A-haaa!! Our second attempt to find this one, we found it with some help from a friend! What a great hide, well done.
Managed to get away for a week. Let's see if Kiwicampnut and I can get through 2 mazes before I head home. Nice to be where there are plenty of unfound caches!
Mission for an overnighter is to collect the PWGT cache in Tekapo that we DNFed in October (accomplished), then a good start to the Aug/Sep labyrinth.
Another DNF avenged here. We know so much more than we did 10years ago, yet we'd checked out several places before we realise it's "this" but also "this" and carefully moved "that" to reveal what we needed.
Thanks for the cache The-Organist

Second time here to find first in 2012 on way home after Dunedin mega Now a few years on we were still a bit stumped until the ah ha moment.
I can’t read the cache title without singing that sentence! Years of my boys playing with those things and the ads for them have burned it into my brain. Anyway, I digress. On the road north today this one seemed to have so many favs that it just had to be done. Clever. Thanks for placing this.
Took a few minutes of blank staring at GZ before I had the "well there's really only one place it can be" moment. And that's where it was! TFTC.
1528. 3:31 pm. FP. The type of geocache that inspires a challenge. Found with eKitten, GRAkiWi, Li0nPaw and Jenryellea. TFT(HIPS)C.
On a quicky weekend getaway down to the South Island (from Wellington). I flew into Christchurch on Saturday morning, and then drove down to Timaru for the night. Drove back up to Christchurch Sunday afternoon and flew home late Sunday night. My goal was to catch up with a friend in Timaru, and to target a few specific caches that I need, and a few others just 'cos. This is one of them.
As I headed into Timaru I stopped here for a look. Searched a lap of the area before focusing on where the cache eventually was discovered. All good here. TFTC.

Drove around South Canterbury today, focusing on the PWGT4 caches, but doing some sightseeing along the way. Stopped for this one as it had a few favourite points. TFTC
Drove around South Canterbury today, mainly focussing on the PWGT4 caches, but doing some sightseeing along the way. Stopped for this one as it had a few favourite points. Was initially stumped by it, but then realised I'd done one similar then soon had my hand on the cache! TFTC, fav point added!
This one was bugging me since i “dnf” the other day….. was about to give up again but suddenly had an idea that paid off!!! YAY thanks
I had parked my snail shell up at the old Seadown School on Monday thinking I would be there for only one night but the weather had other ideas.
Today was a nice day so I decided to sign off a few more Timaru caches.
Cheers for the cache.

No luck for miss 6, if anyone wants to give her a hint it would be greatly appreciated haha
TFTC yah new what to look for thus time as seen a few like it now si decided to come back and yes found straight away great hide
Walked past here yesterday having previously found this very clever cache.
It's still there!!
It's still there!!
Work has sent me from Palmerston North to Timaru to get a new southern-most found cache!
Ok, they actually sent me to help relocate our branch office to a new location, but what they don’t know can’t hurt them right?
I’ve got 30min till we’re meeting for dinner, so let’s find one!
As a keen Autobots fan, I was keen to give this one a go based on the name.
I pulled up and started searching, with not much luck... I even disobeyed the instructions and crossed the fence so to see what/where con72 was looking at in their photo from February, but still no luck.
Definitely no luck! As when I crossed back over the fence I tore my brand new dress pants on the barbed wire fence [B)]
Frustrated, and running out of time, I tried one last location and was rewarded with the log. Having found this hide method a number if times before, I was disappointed that it took me so long to locate, but relieved to have a new stat on my profile.
Now, back to the motel to change my pants for dinner...

Excellent find. Not hard at all once you know what you're looking for. We've been working on this one for ages. Thanks!!
Tried to find with Geomum007, but on reflection, think it's a case of positioning the search. Clever, but is it really a P & G ?? Very busy fast road, and that's where you start to look, so next time????
Out with busy paws today, both of us had a good look but couldn't spot it, didn't want to linger too long as it's a very busy road.
Wow. Miss 9 thinks this is the cleverest one yet! This has actually taken a few attempts but we beat it this time! Thanks! x
We'd stopped here on our way to the Christchurch Mega a few years ago with no luck and since then we've passed many times but never keen to revisit a failure we'd not stopped again. Driving past today and thought it was time to try my luck again. Very surprised to find in the first place I looked! A clever cache than is worthy of a favourite point
Very sneaky, if I hadn’t of read the name of this cache never would have found it.
#17760. Took us a while to get there, but eventually Troodles laid hands on the cache. TFTC.
Today StreetWalkerNZ and I need to head back to Christchurch, having only just scratched the surface of the Oamaru and environs caches. We decided to drive north after coffee, hoping to escape the rain.
We have never been along this road before, so this cache has always been ignored as we drive through Timaru. Today, we had time to do a wee detour. Cache wasn't an instant find as I was relying on the terrain rating to narrow down the hiding places. Once I ignored that, I had an inkling about what sort of hide this was, and after a few false starts , we were signing the log book. One of the best hides of this type we have found. TFTC.

