Amamoor Station has been undergoing MAJOR renovations. This cache has not been found for at least 12 months. I think that landylovers needs to archive or at least check to see if it is still there. Message will be sent to CO
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Came to do this cache but like ones before me was unable to find. I believe it has gone due to new ramp in place.
We searched under the building thoroughly and couldn't find it as we also think it's been muggled
well we didn't find it again. but this time it may well have been muggled. We had worked out where we thought it would be but workmen have built a new ramp near where we think it should have been. Brackets were attached to the ramp and building. so if it was where we think then it has gone. Maybe worth checking on. thanks for the cache
DNF after a long search. This cache hasn't been logged since Sept. Perhaps CO could check it's still in place?
Found it while staying at Cedar Grove. Thanks for bringing us here. Log book is full and extra scalp of paper is almost full too. TFTC
Found it this time with a little helper, must have been just a few inches off it last time. TFTC.
I have spent lots of time looking for this one. Took a little gremlin with me this time.
No luck today, searched for a while, had the neighbour come to see what we were doing.
Will try another day.

We were leaving our camp for the past 4 days out at Amamoor forest for the Gympie Muster. When we came in last week we noticed a lovely little blue and white coffee shop and decided to stop on the way out for a coffee. What a lovely little cafe and great gardens and tables outside. Only 100m up the road was this particular cache. I love trains and had to bag this one. The others on the trail were impossible with 20,000 campers making an exodus today. A few places to look, but thankfully in the second place I looked. TFTC
Looked around for a bit and could not find it even after looking at the pictures for hints. Might have to be checked by the creator as council has just finished up a clean up of the area and may have thrown it away.
So frustrating - there were people about and that hindered our search a little. Would so love a bit more of a clue as to what we are looking for - new to this, might need to log a few more before we try again:
Found it with my Brother (Ben), his wife (Charlotte) and her brother (Spence). Ben found it, not really easy to find! Thx for the cache!
On the way to Cedar Grove for Easter. Needle a bit iffy but it was where I suspected. Cache all good. Thank you landylovers.
Great location for a cache. Havana loved snooping around the railway. Mr geo found this one. Lots of nice places to check out. Tftc and we decided to have lunch here and wait for the next train tftc.
I was at the 2016 Catchup for Newbies event at Traveston this morning and Brother Colin came along with me as navigator and I provided the driving and Geomobile. We had a very good morning run with Brother Colin finding more than me as I have already done this part of the valley, well most of it anyway. Quick find. TFTC landylovers
Up this way for Xmas and New Year ... and to attend the week-end event.
Today YoungOldFella and I teamed up and headed out to find a few new caches and the new caches for the event.
A quick find before moving on. [^]
Thanks for the cache.

Stopped in Amamoor and had a sausage roll for lunch from the local store before crossing over to the station for the cache. Unbelievably it was in the first place I looked. Good coords for me. Took a few photos of the old station and store. TFTC landylovers
I have been to the muster thought I'd find a cach on way out.
Very difficult with all juggles around and I had no luck
TFTC and showing me a great spot

I was heading up to Gympie today and thought that I would take the scenic route and grab a few of these caches that have been sitting on my map. They are the ones that are close, but not just close enough to grab whilst en route and for that reason where starting to annoy me. I had about 30mins spare today and thought that putting it into a detour sounded fun.
Upon arrival there was a little dog running around the park with a jumper on. This worried me as I thought that there would be Muggles that might prevent me from hunting. Though, on closer inspection, the park was bare. The little guy just must have been out for a walk.
After quickly checking all of the normal places, I came up empty handed. Hmmm... Let's try again and quickly started looking again. *BAM* there it was, in a place I had already looked.
Thanks for the cache landylovers. The cache is in okay order, though the log only had about 10 spaces left.

Grrrrr looked for this one for ages on two different days! Is it really there? Lol.
Looked everywhere including dark scary spider-infested places. No luck this time...

Out and about with holster for a drive and grabbed some caches along the way. We managed to find a variety of caches in some very interesting locations, this was one of them.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

A beautiful country town. The railway station has been restored nicely. An easy find! Thanks for the cache landylovers!
TFTC. Nice quick one this morning without anybody about. Impressed with the stationmaster scarecrow and the waiting family. There was a couple of horses grazing loose as well near the station.
Staying at the Pomona showgrounds for a couple of days, to cache in the area.
After a bit of a look around the old station and buildings, we headed to GZ for a quick find.
Many thanks for placing this cache, landylovers, for us and others to find.

