Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

TFTC. We are camped at Ross River Dam until after the V8s. We took the opportunity to,go exploring along the road between The Strand and Pallarenda. We had not been along this stretch for at least 5 years on our first Motorhome visit to Townsville. This is a great location that deserves another visit. Luckily we had a tool in the geo-vehicle which we could use to retrieve the cache container. The lid on the container is missing making it easier to retrieve with a different tool.
After checking out the location a couple of days ago, we were attempting this cache today. Good thing Grizzly is pretty tall himself, with some extra help it was an easy thing to write our name on the log. TFTC
Spending a couple of weeks in Townsville, this was one of the cache we found during our stay.
thanks

On our third visit we had this cache in the bag. First visit identified cache but out of reach. Second visit brought geo daughter and tried some circus moves but didn’t work out. Third visit came equiped with common gardening tool. Savouring this cache find. Our first four star difficulty. Cache missing lid as previously mentioned but log still intact. TFTC.
Hurrah!! No need for a second trip. Lucky for me the geoboy has been keen as a bean to climb today and his services have come most useful, has definitely saved me a second visit today
The cache container is a little worse for wear, the lid is missing altogether and the clip seal bag is old and perished, log inside is soggy and appears to be choc-a-block full!
Left a new log sealed in a clippy and replaced as we found it, all under the watchful gaze of an old kookaburra!
Thanks for the cache, hopefully it will be good for others to find until CO can replace tin.

Nice easy find. Probably is, but difficult to obtain. Lucky it had fallen to the ground with all the recent rain and strong winds. The cache however is needing maintenance and unfortunatly we didnt have our supplies with us today due to a spontaneous decision to do some caching with the weather holding out for us. Luckily there was the two of us and we were able to replace it. Hopefully we relocated it correctly, but it isnt easy to reach. We have walked past this location so many times and never noticed this beach artwork. Thanks for the fun we had and bringing us here. TfTc
Seen - but as tourists we haven't got a ladder in our luggage...
Thanks for showing the artwork anyway, Bigerchen (from Germany)

Fantastic! My teens every time tell me - Mum, you are sooooo horrible with your caches! But when I told them - it is 4/4 cache! Dany started to think it is great idea to go for a cache and Lucy wanted to take some photo from this challenge After a few up and down we managed it!!!
Thanks a lot for our the first cache in Townsville!
Thanks a lot for our the first cache in Townsville!
Came by with Seffnjarah and CrookedPete as we spend the night in Townsville before heading off early tomorrow morning to walk Hinchinbrook Island.
This was made a lot easier by the help of friends. CP made the find, SNJ made the grab.
Thanks for the hide.

Have reconnoitered this cache before, but being alone and without TOTT, it was always too easy a cache to find.
Tonight, I had company, and having spotted the cache from the ground, Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and I did our best circus act impersonation to get our names in the logbook.
Having signed the logbook, Seff, on top of shoulders was instructed to put it away out of view.
Done and dusted.
Thanks ICP

The Bromance (Crookedpete, Swellerfungus and Seffnjarah) were in town for an overnight stop before heading to Hinchinbrook Island for a 4 day hike. In a late night tour of the area Crookedpete, considered a local by many (OK probably just himself) after many years of residence in the past, was showing us some of his favourite caches of Townsville, or in this instance one he hadn't been able to conquer on his own.
With no suitable TOTT packed in anyone's luggage , as per usual as the Dependable Expendable of the group, I was relegated to the hard work and with a boost and some shimmying was able to make the grab. I was left dangling while the other members of the group took an inordinate amount of time to sign the log. After replacing the cache I did my best to avoid splinters and finally made it safely back to rejoin the others. TFTC

Found 23rd July @ 1405. Great hide, had me scratching my head. Townsville people love climbing caches. TNSLLN TFTH.
The log is full but after all the effort to get it we had to make sure that we signed it somewhere. Tftc.
All that barra and chips for lunch had to be useful for something. It was, it was how MrsG was hoisted up to the cache...................now let's do that one more time to replace it......... TFTC insane.cache.posse.
Employing some of the surrounding materials in a creative manner allows us to record a find. The log book is full now but still dry. Favourite point from us. TFTC
Was a nice find while playing at the park and looking for baby crabs with the kids. TFTC Merry Christmas Eve
We are in the nearby holiday park for a few night until we continue our journey up north.
On our evening stroll we went to GZ and tried to reach it with the tools I had with me. No chance, even after using tape to combine them.
We continued our evening stroll to the other nearby cache. On our return I decided to get a usual household tool from our camper van to get to the cache. Success, I quickly had it in my hands. Singed it and returned it without any circus action or something similar.
The cap of the container is missing, but since the log is in a zipper bag it shouldn't be a problem.

