CouldnĀ“t find it after 10 minutes and moved on, I think I looked everywhere but of course it might still be there
Hi Found it again, first time 15/8/13 but mistakenly logged DNF so found again today. TFTC
Took us a lot longer then it should have! Very easy when you don't skip over bits! TFTC!
Found it finally after looking in the same spots many times. We head on out in the morning so thought I should get the caches here in Richmond. Loved our stay at the RV park. Great stuff Richmond.

Day 5 of our mad trip to dig up dinosaurs, sapphires, thunder eggs and more.
What an adventure. The road from Winton to Richmond is difinitely 4WD only. Bit of a hairy ride that one. We passed a car towing a caravan and wondered if they knew what they were in for. Hope they made it.
Richmond received an overwhelming response as the highlight of our adventure. Everyone was in awe of the museum there. Totally awesome.
While here, we took a quick walk from our accommodation and knocked off a couple of caches.
Spent a bit longer than I should have searching for this one but got it in the end.

We have been getting pretty good at finding these nanos but not this time. With 4 of us looking and nothing! Hopefully we will get back out there to have another go.
2nd for the day in Richmond, came here looking for fossils and found some caches.
Woohoo! Two easy finds for this trip and both kid friendly!!!! Thanks for the hide very regular visitors to Richmond and never even thought to check the geo app!!!
Very tricky!!! Search a few times and finally found it!!! Found on our travels from Mt Isa to Townville. TFTC
What's with all the moon rocks? Has the local converter made a mint making them all? If not how did they come to be? TFTC
After a lot of help from cache owner, i finally found this one to day!
Thank you very much
Thank you very much
Agree with last log we hate guns as well! However found this quite quickly. TFTC
Like Boxsey before us we also suck at these and the thought of finding a cache on them sends shivers down the spine. Lucky it wasn't a train or we just wouldn't have bothered. Tried the 4 obvious orifices...and there it was, in number 4, of course. A find by Mr M. Amazingly quick for us versus these machines. Loved the moonrock cairn. Mrs M put a teeny rock right on top, believe it or not. TFTC
Travelling west, heading towards Cloncurry on our 2nd trip around Australia.
A nice quick find today in a beautifully kept park on the outskirts of an interesting little town.
The rubbish bin covers were terrific.
Thanks for the cache, xr400sim.

After driving for weeks through the dryness of the outback plains and mountains, it was so nice to see a field of lush green grass here
The sprinklers were still sprinkling at 9 am and the smell in the air was nice
There was another smell though, a faint whiff of cordite and that could only mean one thing to a geocacher
A micro on a gun !! [:o]
I commenced me search as usual by sticking me paw into the four most likely hiding spots.
And for once the cache was in the fourth spot I stuck me paw
I did a little victory jig and signed the logbook.
TFTC and visit to this very peaceful park [^]

We usually have a lot of trouble with this type of GZ, but today it was an easy find. Lovely spot well maintained even in very dry conditions. Being off the land ourselves we feel sorry for the nearby stations - they are doing it tuff! And we know that it effects the local town too!
I suck at finding things on machinery. Haven't found one yet and this was no exception. Hint?
We usually have lots of trouble with these types of caches but found this one quite quickly. Great spot for morning tea. T4TL. Greg and Bev

WanderingAus wandered by on day 87 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, making our way from Darwin towards Townsville, after stopping for a few days in Mount Isa.
We needed a spot to have lunch and I knew the lake was here, and after lunch I took the opportunity to stretch my legs for an extremely quick and easy GAFF 0 find of GC26FEV Moonrock.
As we headed away from the lake I spotted the two guns on the rise and branched off to take some photos. After taking photos of the 'War Memorabilia' and the 'War memorial' I almost forgot there was a cache there, and then made a very quick and easy GAFF 0 find in one of the obvious spots (I own a few gun caches).
I couldn't locate anything in the park related to Peace Keepers. After the event and in preparing this log I see that the memorabilia of WAR has been mistaken for Peace Keeping. I don't believe any Bofors guns have ever been taken to a Peace Keeping deployment. Fighting a war to a successful conclusion is Peace MAKING, and everything in the park is related to that. Occupying an area in an effort to prevent war is Peace KEEPING, and a few places around Australia have memorials to that, but not Richmond, or at least not in that park.
My Groundspeak find No 2835, TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC, my WanderingAus GeoMobile TB and three other travellers in for a visit before grabbing them back again.

TFTC staying overnite traveling from Isa to Rocky, done the historical walk, certainly been a few building fires over the years.
Tried every likely spot but this one eluded us. Interesting little park and lovely war memorial, so thanks for bringing us to this location anyway. 2BluFish
We walked across from the caravan park into this very well kept memorial park - a real credit to the town. We actually searched the hiding spot a few times before finally locating the cache - how did we miss it??? TFTC. Now off to Kronosaurus Corner for another treat.
Brahms6 found this one. A nice little memorial park that would not have been seen if not for the cache. TFTC
Our most north western point on our three week school holiday drive around Queensland. We ended up spending a couple of days here as the kids asked again and again to return to the fossil dig site. We ended up with bags of belemnites, fish scales and coprolites. The audio tour and display at Kronosaurus Korner was excellent. It even kept the kids quiet and interested for hours and we ended up staying until 20 minutes after closing time.
Sadly with a car full of non-enthusiastic cachers I was limited to one cache per town so this was it. I got lucky and spotted it in the first place I looked. The cache was in good condition and the logbook was dry.
Thanks for placing the cache.

Missed this one on the way to Uluru last wee - too many muggles to even try. Today, on the way home, we were the only people in the area so quick grab abd we were off. TFTC (Number 80 for our holiday since we left home on 16th.)
took a little while to find

A huge thank you to the Eland's for offering to replace this cache. That's what I love about this game, getting to know some wonderful people with (geokids) who all share the same enthusiasm for caching.
No luck for us today. 3 of us crawled all over the item in question, with a torch to examine those dark spots, for about 20 minutes. We located a rusty nano magnet, and thats it.

Thanks for the cache, we checked this spot about 3 times before actually finding it.
Found by geohubby on a trip up through north QLD. Take the time to look at Kronasaurus Korner, very interesting.
We searched and searched, but could not find it anywhere. Any hints from someone who found it?
Well how good was this 150 metres from our tent and a FTF ,life is good on holidays
