Today out and about on 209 of 274 days to get my daily cacher Emerald Using my Garmin Etrex 22X and MacBook Air!Thanks for the cacheTFTC
Found it! A lazy morning today after a full day caching yesterday and a late night drive out to get some photos of the Aurora. Finally decided to get out of the house about 2pm, chose to knock off this fairly local series. Quick find here, just a log in a bag, no container. TFTC!
Out and about caching early this morning before it gets really hot. Found the cache and signed the log. TFTC OxFireSafe
Staying at Andrews Farm and came up early this morning while it is cooler to visit the Prime Ministers and some other caches around about. Thanks to the COs.
Found with the Nelson crew on our way back to Adelaide for the mega. Nearly there now just wasting a bit of time now so we don't hit rush hour traffic.
We are now making our way back to Adelaide for the leap day mega tomorrow. Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie are signing our logs as SPBINZ or sometimes SPINZ as BT has done a large number of caches on the Peninsula. TFTC OzFiresafe#16176
Found as part of the SPBINZ team (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ, and Nanzie). Today we've taken a slower and more scenic route along the coast as we head back towards Adelaide for the main event tomorrow and trying to target caches Bullertrout hasn't found on his previous visits. We have just completed the big **6 0** on the map and have decided to sign off a few of this series before we finish for the day. At least I'm familiar with this list of names unlike the PSA series where I don't think I knew any. TFTC OzFiresafe and kia ora from Aotearoa/New Zealand # 21,771**tepoti/Dunedin is the place to be 26-27 October, 2024 for GCA7ZHD - Geo Toroa Mega! Please come and join in the fun, find heaps of caches and experience some wonderful Southern hospitality.**
Caching as team SPBINZ: Sidewaze, Paddlechick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie from Nelson, New Zealand. Having had one record day caching (430+) and then another quite full on (200+) were a bit more laid back today, taking our time for a good look around, several AdLabs some earthcaches and generally a more laid-back sort of a day.People sometimes ask how you can see much of the scenery when youre so busy caching but I find I see more than the average tourist who keeps to tar-sealed roads and drives from town to town. So, another awesome day exploring rural and small town South Australia. And learning a bit of history along the way.Greetings from the Shaky Isles across the ditch and many thanks for the hide.
Found with SPINBNZ Team Another nice easy find on this great trail thanks for placing this trail for us to find firesafe
TFTC OzFiresafe your cache APM -- 1966-67 -- Harold Holt that we found today. Day 4 in Mallala as we wait for the Leap Day Mega. After a solo trip around town we headed off to find the Australian Prime Minister series from Mallala toward Owen. We needed to replace a couple of containers as they were damaged beyond use. Find Count: 18404
Finally got back to turn this DNF into a smilie. Road had been freshly graded and cache was missing last time. Quick findTFTC
Spent the day doing a family history tour with Mum around Hamley Bridge, as my grandfather was born there, plus finding caches along the way.
Found a few of this series just before sunset on our way to a nearby pub for dinner.
Thought this one might have gone missing...

Will disable until I do the next maintenance run in May and put out a new one for the new Premier
Like others before us got out and had a look around nothing but a sign part of a bush and a newly built fence. Guessing it has been well and truely buried.
Like Harold Holt…this cache has disappeared.
Works have been going on. Nothing to be found.

There is nothing left here but a sign post. Oh and a small plant that only survived due to its proximity to the post. All the trees have been ripped out. I did a quick scan but suspect the cache container is history.
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. TFTC OzFiresafe

I still can’t believe that there is a Harold Holt Swim Centre in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
I’ve just finished what I can of the “60” Geoart, and I popped across the Highway to log Bob Hawke, and just kept going. I’d already started this series at the south end earlier, so close to finishing the series now. Thanks OzFiresafe; for the caches, the history and the recent maintenance.

Wow no fence. Hope Harold made it to Tasmania or New Zealand or wherever he was going. Thanks OZFiresafe for the new cache.
Out on a maintenance run today - a new container and log sheet for this one. Good to go.
Day 2 - (bit bummed that today's finds wont make Feb stats!) A drive to Hamley Bridge to surprise an old bud (yes, not that far I know, but add time from Happy Valley!!) .. and I've grabbed a few caches on the ring route!!! tftc firesafe
Day 182 (Thursday 27th) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Tailem bend today. A total of 15 for the day and 3495 for the trip. TFTC.
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Left Kadina this morning, and took a long roundabout drive to Mallala, via Lochiel and Balaklava.
Thought this one might be missing too, but we stumbled across the cache. I am old enough to remember Harold, but not as PM, just as the fact that he went for a swim off the south coast of Victoria and was taken by aliens!
Thanks firesafe