Ahhhh tricky find, as the clue says we will be back for a full find, this time with the oldest Geokid instead of the youngest!!

Arrived at GZ and guessed where the cache maybe....and yep, there it was. Took a different approach to retrieving it, but it was soon in hand and signed. Took twice as long to get it back in position, but in position I got.....and is good.
Thanks again ICP......a bit of fun. Favourite point for the laugh I had getting it back.

Yep an easy find alright! We did need to return with the correct retrieval tool. Great hide on a lovely beach. TFTC
We have arrived in Townsville today for a week, set up in the caravan park
In the afternoon we spent the afternoon caching around Rowes Bay, wonderful scenery along the beach front. Many families enjoying the many pic-nic areas.
After reading the previous logs we knew we would need a special TOTT. Arrived at GZ & we spotted the container & with a little help with our special TOTT we retrieved the cached signed & replaced. Interesting art work.

Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
The roadtrip to end all roadtrips has begun! Gaz'n'Kab and catscatscats22 have left all but their trusty steed behind, and have embarked on the most epicest adventures across Australia
We spent the night in the caravan park across the road, and after setting up nice and early we set off to grab a local cache. This was the easiest so we pulled up at GZ and began to look around. We quickly realised this was not going to be an easy cache, so we had a bit more of a read and felt a little more prepared We had a good look around from below and quickly realised where the cache would be Thankfully we had two tall people, so one stood on the other and we soon had the cache in hand, and added our names to the logbook [^]
TFTC insane.cache.posse, a great little adventure for us!

Eyeballed it but couldn't reach. Will try again another time with teammates to sign the log.
Found it a couple of weeks ago and finally today geo junior and I were able to access it.
Thanks.
Thanks.
After attending the GC meeting in the nearby park, took off with Mocha007 and Phoenix Ferals to hunt this one down. With some teamwork from one of the mini Phoenix Ferals, we were able to get this one and sign the log. T4TC
As we walked to gz we though we knew why this cache was given a 4/4 rating and were not disappointed. We had the right combination of people to make light work of this - well about 30kg
After a horrible bout with the flu. and 8 consecutive days without leaving the house it was time to get a cache or two. Made it to this one with my 4yo. Which made light work of the position. Signed and replaced. Thanks for the hide.
First try yesterday, but we didn't have the tool. We came back today with our sons who helped us to get it. Thanks to them for their help. Nice object. Maybe the box was at another place before (magnets)? TFTC
nice easy cache.. if you have the right tools!
So after a disappointing DNF just before with another cache near by we noticed this cache was only a short walk, so off we wondered, yep should have read the description! after attempting some acrobatics it was simply out of reach, we returned the next day with the equipment required and and after the sun had gone down as the place is packed with muggels walking past during the day, we soon had the cache in hand and boy am I glad to have this one logged off my list after turning up the day prior and feeling pretty silly for not reading the notes!

Find #232
So, I decided to go for a drive this weekend.
Headed out from Mackay on Saturday and headed for Clermont.
Not enough so went to Charters Towers and stayed the night.
Done a few caches in Charters and then headed for Townsville.
Stayed the night and headed home on Monday.
Glad it was a long weekend.
Used relevant tool but the log was jammed so far in I couldn't get it out.
Can describe to CO location of cache as proof of find.

4:05:00 PM. This cache appeared on our screen so off we went. Got to GZ and learnt a lesson. Should have read the description first. Well we could see the cache so with the better half on my shoulders she still couldn't reach it. So off we went thinking we know what to bring back next time but that was in our caravan 80 odd k's away. By the time we got back to our vehicle we had an idea using what we had, so gathered some items from our vehicle and back we went. We got the cache down after a couple of attempts and we were mighty happy to sign the log. Lucky for us some rubbish to some people that we had picked up on the path helped secure it to our tool for the replacement. Took a couple of goes but we got it back in place. Had a good laugh about our achievements and well worth a favourite point from us. Thanks insane.cache.posse for placing this cache.
TFTC. It's easy and not so easy at the same time. Does require some tools to get it. Fun though.
Nice and easy cache!
Just kidding:-) still nice but not so easy in the end. We are in townsville only for two days and we don't have tools with us so we were sure that we could retrieve this one, especially after reading the previous logs. We are sleeping in the caravan park near the cache so with decided to go and take a look and surprise surprise it seemed difficult but not impossible. After an acrobatic and circus performance the cache was safely in our hands ready to be signed and placed back at the end of the rainbow. If J wasn't so tall it would have been very difficult to retrieve without a tool, even with athletics skills of L. Thanks to insane.cache.posse, we really love a good challenge.

