as well as teen muggle Alex.
Some may get our initials as well All have made us smile
Came here in December. Got the info a bit too late and left for next time.
Today was next time so we came, dodged the annoying signs, and went for a short walk.
Signed log in good condition, all together a nice stroll.

A great multi with lots of different elements being highlighted; history of the Paddlesteamers, the rivers, and the natural features of the local region. Found in the second place i looked after realising my first choice GZ was a bit too close to the water's edge. Thx for placing branda1707, nice to do a multi with straightforward questions and an interesting final area.Cheers
Camping along the river today we headed out to explore Wentworth using Geocaching as our tour guide.
Gathered the info for this today but only came to collect the prize today. Saw a young snake on the walk so keep your wits about you.

DNF on 10/2/19. I feel we were in the right spot and had a good poke around, but no luck.
Dang and drat, a miscalculation and the fact we didnt take photos of the signs meant we had coords in the middle of the river. Alas we didnt have time today to head back to double check. However next time we are in the area we will have another crack at this once as it is such a nice place. Thanks anyway Branda1707 it was a lovely spot.

We are returning home to Tasmania after attending the Red Centre Experience Event in Alice Springs. Today we headed out from Curlwaa to find the local caches and this was one we found. We visited this lovely spot to obtain the info and knew immediately where the cache would be. Mr W volunteered to walk out that way again as we had just been out there earlier getting a GC and a GCA cache. GZ is in an amazing spot. TFTM
After a very long, long but picturesque walk, having to Peggy back my 4 year old we finely managed to reach GZ and after a quick search found the cache, but unfortunately I couldn't get the lid to budge so wasn't able to sign the log book. Bit disappointed after coming such a long way.
While on an amazing 7000km roadtrip to the NT with Pacgirl we did a lot of sightseeing, and a little bit of caching along the way as well . The aim was simply to drive north towards the Red Centre, do a couple of laps around Uluru (one by car, and one on foot), and then head back south to Victoria.
Day 14 had us spending some time in the Mildura area before the final stretch home.
This was a toughie for us, with the water levels being so high at the moment (even the observation tower was partly submerged). After making the required calculations we were left with a lengthy swim to GZ (under current conditions, even allowing for the mentioned 'travel'), so decided to leave it for another time.

Great cache I enjoyed the initial and final areas immensely we got lucky at the posted coordinates as paddle steamer we parading as part of a 1956 floods 60 anniversary festival underway in Wentworth.
The final was bonus location I wanted to visit as well.
Took the Mario TB, left a favourite point for the locations.

Found while caching along the river/s this afternoon and we grabbed some information and worked out the final gz while having a bite and coffee in the local bakery. Ah, life is tough some times, probably not as tough as back when. We enjoyed the walk to the gz and after waiting for a family of muggles to take a picture and move on we made a quick find after a short search. Thanks branda1707 for the history lesson and the hide.
While grabbing the clues to solve the hints, some of the local ducks thought they would get in on the actions and follow us around. Ducks have never made me feel unnerved before but these ones sure did.
Ps, there is a sign again for C
After a decent walk getting to Gz we found the cache and left one of our TB's to go out into the wild.

Went on an adventure with my partner Lord Rossatron today, as we didnt have anything else planned. Geocaching adventures always get us excited and if we wake up to early we can never usually get back to sleep, venturing from Mildura we didnt want to start our Wentworth day to early. We started off around lunch time and finished our day around 6pm. Well worth it!
This was a great place, and after being bogged at the sand hills we decided to end it on a good note haha and go for a nice walk on this trail, the platform at the end was great we took some selfies there, Lord Rossatron and I also left our TB So that is pretty exciting!! We came in contact with some Muggle Doggies and also some Muggles too on our walk back from the platform. I had been here before, but didnt realise that until the winding high grass that we were walking through, it had been years since I had been here and this was Ross first time We didnt realise just how long the walk was though haha! Luckily it was good weather for a caching day today!! TFTC!

A great multi for those trips where you have a little time up your sleeve. Such a nice walk I did most of it twice! Wish I had worked out the coordinates before I took my first walk out here a few days ago. Left a tag, took a Dutch key ring. Long time since I have seen a glass cache, was very wary about breaking it, but all good. Was a bit stiff, but turned eventually. Cache #2418.
PS Apparently some other visitors from my camping ground saw me at GZ from a bit over 100m away. This came out as we were chatting tonight whilst I was cooking my tea!

4464 found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1530. The Mrs wanted to have a look from the top of the tower so we needed to find the information for the cache as well. Figures found calculations made and off we headed. We had made this walk yesterday to do some bird watching but with the wind it wasn't very successful. Today a far different story. The neck craning and pointing kept us busy there and back. Got to GZ just like yesterday but today we had a SL. Tnx branda1707
Me last stop in Wentworth towne this morning was to visit Hawdon's Ford
Some of these old motor car dealerships are full of history
Oh so not that sort of Ford !! [:o)]
And as I read the cache notes, I could already see where this cache chase was going to lead me
Numbers crunched and .... of course I was right.
Time for a stroll, though swimming might be quicker
And a scant 30 minutes later I was at a lovely spot to take in the views.
There beneath me feet was a well hidden cache too [^]
TFTC and the wander out here, which I probably wouldn't have found without cache guidance

Can't imagine a heard of cattle going across the river these days. Quick find with Justjessie on the way back to Canberra from Camron Corner...
We had grabbed the numbers for this one a few years back when we were here, but decided to give it a miss. Today we grabbed the numbers again, and decided we had to do it, or we'd just keep putting it off. A lovely walk today, although cool the sun was shining. A magical view out on the point, and I put my hand in both rivers at once! Thanks for a great multi and giving us some exercise and fresh air!
I don't know how this one got missed when we did our logging after our trip, apologies for he late log and many thanks for the great cache