Stopped off at the local shop before heading into camp at Amamoor.
Went over to look for the cache and found it relatively quickly before grabbing some firewood for our nights camping

I was heading home after attending the get together in Gympie yesterday and took the Mary Valley Highway to get a few caches.
The GPS took me down the wrong road but that was soon solved and I pulled up right next to GZ and jumped out in the searing heat of the day and had a quick find.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Out for a day of caching on one of the hottest days of the year didn't seem like a perfect idea. But when you mix that with an event, an area you haven't cached before, an air conditioned car and some good friends, it doesn't seem so bad.
I was out with Fangsoki, Prime and Sweet_bee as we were heading north collecting caches on the way to the Gympie event. We pulled up and hopped out of the cool car into the blistering heat and started searching. Prime found the cache before too long in a place I had checked earlier. I was looking for something bigger though and must have overlooked it. The log was signed and the cache replaced as found. Thanks for the cache landylovers

Sweet_bee, Pprime, Net88, and I rolled into this one next. It was a big old DNF for us last time - but this time was different.
We fossicked about but Mr Pprime was the one that came up with the goods. Good on Aussie Liahona for replacing a cache for someone. It was in good condition. TFTC landylovers - a nice area

Out for a trip to Gympie today, with Fangsoki in command of the mighty Mondeo, Sweet_Bee and net88 in the company, and we picked up 'a couple' along the way. Into Amamoor we traveled by car, but by the train we found this cache sitting pretty waiting for us.
Thanks for placing this cache, landylovers. Found in good condition.

Our second railway cache for the day. GPSr was spot on and it didn't take long for Anth and Number One Son (Golden Dire Wolf) to find the hidey spot. Sal and gwenda2 (mum/grandma) wandered over to the shops to grab some ice cream and drinks as today is a scorcher. Thanks for the cache landylovers
Had to have 2 searches on different days for this one, then found it in logical place after all that... TFTC
We spent a fair while searching for this one and were about to give up when a lady came running over from the petrol station, " ive been watching you, are you looking for a little box"......yeees...." you were so close, would you like a clue"......yeees..... as it was the container had been surrounded by a mud wasps nest and was impossible to see, i had looked right at it twice.
Cleaned it off and returned it to its great little hiding spot.
We were told the station is due to be repainted soon and hopfully the train will be running again in a few months.

I recognised the location from a previous visit
Last visit, it was a bit busy around here, what with a market going on, the coffee shop open and a huffing, snorting steam train parked outside, I couldn't really search for a cache
Today was a complete contrast and I wandered over and found the cache in the first place I looked

Quick stop and cache was just where we thought it would be. Sadly we didn't see a lot of information on the history of the area. I bet it is an interesting place. Thanks landylovers
I knew that this cache had recently been replaced at the recent Forest Challenge Event 7 but I had not the chance to get back to get it due to the recent deluge and subsequent flooding of the area.
After a small hunt located the cache.
While I was hunting, I had a feeling I was being watched and I stopped what I was doing and turned around to see a muggle standing in the pergola area staring at me.
He had not been there before I started and I stared back and he moved on.
I went back to what I was doing and soon found the cache.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks landylovers and Team Herbz for replacing All good with this cache

Looks like this one got replaced before Gaz'n'Kab and I turned up. Bummer. I guess I'll have a go at it next time - third time is the charm.
Found with TassieGirl13 and Herbz while on the trails during the Forest Challenge Event today.
This is an interesting spot for look around.

After following in the footsteps of many esteemed cachers today after the nearby Forest Challenge event (all of whom recorded DNFs), it was decided that a temporary replacement may be in order. Since the last successful finder, a lot of water has gone under the bridge...and the station it would seem. The consensus was that this one may have been flooded away. We had something suitable to hand so replaced the container until the CO can check it out and replace if necessary. Hope this meets with general approval. Great spot which deserves an active hide. TFTC Landlovers.
No luck for us today, as it looks like we got there before it was replaced.

Out and about on the forest trails today as part of the Forest Challenge event. We stopped here for the cache and admired the train station and the mural painted building close by. What a lovely little station area this is. Thanks landylovers for bringing us here, and thank you Herbz for making it possible for us to get a smilie here. Great location!
In the area for the week-end for the Forrest Challenge Event nearby.
With a few of us searching we still could not find this one with a group as we went around the challenge course.

Spent ages looking for this one with some of the others on the event, but had no luck After they headed off another group arrived, and after a discussion, Aussie Liahona supplied the goods for replacing the cache. The log book was signed by all there and we were on our way. TFTC, landylovers.

Boy i love these little country railway stations and never get tired of finding new ones. Spent time here photographing the station buildings, and the all-purpose shop over the road. Also love level railway crossings so had to shoot this one too. thanks to landylovers for these local caches.
Got here just as train was about to arrive lucky hubby found it quickly and we got to sign log and replace without anyone spying us. Seen this cache before and checked out the craft shop too nice shop, TFTC
This was the best cach of the day...very clever... and certainly had the Geo Master from Team Aussie Vikings thinking and he managed to crack the code. Well done, a cach we will remember.

Clever hide but good co-ords helped. Loved the history here and hope to ride the steam train one day.
As luck would have it Steam train had just pulled into station so our search was delayed while we listened to tour guide chat .