Because of the high favourites I tried to find this a couple of years ago but came up empty handed. Making my north after a couple of days away, I had to try again but still nothing. I don't know when I'll be back down here, in the end I had to PAF, I am sure I considered that last time. I've seen caches like this before how did I miss it? Thanks The-Organist

Finally.....I have no idea why we missed this the first time around. We should have known better, grrrrr.
O my goodness no wonder there are so many hearts on this one !!
and we studied it for so long with the wrong eyes!!
Thank you so much this enables me to get a souvenir.

I chose to grab a few caches on the way back to the motel tonight starting in Temuka...I took a slight detour on the drive to Timaru to look for this one. Spotted it almost straight away as I have done one similar before...great camo. Tftc
We stayed the night at the Race Course and found the back exit onto the road so wandered down this morning. I love these kind of hides. Great use of materials. Thanks for bringing us here The-Organist
I looked at this and the guide said not to climb the fence...well I guess that depends what side you are on ha ha ..soon hac the log signed ...great cache and guess it will always catch a few ..thanks Organist ..well done
We are on our summer holiday driving around the South Island with no real idea of where we will end up each day. We are often drawn to an area that has the potential to give us a few geocaching smilies and somewhere we have not spent time exploring before. In some cases we are revisiting placed that we have been before but liked so much we are going there again.
We noticed this one had heaps of favourites so we made a short detour to come and find it. To my astonishment I spotted it straight away and was signing the cache within second of arriving at gz
Thank you for placing the cache and thank you for the smiley, this one get a favourite from us

Returned to have another go at this, thought I’d broken it to start with. Such an awesome cache. Thank you!
The banians trip to Timaru for a wedding, and of course a cache or two.
The cache wasn't hard to find, I saw it striaght away but didn't know it! It was hard to identify as the cache but was very obvious once found.
TFTC The-Organist.

Had a trademe purchase to pick up in Dunedin to decided to find a few caches with a good number of favourite points while on the way down. Was meeting the CO of this cache down the road at Heavy Metal after finding this cache. Totally overthought the cache, and the cache was eventually found. Thanks for the cache.
Very clever! These are the caches which make this hobby so fun! TFTC and a fave from me.
Took a moment to spot something not quiet right. I high favourite point to drop a trackable. Thanks for something different.
A FP for this one as we nearly gave up
Many thanks to all the COs who helped make our geocaching holiday a great success
We left home early April and returned 21 May 2018. We toured from our home base up to a wedding in North Taranaki then carried on heading south right down through wellington and on down the west coast and back up via the eastern side of the alps some times going around in circles. Our aim was to get as many smiley faces on the puzzle caches that we had solved but of course stopping for many traditionals, multies and others as we went. some time we biked the bike trails or walked but mostly by campervan. we enjoyed the quite back country roads, many of them were metal but we just travelled along slowly going from cache to cache. Most caches were in good condition and I will remark if we thought it needs maintence etc.

This is the last couple of days these Aussies have to go caching in New Zealand and it has been a lot of fun. We have also enjoyed the sights and experiences we have had along the way.
This cache was not hard to find, as we have encountered similar ones before. The log was soon signed and we were on our way. Thank you to The-Organist for placing this cache. It is definitely worth a favourite point.

This had me stumped for a while and was not the first time I've called in to have a look. Today I had success instantly! Thanks for the find
We are on a road trip around the south of the South Island. Today we drove from Dunedin to Christchurch. We parked right at GZ. It took us a little while to spot this nice cache. A favourite point from us. TFTC.
Great hide that had us stumped for a few minutes, until we reread the name of the cache and the cache was quickly in hand. TFTC
Stopped here on my way home from Christchurch before grabbing some dinner in Timaru. Had a wander around GZ with no luck then after reading the description again it was a case of DOH as I had misread an important piece of information! A quick aha moment and BINGO! TFTC
Have run across a couple of these by now, there is a particularly good one in New Plymouth so it didn't take us long to spot the cache and with it being Labour Day there was noone around to interrupt us or see us. Quickly made the retrieval and signed the log. Certainly everything you need to know is in the cache listing, well done. Thanks for the cache, all good here.
5th & final day of caching for Geo-fest geo-tour with purdiepurdie; we had spent the night in Naseby & then set off to drive home to Chch via the Danseys Pass.
This has been a "bete noir" of mine for sometime; with the help an extra pair of eyes it revealed itself.
Thanks for a spectacular cache, The-Organist.

I've seen a couple of caches like this by now but still, took me some time to realize what it is. Nice one!
Sir Basil Arthur - sounds like a good name for a transformer. One that was never meant to be, an unlikely hero of the garden of planet Cybertron. The only remaining Saladbot that was not scrapped.
TFTC!

Combined forces, phlexish took a step back and found it just as we were heading to the car
Whiskasnz and I were here watching the Otago U15 boys football team smash their opponents and take out the South Island championships but unfortunately we didn't have as much joy with finding this cache. We will be back and we will find this one.... hopefully someone at the upcoming GeoFest will offer up some hints.
Add me to the list of DNF's but now that I've read many more logs, I have a much better idea of what I should have been looking for. Grrr now I want to return to Timaru.
This had us stumped for a while, I pored over the logs for research, while geowife and geotwins attacked the area. Took about 15 minutes, but geowife gets the credit. Very clever!
