Me and Toadmiester7 enjoyed meeting all the people we had heard of in logs thanks Hoojar.
Thanks Hoojar for organising this event. It was good to put faces to the names in the logs and caches we have been doing.
Thanks Hoojar, Chip and of course Ding for the event and all the new caches around town. Hope to have them completed tomorrow if I am allowed out. See you at the next 10 year event.
What a turnout on a spectacular Wollongong arvo.
Great company and a fabulous cake.
Thanks Hoojar,Chip & Ding for a terrific time.

We rushed across fom a weekend camping at Wombeyan Caves, and found a large crowd in attendance just in time for the piccie and a wonderful sponge cake. Well done all.
Since I had the "travel bug" with me, I will drop & regrab - after all, the car or I are both too big to place into most other caches.
Due to the short time we attended, I don't know if anyone there noticed the TB info in the car window....

Woooooow! Geocaching is 10 years old. This weekend across the world has been filled with geocachers celebrating the sport we all love and I must say I've been greedy and attended two of these celebrations.
Today it was the 'Gong's turn to celebrate, and that we did. Perfect weather greeted all who travelled far and wide to be at the event. As always its great to catch up with old foe, some who I'd only seen yesterday and its good to meet a few new cachers.
Thanks to Krafty Charlie for providing an absolutely awesome cake. Thanks to Hoojar, Chip and Ding for hosting the event and providing an array of 10 new caches. Finally, thanks to everyone who attended for making the party so much fun.

A nice afternoon for a great event. I've only been caching for a fraction of the 10 years but that means there are lots of caches to find. Thanks Hoojar, Chip and Ding for organising the event. Thanks to the KC's for the tasty cake.

Wow - this was something special - 10 Years! for some (albeit only 4 for me) - but I still enjoyed the special "once in a lifetime" icon. Thanks so much to Hoojar, Chip & Ding for organising this event in Wollongong & providing me with an excuse to organise a very last minute mini invasion from Canberra - we all had a blast. Thank you to my travelling companions (mtrax, Tankengine & Marcus Vitruvius) for agreeing to my crazy last minute plan (although MV had already decided to attend & I suppose most cachers are generally crazy enough to agree to almost anything for a special icon!). A special thanks to Krafty Charlie for the very special cake - most impressive indeed & quite delicious - I enjoyed it on my slow stroll around to do the time trial!
The weather was perfect for a trip to the beach & the event was topped off nicely with a FTF with MV on the new cache at Puckey's Beach and the opportunity to find my 2nd whereigo cache (which surprisingly worked perfectly without my GPS crashing or freezing on me once!!). All up this event was the impetus behind finding 27 caches (I think) for the day & 5 different cache types (that qualified me for a bonus GCA locationless cache - GA1578).
Dropped several trackables that I'd had for too long & picked up a few in exchange.
TFTE - a very memorable day.
PS My apologies to Hoojar for the confusion I evidently caused with the time trial cache too - at least I was one of the last finders for the day.

Thanks Hoojar for organising the event - it was our second 10th Anniversary Event as we had attended the Sydney Event yesterday. It's always great to catch up with the friendly South Coast caching fraternity. Special thanks to Crafty Charlie for the cake and congrastulations on your 1,000th find. Thanks Rats for the banner (which Mr Ozjeeper managed to cleverly pull down just before the photo was taken).
Dropped off Junior Golf Pro TB.

It was only by some good fortune and a change of schedule at work that I was able to attend this event with JAB's being the chauffeur. It was great to meet some cachers who's names you see online and in log books and see others that were at the Lane Cove event the day before.
The massive cake that had been organised for this one was very yummy and well decorated.
We had a go at a few of the new caches as we had some time to spare and managed 1 FTF and 3 very frustrating DNF's.
Thanks Hoojar, Chip & Ding and the others involved for putting on the event.

We if you would have asked me the on Friday if I was going to a 10 Year event, I would have said its no likely but Teably rang up an said lets go caching... in Wollongong .. huh.. sure so we gathered a car load at the last moment and off we went, no time to research although Teably and MV had done some Puzzle solving which helped a bit. We gathered quiet a few cache types and more importantly the 10 Year Icon, thanks Hoojar and the other Gong cachers for setting up this event and providing a very yummy cake indeed.
Also a special thanks for some of the new caches released that event which we event claimed a First find from all our team members , which made it even more special, nice to attend and see some familar names.
Thanks from the Canberra crew, found with Tealby, Tankengine and Marcus V, en route the the 10 Year Event

Thanks to everyone who attended yesterday! It was a great event and it was marvellous to see so many attendees from so far and wide.
A special mention to the Rat for supplying the banner, and of course a HUGE thanks to Charlie for making that amazingly impressive cake!!!!! By the way, not sure if anyone else knows but yesterday was also KraftyCharlie’s 1,000th cache, and their fourth caching anniversary! So glad that you shared your special number with all of us!
I hope you all enjoyed, and are continuing to enjoy, finding the ten tenth birthday caches that we hid, I notice that a couple still remain unfound Chip and I had a great time hiding them, we, as always, just followed Ding and he selected the spots
Thanks again!
Cheers

Thanks to Hoojar, Chip & Ding and Krafty Charlie for the cake. Thanks for a great afternoon.
Found with Tealby, mtrax and Marcus Vitruvius on a mini impromptu Wollongong invasion!
Well – this is the cache that caused the invasion! – I received a call from Tealby asking me whether I was interested in collecting a new icon! Well, I would have been more than happy with the raid itself, but a new icon! How could I resist! Great to catch up with some of the Wollongongeres (or is that Wollongongerites, I never can remember) again! The ACT contingent managed 5 cache types in their collection today (including a whereigo), and also managed 3 FTFs! Ah – we’ll show those Wollongongians! Thanks for a well organised cache (Including a great time trial cache), and that cake was absolutely superb!

