We went to check up on the cache, unfortunately it has gone walk about so we are going to archive it.
We saw the previous DNF but decided to give it a look as we were in the neighborhood, maybe it had been replaced - no such luck. It was a nice drive with great views so not entirely a waste of time. Pity it won't be replaced, need some traditional caches out here.
Great walk. Bit scary n the rain as was slippery w a four yr old up on dads shoulders! Amazing views tho. Pleased we made the effiet even if no find to log.
Cloudy day, so no surfing but hiking. Location of cache was determining the loop direction, first the cache then the hike. Quick find.
Netty and I found this to be the perfect walk to undertake on a very warm day. The shade and the occasional breeze made for pleasant conditions. The nicely hidden cache is in excellent condition.
Beautiful spot! A real hidden secret driving on that road up to the cache! Thanks! TB out
Found this one on a walk. A nice spot!

WHILE AT MAHIA FOR A FEW DAYS, I WENT TO HAVE A CHECK VISIT. EVERYTHING IS IN GOOD ORDER. ALTHOUGH THINGS WERE DRY INSIDE I PUT THE LOGBOOK IN A PLASTIC BAG JUST IN CASE!.
A perfect day for a school holiday geocaching trip to Mahia. Enjoyed lunch at Cafe Mahia, a nice walk to this cache with stunning views, a swim at Morere hot pools and then home again. Thanks for bringing us to this spot, TFTC cheers SiLiRy
Can't believe I've been coming to Mahia almost every summer since 1997 (and my husband since 1970-something) and neither of us have been up to this reserve. Thanks for bringing us here.
Interesting that paddocks look so dry and brown, yet native bush is looking lush.

Great walk if a bit slippery and steep in places. Disturbing to meet a couple walking their dogs in the reserve.
A VERY hot day and we stopped for a swim at the main Mahia beach on the way. BEautiful but not COOL enough in the sea???? Fish were jumping and birds diving - and weigh in time at the fishing club.
Easy walk and enjoyed the views. Mum and daughter did it in jandals!! TFTC

Nice easy find. Nice walk and an opportunity to introduce another family to geocacheing.
A long drive to this isolated area, then a pleasant walk to a quickly found cache, with fabulous views. TFTC
This was found on my second day in the Gisborne area. This is a great road. Quite thankful that it has been dry for a few days. A walk in a nice piece of bush.
Cheers for the cache.

Pretty exciting drive to cache site in the campervan. Nice walk up to lookout. Soon found the cache. SL -TB TFTC
Weather turned to custard, but a good trip and easy find once on track. Have done the track before and its a great area, TFTC and adding to the outing.
On a very wet day, found it easily.
Unfortunately no view at the lookout, will have to come back another time for the views that must be stunning.
TN Left: little life reminder wood token and a TB starting its journey from this corner.

Wow! A spectacular bit of scenery, and an interesting drive.
We got to the spot just as the sun started to set - the view really took our breath away. Thanks so much for bringing us here.
We had hoped for our first FTF in New Zealand but our Muggle friend found the cache before us! we might claim the honour anyway!?!