Found with the geo-crew during a bike mounted assault on a few of the Wentworth caches. The calculations were done and it turned out that we had already rode to GZ the previous afternoon. Well, we enjoyed it so much the first time that the geo-son and I went out again. Many thanks branda 1707
I didn't find this one in the typical multi sense. On a trip out to the location of this multi, the geo-mum thought there may be a cache hidden at a specific lookout. We were going out there for photos and had not done any geocache research on this part of Wentworth when she found it (this isn't the first time she has found a cache by thinking 'this would be a good spot for a cache').
If you believe this breaks some rule on completing multi-caches (or I have in fact signed an entirely different cache) feel free to remove this log. If everything is in fact fine, tftc!

Day 2 of a caching long weekend to Mildura with Aussie M&M and mogni. We were joined by Mr. M parents for a caching trip over the border. Stopped for lunch at the start point and gathered the clues. Could swim but it was a bit cold so after lunch drove around to a more suitable spot for the trek in. Well worn track now and the cluew made a an easy find. Thanks branda1707. Damn..have to walk out again!
This was the first full day in Sunraysia on a caching adventure with mogni and brisal5. We were joined by Mr M's parents on a day where we mainly concentrated on getting as many Wentworth caches as we could.
What a great little walk. brisal5 spotted the hide and Mr M made the retrieval. TFTC branda. Favourite Awarded.

3 years after working it all out finally had time to get to GZ. Rode the bike to this peaceful spot. Great day already having circumnavigated Perry Sandhills.
Finally found it. Tried 2 years ago but area was flooded. Glad the weather was cool to keep the wildlife at bay. One kangaroo was very interested in our activities. Thanks for bringing us to this pretty spot.
I had the pleasure of the company of CPwanderer and DennisC52 for a caching trip to Mildura.
We saw lots of rain on our first day but then dry sunshine for the last two days.
We locus cache'd a few caches (121 finds and 13 DNFs) and all in all had a great time, especially on some of the state forest dirt roads!
Yes, there were police involved (twice) but luckily no fines!
We came, we read, we did the maths and we screamed!
So close and yet so far!
Due to our limited time, we didn't attempt to get to GZ today but maybe on another visit here we will come better prepared.
So, we conceeded defeat and drove to the Wentworth Services Club for lunch

We saw lots of rain on our first day but then dry sunshine for the last two days.
We locus cache'd a few caches (121 finds and 13 DNFs) and all in all had a great time, especially on some of the state forest dirt roads!
Yes, there were police involved (twice) but luckily no fines!
We came, we read, we did the maths and we screamed!

This was a great cache. Its what I like about caching.
Takes you to spots you may never go and you also get to learn something.

Making an interstate start to the west; together with Ian & Penny, we wended our way back through Wentworth and Merbein, towards our base in Mildura. We collected the Hawdon's Ford information and completed the calculations then headed to a couple of closer hides. It was a tad warm for walking to the GZ, fortunately we were "encouraged" by the reeds whispering to us 'nearly there- nearly there', as we threaded our way along the track, which is now starting to become overgrown again.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt branda1707.

This was our 9th cache find in the caching run & we found it at 14:48
So this now makes our total find count 5768.

We spent a really enjoyable day with Phetlern. Starting north of Wentworth, we then went west for a while and gradually worked our way eastwards, ending up in Merbein before heading back to Mildura.
What a great cache. We did this one in stages, first we gathered the info, then we had lunch, then we cached some more, then we braved the overgrown jungle the track is slowly becoming.

Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Under 2 metres)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks branda1707 for the hunt today.

The last cache for us in the immediate Wentworth area. We completed the first half then had the Sunday Roast at the Wentworth Club. We then took a little stroll to collect the cache. We found what we think is a GCA Moveable at GZ - we couldn't see references to it in the logs and we're having trouble finding it online. Any Ideas anyone?
WanderingAus wandered by on day 126 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, making our way from Darwin towards Perth via Mount Isa, Townsville, Emerald, Goondiwindi, Gunnedah, Young, Yass and Wentworth.
After dropping the WanderingMrs at the Wentworth Services Club for yet another Line Dancing Workshop, I continued my Waymarking run around Wentworth and Curlwaa, With a very small serve of cache hunting and cache maintenance.
I wanted to take the Travel Bug My Bush Tucker Man (TB4Y9BC) to this cache for a visit, but sadly the river level was too high and I couldn't get closer than 90 metres from the lookout platform at the junction. If I'd had my gumboots or swimming shoes I might have tried to get through, but not with ordinary shoes.

had a great walk to this cache today enjoyed all the pelicans on the murray how gracefull they are when taking off and landing have discovered lots of walks in our area of sunraysia and this was one of the good ones many thanks
We have returned the cache to its hiding place. The river has gone down again and the track has had a make-over and is now very clear and wider than ever. Its a lovely walking track and is abundant with birdlife. The surrounds are pleasant and a leisurely stroll by the riverside is sure to please all those who appreciate the tranquillity of the Great Murray River!
River is rising again. pulled the cache out before it floods again. Hopefully won't be out of action as long as last time.
We collected the required info and went about collecting some other caches in town and then went for our walk on the way back to our camp spot. Now, 1 k you say, in a straight line but the goat that made that trail did not know how to walk straight LOL. Towards the end the track it is becoming a little over grown, we need more geocachers through here, but the track is still very visible. SL TFTC
