As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. I would like to upgrade this cache - lake level is still too high for present position, but i'm overseas at moment so will sort it when get back
The lake level is very high at the moment and has been getting higher - I have disabled listing but am waiting to see what happens to the lake level before replacing.
Lake is so high at the moment that cache was swimming so disabled till I get a replacement there.
Loved this cache. Can't get much closer to the lake without getting wet. We grabbed this one late this evening. Great spot.

Did it as a drive by on our trip around the Lower North Island from Te Anau. TFTC
Took nana on her first cache.She thought it was just her family that referred to it as the cheese cut
finally got to this one....from a boat isn't the best approach to take but after gorse, a hint of blackberry and rough rocks got to cache....took tb, was hoping to put it in PADI but too many muggles.
Easy find once reading the clue. Nice little walk down the lake on a late afternoon. TFTC

What a wonderful lakeside spot, on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. No-one around, just us and the sound of the passing traffic. TFTC, thanks for giving us a reason to stop here.
Found today with the help of Droopy Dog TB. Inside was very wet, dried it out as best I could. Suggest maybe a different container. Perhaps big enough to accommodate soft toy TB's? TFTC.

4677 Quick find, logbook starting to get damp and maybe the last of the cheese. Suspect container isn’t quite waterproof. TFTC.
Thought this should be easy, but was not so easy in the dark, could see where it should be but couldn't spot it. Dug around and finally found it, well buried. The last one for the day. TFTC.
Saw this pop up and another close up, we see Ymana has been busy (no sure who gave us the heads up about placements in this area, but thanks).
