13-Mar-12
Explicit hint and a good sized container that there was no sign of. It looks like it may have gone.

01-Dec-11
Got very wet feet walking through the knee high (head high in places) grass all to no avail. Searched all round GZ and couldn't even find a micro let alone an ammo box. I don't usually say a dnf is missing as I have been proved wrong but this time I will. It is not there. Agree with Tramper Ted that this doesn't look like public land.

30-Oct-11
Great views from up here. Questionable if this is actually public land though??? Some nice houses around the area. Good to find a big cache container! TFTC

21-Oct-11
Great views. Left a pet rock - a calf. TFTC

09-Oct-11
A beautiful day for a bike ride and wander to the top of Waikanae with the kids. We added a few swappable toys that my kids chose from their collection of unused toys at home.

10-Jul-11
Great view on this wild & windy day. For Lani. TFTC

Hi Emerson and Tabor, thanks for your catch. We found your catch whilst on our way back to the car after a tramp along the ridge line at the back of your cache. It is certainly steep up there, but well worth the effort. PS, I am from Plimmerton, just down the road from you.

29-Apr-11
Great day in the sun after walk with Taiko33 over Hemi Matenga.

26-Feb-11
I could certainly see Kapiti Island on a beautiful day. It was also great to find an easy to open ammo box. For the record, I am from Upper Hutt which is only 26 kms as the crow flies but at least a 50 minute drive whichever route I take.

19-Feb-11
Had a bit of time spare on the way to do some work in the area this morning so diverted to hunt out this cache. An easy find, it was actually quite exposed and I have covered it a bit better now. Great to see the big robust container! Signed log, TFTC.

Saw this cache soon after it was made public its taken me this long to log the find. TFTC

23-Jun-10
A quick find, I’m pretty sure this is on private land which will be subdivided at some stage. From the sign I walked past, at this stage the owner would appear to be happy to let folks wander about as long as they’re on foot. TNLN SL TFTC

Argh, not a good day to get this one. Couldn't see Kapiti - too cloudy! Then I fell over in the mud....nevermind, got the cache.

Yay! Our 1500th find! We're from Wellington and this cache marks a milestone find for us. As Emerson and Duncan are interested in geography, we thought we'll list other places where we've been geocaching. Smile Our 100th cache was in Redcliff Wetlands Reserve in Fiordland, South Island. Coincidentally our 100th Australia cache was also called "Red Cliff Too" located south west of Melbourne. Our 500th cache was in Nelson, and our 1000th cache was in a scenic fishing spot on the road on between Christchurch and the Westcoast not far from Arthurs Pass. Most of our milestone cache finds tended by chance to be out of the Greater Wellington area. This was a fun cache as it's always exciting to find an amno box especially on a sunny and warm autumn's day. The entire team posed for a family photo with the amno cache with the great views behind us. The views overlooking Kapiti coast and the Kapiti Island paralleled some of the fantastic places geocaching has taken us making it just perfect for a group photo. Smile Took a little cloth heart, left kid's party mask & Finland GC. Many thanks TeamJade for taking us here and for the cache.

After doing some work in Kapiti and Waikanae this morning I thought that it would be a good opportunity just to see if I could find this cache, arrived at GZ and found quickly, great views BUT I couldn't see much of Kapiti today as it was kind of cloudy and was starting to drizzle a bit on and off. Thanks for bringing me to this nice spot. TFTC TNLNSL (1868)

18-Apr-10
Beautiful day for a stroll through the overgrown "meadow" Great views except for the power lines. TFTCSL

18-Apr-10
Quick find on a lovely sunny day. Glad the sun had dried the long grass as it would be quite dewey early in the morning. Nice new ammo box. Good spot for a cache. Keep up the good work. TFTCSL

The last for the weekend, a nice spot to finish at. Great view

09-Apr-10
Found it! Great view, Mt. Taranaki was visible along with a beautiful South Island. Wasn't TFT, but the second.

09-Apr-10
Saw this come up yesterday but decided to leave it for today as today is a special date for me. FTF this morning as the sun was on Kapiti Island and about to shine on the habitants of the Kapiti Coast. Great views of Mt Taranaki and the Southern Alps. Moved cache a couple feet from where it was to behind the structure it is next to, as after a wind it would have been visible from the track. Great to meet cache owners who turned up just after I did. Then left me to find cache.
Took nothing. Left a Turtle TB (Visiting from the USA) Smile. SL TFTC. #530

Completely screwed over by TeamJade! Was on site 12 minutes after listing published, searched for over an hour in the dark. Recorded the first DNF and got an email from TeamJade to say sorry the cache was in their lounge and they would put it out by 10-00am tomorrow. Thought that indicated that they would place it not much before 10-00am and sent them an email saying that I would like to be first to find and would be on site at 10-00am. I actually got to cache site at 9-15am only to find that it had been there since around 7-00am and already found. Really very poor organisation - why would anyone submit a listing for publishing when they hadn't even put it in place? Cost me the 1TF

Perhaps a penalty try should be awarded.

A nice easy find for us. You asked us to comment on where we are from - we were originally from Lower Hutt but currently of No Fixed Abode. Keep up the good work. BTW, you might like to look at the terrain rating as based on our experience it probably only rates as a 2 or 2.5 at the outside.Smile

Fairly disappointed to not be able to find it. Was the closest cache ever put up by someone else to my home. 1km by GPS, 3km driving.Very nice night view of Waikanae. Searched and really stomped all round the area for just over 1 hour. Thought it would have been an easy find with the hint - but no luck for me.

Couldn't find it either on a starry starry night.
