Mrs B and Tinytree were off to the Poor Knights for a snorkeling trip and I offered to act as chauffeur for the day with a little bit of geocaching in-between to fill in the time. After an early morning drive from Auckland and dropping them off nearby, I decided to stretch my legs a little and had a little bit of a walk round the marina.
We had been to the cache before but only had a few minutes in fading light before heading to dinner so we decided to flag it. This time I arrived just as another couple was also walking to the same point. No problems as I had plenty of time to stick around and watch the boat go out with the others on it to wave goodbye. After about 10 minutes they walked back so I began searching. Took a few minutes to find the right spot but eventually found it. All good here, TFTC.

TFTC did find but log was wet and open have moved it back to greeny has wondered down hill a bit
So happy to have found this previous DNF. Ended up being our fastest find ever thanks to Miss 8.
I don't think I've been here before, so lovely and peaceful. I bet it gets real busy in summer though.
It's been a while since we've come this far into the marina, we usually head for a nearby beach. TFTC
Queen's birthday weekend in Northland. Escaped from civilisation a little bit earlier....
Enjoyed my evening stroll from a campsite to cache location. I had to wait for dog walkers to leave area.... Handy one!

I have moved my snail shell a bit further south and after parking it up at a friends house I decided to have a look at some nearby beautiful beaches.
This trad got in the way and so I just had to sign it off.
Cheers for the cache.

It's been a while since I have been out so I took the opportunity for a quick road trip. I took a lot longer than I care to admit to find this. That's always the case for me and these plants. Almost gave up and then eureka, cache in hand. TFTC.
Waiting for the Ngunguru boys uncle to bring his new boat in for the first time. Very exciting. Tftc, it helped to pass the time!
1128. 4:31 pm. The only cache of the day that I found solo as I knew more of us would have drawn too much attention. Signed KB. TFT(harbour view)C.
Upon arrival at the GZ I was greeted by my least favorite plant for searching for caches, but actually I found the cache relatively quickly and set it back.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
We cycled down to the breakwater after dinner. Of like to say it was a quick find but it wasn’t. Some witty comment about the container being camoed put us off the scent. Got there in the end. A bit breezie this evening. Saw some waka-ama’s paddling in the distance. They were keen.

Gg to however finds this a tough find but I got it eventually great place beautiful and good clues
Great place for a cache ..enjoyed the out look...very busy with boat coming and going thanks Butters
Very hot hard work looking for this today. Many muggles but they had stunning views or fishing or boating to distract them. Took quite a while but finally unearthed it. Thanks for the placement *butters
Took a while but got there in the end. Very quiet and peaceful tonight. Beautiful spot.
Very quick find as we ventured out between the showers. Signed the 2nd temporary logbook. Thanks
Only had a few minutes to look for this cache before we lost daylight. We will be back to locate again soon.
Ein kleiner Spaziergang führte uns hierher. Netter Blick auf den Hafen. Eine clevere Dose. Dfdc

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!
TFTC
*We made this one much harder than it should have been, took us ages to finally find, many muggles hindered our searching. Had a good meal at the boating club nearby.*

Great clues, fun find for even the smallest geocashers. Mr 2.5 &4 loved finding the "treasure" cache.
All was good with the log and cache here today! Thanks for the hide. Interesting cammo.......
Called in for this one on the way back to Ngunguru. Parke din the car park and saw end was fenced off, but access to breakwater along the side. Soon spotted the container as per the hint and replaced as found. T F T C butters*/the observer.
Day 2 was the first day with Kaela going to work so to help out I offered to drive her in and bring her back. It gave Ed a chance to get the kids ready for the day and me to maybe grab a couple of caches and do a little grocery shopping, good deal all round.
Me and mrs capperz are up in Northland visiting our son, his partner and their four kiddies under 3 years old! Should be fun catching up and seeing how they've come on sice we last saw them 5 months ago in Australia. We headed up via re-locatable car from Wellington to Auckland Airport, via Whanganui overnight at daughter's, then swapped into our own hire car from Saturday until we head back to Marlbro next Wednesday evening. Not too many caching targets, but a few possibilities and hope to get the Virtuals as we pass them.