Woop woop! Llama searchers + partner out for a beautiful day of caching. First time in our new home. Figured we would stop by on our skate despite the "two visit" warning. Grabbed it first try no tools needed.... However it just happens to fall very closely in line with a personal hobby of mine soooo typically I don't think this can be grabbed in one go : p Great great great cache. Rounds of applause : ) PS to anyone watching this cache there is construction going on in the area and it couldn't be more perfect for an anti-muggle barrier. Go get it : )
Unfortunately could not get to this one this time round

The right gear borrowed and we met up at coordinates, very soon the cache was in hand and log signed.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there insane.cache.posse. We found your cache "a nice easy cache......?" at 11:28:00 AM today.
This was our 2nd cache find in a caching run of 8 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9751.)
[Blue]
We are trying to log at least one cache every day, so we can add to our streak of "Most Consecutive Days Cached", which we started on New Years Day 2014.) Our route today took us to some really wonderful & scenic locations.
We looked at this one two years ago. This time we wore fluoro shirts and carried the appropriate tools.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

Staying at a caravan park in Townsvillle, on our 3rd trip around Australia.
Decided on a evening drive into the city, for some muggle free caching.
Eyed this one off on our last visit, but this time we came with our new geo-tool.
Arrived just on dark, and found it in the 3rd place we looked.
Many thanks for placing this cache, insane.cache.posse, for us and others to find.

We finally got around to coming back with the correct equipment to grab this one. A couple of muggles around the place but we were in and out quickly. TFTC.
Been meaning to complete the find on this cache for sometime now. First time I tried, I found the cache easily enough ... retrieving it and signing the log was a different story.
Today, MattCNS and myself arrived with the necessary equipment to get the job done. Amazingly enough, there wasn't much in the way of muggle activity around to interfere. Using the equipment we'd brought with us, MattCNS was able to retrieve the prize so that I could finally sign the log. TFTC ICP. SL. {#509}

Think I know where the cache is and will be back with appropriate extraction tools
Absolutely loved this cache!! Geodaughter and I set out under the crescent moon to locate and retrieve this cache....with teamwork and having a rock climbing background the cache was retrieved quickly. The hardest part was to get the cache back to its home, my catching skills are pretty non existent especially in the dark....after a few failed attempts and lots and lots of laughter the cache was back home...a fav point from us!!
MattCNS and myself stopped by to suss out what kind of resources will be need to extract this cache. Cache was quickly spotted and is still very much in place. Extracting it is the difficult part. We'll be back soon to claim a smiley on this one.
This was a CNG (Could Not Grab) not a DNF. RobS72 spotted the cache but we'll need to come back with the correct equipment to get it. TFTC.
Found on second visit at night with friends whom we introduced to caching. TNLN, TFTC
Thinking 0430 am would be a good time to drag the implement to retrieve said critter, I found that Townsville is an early riser! Damn. Why don't these people stay asleep! After waiting for 5 minutes for the coast to be clear, retrieved the critter. Right where it was supposed to be. TFTC

Found the GZ easily. But I dont think the apparatus needed will fit in my car. Even if it did, I think stealth will go right out the window. This might have to be a early morning raid.
After a bit of acrobatics with josh we had it. I stayed up there while he dawdled signing the log. TFTC.
#276 our last of twelve for the day, and what a cache it was.
We walked over ot this cache from the peoples cache. We thought GZ was one of the fishes, but were soon at the right place.. we understood what the accessory we need was, but there were none of them that we could see. We werent going to hear anything about second visits, so Oreo started to reach GZ. Geouncle gave him a shoulder, and Oreo was soon up... I looked all over but it still took me ages to find.. I didn't look at the black thing like one of the colourful things it was meant to be, but I got there in the end anyway... there were some watching from far away, but noone approached us, which was good... a quick sign and then a drop back down to reality, and off we went...
A great cache I.C.P, fav point from me...

Well I did find it, I even touched it with a stick and it moved but I guess it's still a DNF as the cache was never in hand. I knew I would not get it having read the logs but wanted a look on the way back to the airport. Almost 7th on a day business trip from Sydney.
muggled!!! the last cache we thought would ever get muggled. by chance were replacing the old tin and discovered it was gone seems strange anyone would go to the trouble of stealing this cache[:(!] anyhow ....... new cache
+1 fav from me.
As I pulled up I saw instintly what all the fuss was about, thankfully for me this was a nice easy cache! A suitable 'extraction tool' was found on the beach nearby to GZ
The container has seen better days and is quite rusted now. Log was still dry but fairly full.
I left my improvised tool on the beach, get in quick before its lost to sea