I was looking forward to attending this event all week, and when I realised that a few other ACT cachers were heading up, I jumped in with them and had a fantastic day all round. Great to catch up with friends and meet new faces, and couldn't believe how fantastic that cake was.
Gratias maximus tibi ago Hoojar for putting on a well organised event. I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the 20th.

I was never quite sure I was going to get here until Sunday afternoon came around. A beautiful day to be out and about, and a perfect day for a picnic birthday party - Happy 10th Birthday Geocaching! After catching up with cachers old and new, posing for the picture and eating some of Krafty Charlie's marvellous cake, it was time to attempt the time trial. No problems with the early waypoints, but it all came unstuck at GZ, where I discovered what turned out to be the cache container in pieces on the ground. I reported my find and returned with Chip and Ding to find that it had definitely been muggled . It didn't matter anyway, the entire event as always, was a total success. Thanks Hoojar, Chip and Ding for the organisation, Krafty Charlie for the cake, and the rest of the cachers present for the cameraderie.
Rated: for Overall Experience

What a great day to bring everyone outdoors in Wollongong, making finding a car park difficult. Once we found a park for geo-mobile it was off to party! There was a good roll up and thanks for Hoojar, Chip & Ding for organizing the event. And a special mention to Krafty Charlie and his wife for providing the cake. It was delicious and the icing job fantastic. Now for the time trial which was fun and also had a lot of us hunting around GZ for the cache. So many eyes and then someone PAF for an extra hint, and soon we were all huddled around signing the log. All we can say is thanks and we really enjoyed the afternoon.
This was a great event. During the day the weather was great and I thought that it would be just right for an afternoon get together.
Parking was a bit tight with so many people around but we got there.
Great to see such a wide variety of cachers- plenty of locals but also many from further afield- Oberon, Canberra, Sydney etc which was great.
The time trial was an event in itself after some number mixups and I was at GZ along with many others before Tankengine spotted the clever hide.
Thanks Krafty Charlie for the cake and all in all a great afternoon.
Thanks Hoojar, Chip and Ding!

After attending the Sydney 10th Birthday bash today, I plan to be at this one also.
I have been a bit out of the caching loop over the last few weeks, so wasn't up to date with all of the 10 year celebrations. If I'd known, I probably would have tried to organise something for Canberra. Never fear - at least others are more on the ball & I can always join in for your celebrations !! After a last minute decision last night, I have co-opted a couple of others from Canberra to come along too & we'll be coming up for a day of caching. I'm really looking forward to it!
I will be there with a small group of Canberra cachers.. and a bit of touring before the event
thanks
thanks
10 YEAR BIRTHDAY CAKE ON IT'S WAY!! We will certainly be there with cake in hand for this celebration and gathering.....But, being the grandparents in this group, we really have to put our thinking caps on to remember what 10 years old was like....looking forward to catching up with everyone...Thanks Hoojar for organising..Krafty Charlie
I see the Ump know his/her aunty Jack.
Will do our best to be there OK at the moment.

Unfortunatley, we won't be able to make this event. One of the Gekkos has commited to walk 50kms in the Wild Endurance Walk in the Blue Mountains that weekend to raise money for the Wilderness Society.
Hope you all have a great time, shame we'll miss it.

Finger's crossed we should be there! There's a chance Mr H might have to work but as it stands he's not, and if that volcano doesn't stop soon we'll still have the in-laws with us from the UK (who are anti-cachers for some silly reason). Anyway, all obstacles aside, we'll be there!
**UPDATE** 16 April 2010
A couple of update points for everyone:
1. The theme for the event will be to pretend that you are 10 years old and to dress up as what you wanted to be when you grew up!
2. The person/team popularly voted as 'Best Dressed' will be given permission to log the FTF on the event.
3. We will be setting up a time trail as part of the event, which will later be listed on GC.com. So don't forget your GPSr. The person/team with the fastest time will be given permission to log the FTF on the cache when it is published.
4. There will be one or two other caches hidden as part of the event in the near vicinity. There will be a lucky door prize draw to see who will be allowed to log these caches as a FTF.
5. If anyone would like to volunteer to bake a '10 Year' cake that would be fantastic!!! We will be away all weekend (Blue Mountains and Moruya) and are only coming home for the event, so we will not have a chance to bake.
6. Finally, if anyone feels artistic we need a sign showing the event co-ords and location name. If no one can volunteer for this one then it will be left up to a very unimaginative and inartistic accountant (Hoojar)!
7. Stay tuned for more updates!

with luck we can get away early from a camping weekend at Wombeyan Caves and zip across before the piccie.
Will attend this one to get the special icon and to catch up with the locals who went to Wagga