TFTC. SL. While on holiday from the NT. Thanks to firesafe, out for a history lesson today with local caching team Pegasus46.
It was a lovely sunny autumn day so with our N T cachers Peerages we decided to do the Prime Ministers series which we thought appropriate as by tomorrow a new one may need to be added after we have all voted.
Thanks a good series
Thanks a good series
We found this cache soon enough once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and for the interesting information on the cache page. Greetings from Zimbabwe
An afternoon caching expedition had been organised with Michells&hound to tackle the February OTD series and the Prime Ministers series along with a few others along the way. [^]
M&h had also targeted three multis which we added to the list, and we also found. We had a successful afternoon (4 finds and 2 DNF's) which ended up extending into the early evening, but hey when you are on a roll... It was a beautiful day for caching, warm with a breeze which turned into quite a cool wind at the end of our day so it didn't bother us too much. Saw lots of wildlife with one huge paddock containing hundreds of goats running around...I had never seen so many goats in one place.
We had finished the OTD series, grabbed a few multis and a couple of random trads on the way to the Prime Ministers. We started with the last one, wondering how long before the next cache will need placing. [?][?] We didn't know how far we would get but in the end we completed them all with no DNF's. It was a fun series with long gaps between caches and a few different containers.
Thanks for the cache and series OzFiresafe.

After lots of dramas at work it was nice to finish at lunch time and head out on an afternoon caching expedition with JJ52.
The plan was to tackle the February OTD series and the Prime Minister series.
I also requested the add in of 3 multis as I am trying to qualify for the SFE multi challenge which is still a long way off.
We had a great afternoon/early evening out finding over 60 caches and only 2 dnf which both appeared to be missing.
The weather was glorious, not too hot and made for a super afternoon.
Thankfully no snakes were seen but we were vigilant as it seemed like perfect snakey weather. Plenty of birds were seen as well as a rabbit, lizard and many many goats and other farming animals.
TFTC and this series we found all. Really enjoyed this series was nice to have some big gaps between them and enjoyed the rural dirt road drive.

Today was a prime day to minister to the needs of these geocachers, so along with ilook4geo the hunt was on to collect most of the caches placed in honour of our Australian Prime Ministers to the current one. Each cache was a nice easy find, all log books had two more names duly noted and each was then hidden again to await the next finder.
Thank you to firesafe for placing all these caches and for the cache pages with some history about each Prime Minister.

Found this series while out caching with goingplaces2. Interesting series and page notes. It took us on a tour of the countryside with some different sights. We had a fun and successful day. TFTC.
Got here to a quick find on a windy, rainy day. Even the dog stayed in the car. Cache dry, albeit with a cracked lid and safe for now from elements. CO messaged. TYFTC SLTNLN

A day of epic geocaching that became my most number of caches in a day of 101. I was geocaching with gridge98 as we found half the Australian Prime Minister series, two OTD series for February and April, a small cluster of recently published Watervale caches that were FTFs, a selection of riding our bikes down the Rattler Trail, and finally driving finding caches back to home.
It’s funny and ironic that Harold Holt is generally well known for his death than any of his good or hard work he did whilst in office. Funny us Aussies like that. Thanks.

A good day out caching in and around the are Clare valley area, a total of 101 cache with a few way point issues for some of the multis. Our main target was the near by OTD series.
Along the way we picked up some of the APM series which were mostly easy finds TFTC

Day 6 of an 8 day epic tour of SA.
Based in Tarlee, today's goal was some OTD caches and the APM series.
Various side tracks to get other finds along the way were added in as they presented themselves.
The OTD series are so different in style of hide so that kept things interesting.
The APM was a long drive for few caches which we didnt really enjoy but it was heading in the direction of our accommodation so was convenient.
Again, I was impressed by the diversity of the SA countryside and it was a pleasant day.
204 caches found today. Apologies for the generic log.
All caches were found in good condition unless mentioned at the start of my log.

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.
All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!
Today our journey continued from Adelaide to Port Augusta. Some trail caches and others logged on the way.

Had a day off work Friday decided that I would do some more caching so planned to make a serious dent in this neck of the woods, I must say that it wasn't a to bad of a day only missed a couple but there were some caches that may need to be checked as these were unsignable due to water damage or logs full. Big thankyou to all cache owners who maintained their caches it makes it worth the trip and a good day all round.
I don’t t know why this wasn’t done on this date as i found with Northstar76. ??
Crawled about the weeds for a bit but like the previous cacher, I'll come back when the weeds are not as tall as me!