After heading to Tutukaka in the early morning and spending a beautiful day diving at the Poor Knights Islands we arrived back at the marina as the rain started. After finishing loging the dives at the dive shop the rain stopped for a moment and we made our way to the end of the marina to look for this Cache. I had to wait a few moments for a pair of muggle to load their boats and head home befor I was able to take a closer look at GZ. After a quick look around the nicely camoed container was found and the log signed. The cache is in good condition and replaced as found. I had to run back to the car to not get soaked by the rain. Now heading back home for a relaxing evening. TFTC
I headed out to Nganguru today for Whangarei's monthly clean up. I had lots of caches in this area that I hadn't got last time I was down. I had a great day with lovely bush walks, beautiful sea views, and fun scrambling around the rocks. I was pleased to finally be in the area to find my knitting puzzle that I'd solved years ago too. I pulled up neT gz and saw a few muggles nearby. Thought I'd pour myself a cuppa as that's almost as good a geocaching disguise as reflective jackets. I wandered out and sat down on the rocks admiring the beautiful view. Grabbed the cool camoed cache unnoticed. I was pretty tired at the end of the day with 17 caches found. Thanks for the cache to show us this area
Spending the day exploring the Tutukaka Coast. Beautiful scenery and some great caches. Watched a couple of boats come in as we signed the log. TFTC
Found with Jolo. on our anniversary day.

Tomorrow we are going to make a nice trip with Yukon Dive to the Poor Knights Islands. We wanted to find out where the boat is docked exactly. We found it and then we made the walk a little bit longer, because I saw this cache was nearby. Found it, without any problems, in a nice spot. Thanks for placing it!

After two amazing dives at the Poor Knights I came here for the cache and found it quickly! Thanks a lot!
A classic Geocache! Found it at last, beautiful view; and a lovely way to introduce a friend to the wonderful world of Geocaching. 10/10 would catch again!
Our third visit to this beautiful country and this time for a family wedding in Tutukaka. After that we will travel south exploring and finding some caches along the way.
Signed and replaced all of them as we found them.
Thanks to the CO's for placing these caches and keeping the game alive.
Nice container. Found on a walk from Oceans hotel.

A walk around the harbour before heading off on our last days ride. Quick find. Cache OK
Somehow we made this harder work than it needed to be! Lovely sunny Sunday morning with the place to ourselves. TFTC:-)
Scuba diving the Poor Knights Islands brought us to Tutukaka. And since we were in the area we looked for some Caches.
This one was close to our chosen dinner spot, so we gave it a try.
Fortunately, there weren't too many Muggles around and we discovered the cutely camouflaged box very quickly.
Thanks for this Cache!

Pratchettfans second hobby (scuba diving) brought us to tutukaka. So we spend the evening with finding some caches. Thanks for this cute one!
I picked the craziest, wettest day to visit Tutukaka Coast but only have a few days left in Northland so need to make the most of it! This pic does not do justice how including stormy today is. I nearly got blown down onto the rocks!!
Had a bit of time before our snorkeling trip to the Poor Knights. Had a bit of trouble then i spotted it. Tftc
After getting off the boat, and of course a hot chocolate from the cafe, it was time to leave. But rebel98 drove to the end of the carpark to see what was there, and I called out there is a cache to find
With the help of the detailed hint, I was soon at GZ and spotted this cleverly camoed cache. Sitting down taking in the views, I was soon signing the log.
Thanks butters* for the hide in this beautiful spot which is just stunning this afternoon with people swimming and fishing.
Dropped off the Mexico TB for other adventures.

It was raining today and the rocks were slippery but we gave it a try. Swapped tbs TFTC
Stopped off here on our way to the bay of islands. Found it while waiting for the marina office to open in the morning so we could get on our way. Managed to spot before a bunch of muggles wandered by. Tftc
Sharon, Sophie, Daniel, Connor and Rochelle, we are " The Team" XD JOLLY MERRY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY FELLOW GEOCACHERS XD TFTC - 2018 GF
Drove over from Tutukaka to cache around Onerahi while my muggle mates are on their dive trip. Came back to get them many hours later, & thought I’d look for this one too while waiting - makes a nice 25th find for the day, Tftc
Loved it. It took longer than it should have as we searched all the other sides, but suddenly I spotted something a bit off. I thought twice about delving in to get it, but was pretty sure... Thank goodness I was right!
I left a Kinder Surprise Egyptian cat cooking a pizza in a pyramid oven - yes, really! It seemed fitting with the nearby business.
This one gets a fav from us. Thanks.
