As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Sorry taken longer to get down here to report on this one than I expected, hoping to get there within a week, maybe less. Looks like it has gone, as owner is not maintaining it seems likely it will be archived, by a reviewer if necessary.
Greetings from Denmark
Today we went from Upper Hytt to Dannevirke to spend my birthday.
We started out the day with an 4 hour walk. Underway to Dannevirke we did a few stops and had some caches.

The owner is no longer active so unless someone finds it in the next week or so I will take a look to see if the cache is still there and if it's missing will file needs maintenance/needs archived as needed. If it is there I will replace the log.
We looked for this one at the start and end of our walk, but couldn't find the goods. The GPS was all over the place and the hint didn't help, so we abandoned the search. Never mind; the area is gorgeous so I dare say I'll be back before long - with reinforcements, who will hopefully have better caching mojo than I did today.
The hint was a little bit misleading, and the coords not to precise, but still we found it on tour around GC46.

Found today, just putting cache back and park ranger saw us and asked what we were doing and we said we were geocaching, he said he knew about the oldest cache but he thought that was the only one in the park.
Quick find but didn't sign because there was no more room.

During our drive up to Auckland we used this cache to stretch our legs. Easy find.

Found this one today. I am using this cache for a distance challenge cache. It took ages to locate this one and I was about to give up when I found it. Signed log today.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Easy find after a little bit of a search - wif Bigcheese & Sian. Log book soaking wet - couldn't write name will attach photo for proof. TFTC.
I was out this way trying to locate a nemises cache deeper in the valley and thought I could do with the exercise to come and get this one. I had tried for it before but couldn't find it. This time I looked in the obvious place and made a quick find. There was no TB in the cache. TFTC
#252. This should have been easy. But a "boy look" at the obvious site failed to reveal anything so we spread our search out further, after waiting several times for muggles to pass by. Eventually a recheck of the obvious site and oh dear, there it was... Only just had it signed and replaced when our caching friends from Auckland arrived after visiting several other nearby sites. Of course they found it immediately!! TFTC.
Down from Auckland for Christmas and had arranged an afternoon of geocaching with Uncle Sam who was also down from Auckland for Christmas.
Had previously meet GSEL and they had raced ahead of us as we had a couple of other caches of interest in the area.
We approached GZ just as they finished replacing he cache. Mr NZTravellers and UncleSam were relying to much on their GPS's and it was Mrs NZTravellers that came up with the goods much to the embarrassment of GSEL that had spent a long time locating this.
That's all the fun isn't it. We have all been in that position of "Oh yeah that was an easy find" and I've spend HOURS with no luck
Great hide.

After finding the old man nearby, we continued our hike to visit the younger ones. We had a little rain, but we loved the hike very much. As stated earlier, the log is wet ...! Thanks. Regards, paroja from the Netherlands.

It would seem the cache owner is no longer active. The container is fine just has dirt in the seals letting the water in. It really needs a new logbook and a clean so that it can be shut properly.
Was a perfect day to walk in the bush nice and sunny and protected from the wind.

Found this one together with SL_Wayne on our amazing holidays here in New Zealand!!
Thank you so much for the Cache!!

Found it, fairly straight forward, log is a little wet, so might need care sealing the vessel.

We enjoyed the little walk in this area. Sure, we were not here for walking. We wanted to visit the oldest active cache in NZ. The 3 tradi on our way shortened the time and were also nice.

Could not miss the site really. Picked it up coming back from the dam. Log is wet. Tftc
Awesome day for a walk with wafflekitties! and a couple of dogs (on leads of course) thanks for the cache!
Had trouble with phone losing reception, but lucky daughter had better phone and was able to log back in again to find this cache. Nice clue. TFTC Needs maintenance as book very damp.
Picked up this cache after finding GC46. A nice little walk back to the car park through the trees. It was a beautiful spring day for a walk. GPS was a little bit out for us but the cache didn't take too long to find. Thanks for the cache and the smiley.
Got an opportunity to relocate a campervan from Christchurch to Auckland. With 5 days up my sleeve what better excuse, than to go find some geocaches along the way. Targeting certain caches along the way to help with the geo licence series in Auckland, so not a full on numbers mission, but managed around 70 finds over the 5 days. Thanks everyone for the placements.
Wasn't going to pass up an opportunity to drive pass the oldest cache in NZ, so made a slight detour to enjoy this walk and the geocaches on it. Lots of people out today, but enough gap between them to not interfere with searching for caches. No troubles with the find here, with not to much alluring as sights firmly set on GC46. TFTC.

This one took us the longest to find than the others, maybe it was the previous logs! had a few muggles pass us by, surprised how many people were out in the rain. A well maintained track, that only had a few patches of mud and puddles. Luckily we shared the umbrella. A relief to find, another damp log, which we were able to sign. Thanks for another clever hide.

We stayed nearby last night, and set out this morning to find the oldest cache in the country. Naturally we had to stop for the caches along the way. We enjoyed our walk along Gum Tree Loop, and Alluring was a quick find. Thanks.
This is the second time we've looked for this one.Last time we searched for hours and came away empty handed. This time however, mr awesome4sumnz had it in hand within seconds of reaching GZ.TFTC

Find #1926. After an enjoyable morning on the bike round the south-east coast, decided to finish off the day with some more finds. Another quick find. SL TFTC
After doing Geocache I wandered back this way which was a nice walk. Plenty of gum trees of course so it looked a little like home. A quick find. TFTC!
Tried to find this one a couple of times without success. Did even take GPS thus time, and boom, found it easily
A nice quick find in the gloaming.

On great tour with Lemmer in New Zealnd we foundamazing spots. Thanks for all of it. Flatrate
Cache was rather exposed and clearly visible from the track. Log book was also a sodden lump of mush, so I dropped a replacement log in. Really enjoyed the walk in this area. TFTC.

We walked up on the wrong side of the river lol! Backtracked and got on the bush track side then found it. Gorgeous open spaces with winding paths. Think I walked 2k all in all
Found with BigCheeseNZ. Log only signed by BigCheeseNZ (as I didn't have my own account at the time). TFTC.
Spent the afternoon out and about in the area. This is one of seven found today. Found with I'MACACHE.
#502 Found with JimmyNZ on a rainy day. Was rather out in the open so we covered it up some.
Time to go walkies around the tracks in this area. Very glad I went clockwise around these caches.
Cheers for the cache.

With plenty of time till our ferry back to the South Island we came up here to grab the oldest cache and decided with time in hand to continue around the track and grab the others in the area. 4th find on the loop and a small search before finding. TFTC
