The Unique fencepost this was hidden in has been replaced with a new everyday fencepost, cache was in bits and pieces, cleaned up and removed
Out to watch the rally on Otuhi Rd today, so just had to stop off to look for some caches. This was a quick find, but unfortunately the lid is missing and log was totally soaked and too wet to sign. Took a photo which I can email to CO if required. TFTC
Lid was off this cache and it was full of water. Emptied what I could and marked very wet log. TFTC
On our way back to Maungakaramea from Crankup day in Dargaville I had to grab this one! Nice find. Need maintenace. Able to sign the log. Container very wet.
Put a bit of waterproof paper in small plastic bag to sign but it won't hold more than a doz signatures.tftc
This weekends little adventure was in the company of HKCB (as we'd both been given leave passes by our respective partners) so off we set.
The primary goals this weekend were to collect as many of the earthcaches as time would allow, the two virtuals, and complete both the requirements for the S35 & S36 challenges. Mind you this did not stop us working to collect anything else that we could find as time allowed.
It was a great trip with the weather playing its part so that we saw a great variety of countryside between caches and far too little sleep.
THe result was 1600kms (over 48 hours), 189 caches (35 hours caching) & 4 hours sleep, not bad for a couple of beginners. THanks to all the CO's and those that maintain the caches for us to collect on our too brief tour of the north.
getting into the new day, but not sure how long we can go on before I need sleep as we headed out west for a few more caches and then a short period of sleep (very short)
Thanks for the placement

Had me running around the padocks dodging cow patties at first. Good hiding spot
Took this short detour, not sure what to expect, and was speculating as to which mountain we might have a view of! Cache quickly found as given by hint, all well with contents. Thanks for the hide.
On our way back South after our wonderful visit to Northland.
I am glad megawat60 suggested this cache which was on his Garmin but not on mine. Great spot!
TFTC Grobyc!

Stumbled of a roosting turkey first, luckily not sitting on the cach, but a few meters away. Great hiding HOLE, put my hand in and returned with cache and SPIDERS! Arrrrr. Box a little damp inside, tatty old swag. TFTC
Last successful cache as I returned home from a wonderful Father's Day Caching Road Trip with the family. I am amazed at how some geocachers can find such unique spots to hide off of the beaten track. TFT(clever rural)C.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Decided to go out for a drive to the West Coast and Waipoua Forest with my mother. A nice easy find this one, TFTC!

Had a huge day planned today to gather at least 50 caches which were at least 1km apart from the last, for part of the geo-licence series. We started out earlier with the first cache found just after sun rise, and the last log being signed about 15 hours and near 500kms later.
We had an epic time on this trip and saw some great places along the way, through an area we had both travelled through many a time but never stopped. Thanks for everyone who had placed a cache along our route so we could finally stop and see the sights.
#33. No view of the mountain today.

#6278. Not too many caches on the road to Dargaville; good place to stop for a quick break. TFTC.
A nice little detour en route to Dargaville. Don't think I'll be climbing that mountain any time soon. TFTC.

Easy find. I have taken it with me to Baileys Beach tonight. It was full of water and evrything needs a dry out. Will place it back there tomorrow on the way to Whangareri. Found a right sandle and will place it somewhere over Whangarei way this weekend, maybe near its left foot????? [?]
finally found this cache after trying a few times before
Have left my right sandal in here

Funnily enough had driven past the cache eralier in the day while getting lost! on the way to an Orienteering event. Turns out the race went well. Always like a cache that promises a view and as the torrential rain had stopped I called back and made the find. Cache nice and dry tucked away in a good hide. TFTC
Found it after orienteering event nearby. Great views. When I'm in better shape I should return and walk the mountain.
This was the perfect spot for a legstretch; will have to check out the tracks & attempt the mountain in view some day. Today a fencing muggle was working just down the road... looks like subdivision perhaps? hope this part of the fence stays intact; it's still in good shape and those huge old pre-RD1/Farmlands non storebougt strainers are an awesome display of oldtimers hard work. TFTC
Steep bikeride up that unpaved road! But I liked the view, and the hide. TFTC!

Cheers for the cache.

Out with tikitour who already had this one so was very kind helping me complete series - TFTC
NZ11. A bit of a twisty road and the GPS was a bit out, but that did not stop me finding it. Thanks.

4132 Miss Geckoh located this one, although squeaked at the bugs on the container. Quickly signed the log and on to the next one! TFTC
Found as part of a driving tour of the lower Northland caches with GT as we grabbed the A- Z series. Thanks.
Headed North with TF to complete the Driving A-Z series. If you place one up there no doubt I will be there to find it. TFTC
VIGOROUSLY... completing these caches, enjoying the panoramic views & interesting locations in this amazing series. Thanks grobyc for the entertainment.
After a fish and chip dinner in Dargaville while we unsucessfully waited for muggles to move on from the local cache we continued on the alphabet trail. Definitely no muggles here and too dark to see any mountains but at least we found the cache T4TC.
Apparently the Rally of NZ will burst through here next month. Seemed like a small procession of locals went past and took a good look at us.
Bit of a strange place to stop. No views today, all fog. Nice hide though. TFTC
Nice hide, off main rd too, so less stealth necessary than with some of the other caches. TNLN TFTC
Easy find. 1st wee buck asleep in the back, but always wakes when we find another cache. Must be a 6th sense....

12.30pm. The mountain didn't look too inviting today. Is there a good track up it?
Easy find. Thank you. David.

Out on a mission to complete the whole A-Z series in one go, and grab some FTFs along the way - at 00:15, this was the 17th of 32 finds and 15th of 18 FTFs for the night . nice quick find here - good hide. Very much liking this series! TFTC!!!
