Found it! A lazy morning today after a full day caching yesterday and a late night drive out to get some photos of the Aurora. Finally decided to get out of the house about 2pm, chose to knock off this fairly local series. Got this one on the return journey as there was a farmer on his tractor right at GZ on the way. TFTC!

We are now making our way back to Adelaide for the leap day mega tomorrow. Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie are signing our logs as SPBINZ or sometimes SPINZ as BT has done a large number of caches on the Peninsula. TFTC OzFiresafe#16168

Caching as team SPBINZ: Sidewaze, Paddlechick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie from Nelson, New Zealand. Having had one record day caching (430+) and then another quite full on (200+) were a bit more laid back today, taking our time for a good look around, several AdLabs some earthcaches and generally a more laid-back sort of a day.People sometimes ask how you can see much of the scenery when youre so busy caching but I find I see more than the average tourist who keeps to tar-sealed roads and drives from town to town. So, another awesome day exploring rural and small town South Australia. And learning a bit of history along the way.Greetings from the Shaky Isles across the ditch and many thanks for the hide.

28-Feb-24
Found as part of the SPBINZ team (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ, and Nanzie). Today we've taken a slower and more scenic route along the coast as we head back towards Adelaide for the main event tomorrow and trying to target caches Bullertrout hasn't found on his previous visits. We have just completed the big 6 0 on the map and have decided to sign off a few of this series before we finish for the day. At least I'm familiar with this list of names unlike the PSA series where I don't think I knew any. TFTC OzFiresafe and kia ora from Aotearoa/New Zealand # 21,763**tepoti/Dunedin is the place to be 26-27 October, 2024 for GCA7ZHD - Geo Toroa Mega! Please come and join in the fun, find heaps of caches and experience some wonderful Southern hospitality.**

Decided to get out and about to collect some more caches again this Good Friday, while making a journey up to the Yorke Peninsula to perform maintenance on some of my existing caches and hide a new one as well.

The Australian Prime Ministers trail and It's a Small World are on the radar today, including some other caches hidden around the towns of Mallala, Long Plains, Wallaroo, Tickera, Alford, Parham and Webb Beach.

A total of 77 finds and 7 DNFs for the day.

A little bit of bloodshed but that's all just part of what makes geocaching fun.

I started the Australian Prime Ministers trail back in mid-2021.

Today I returned for caches I didn't get around to last time or couldn't find.

Easy find here today.

Put my signature in the log book and returned the cache to its hiding spot.

Signed as "P.Goldy"

Happy Easter to all Geocachers.

Thanks to OzFiresafe for this cache.

Thanks firesafe for the cache and the series. A successful day of caching in the hot conditions. Howard was one of the only politicians to introduce a new wholesale tax for the country, not a common thing to be done. Cache all good here. Find #5224

Today I had a number in mind, a required number of caches for 2021 and for many reasons, I was a little behind as December rolled through. Today was the last day to bolster some numbers for 2021 but the weather was not on the same page. So I rose early and hit the trail by 6.30am to avoid some of the heat. With a few of the OTD’s missing from the set, and several others that didn’t want to play ball, I ended up at 2.30pm with 9 more to get. Balaklava was not forthcoming so went south to Owen to complete the haul. A great day out, with the temperature ranging between 40 and 45 degrees from 11am onwards. Thanks to all the CO’s for their placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today, with the Adelaide COVID-19 lockdown lifted, I decided to head north and target the *Australian Prime Ministers* (APM) Trail, and the *It's a Small World* 60 series. I swung by St Kilda initially, reminiscing about the playground and mangroves I once visited as a child, and then continued to snake my way north following the Prime Ministers, and visiting Mallala in doing so. It drizzled on/off for most of the day, and as the rain started to set in as the sun set, I decided to take that opportunity to head home.

I commenced this APM trail starting at our well known first Prime Minister, Edmund Barton, at 13:45 hr, and from taking a few detours, ended up finishing at John Howard at 19:15 hr. I did notice that it wasn't the usual "power trail" given the distances in between caches, but perhaps I was also a little thankful at driving this series solo, and having a good rest in between. This geocache was found quickly, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Firesafe/OzFiresafe for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

An afternoon caching expedition had been organised with Michells&hound to tackle the February OTD series and the Prime Ministers series along with a few others along the way. [^]

M&h had also targeted three multis which we added to the list, and we also found. Big Grin We had a successful afternoon (4 finds and 2 DNF's) which ended up extending into the early evening, but hey when you are on a roll...Wink It was a beautiful day for caching, warm with a breeze which turned into quite a cool wind at the end of our day so it didn't bother us too much. Saw lots of wildlife with one huge paddock containing hundreds of goats running around...I had never seen so many goats in one place. Surprised

We had finished the OTD series, grabbed a few multis and a couple of random trads on the way to the Prime Ministers. We started with the last one, wondering how long before the next cache will need placing. [?][?] We didn't know how far we would get but in the end we completed them all with no DNF's. Big Grin It was a fun series with long gaps between caches and a few different containers. Cool

Thanks for the cache and series OzFiresafe. Smile

After lots of dramas at work it was nice to finish at lunch time and head out on an afternoon caching expedition with JJ52.
The plan was to tackle the February OTD series and the Prime Minister series.
I also requested the add in of 3 multis as I am trying to qualify for the SFE multi challenge which is still a long way off.
We had a great afternoon/early evening out finding over 60 caches and only 2 dnf which both appeared to be missing.
The weather was glorious, not too hot and made for a super afternoon.
Thankfully no snakes were seen but we were vigilant as it seemed like perfect snakey weather. Plenty of birds were seen as well as a rabbit, lizard and many many goats and other farming animals.
TFTC and this series we found all. Really enjoyed this series was nice to have some big gaps between them and enjoyed the rural dirt road drive.

Today was a prime day to minister to the needs of these geocachers, so along with ilook4geo the hunt was on to collect most of the caches placed in honour of our Australian Prime Ministers to the current one. Each cache was a nice easy find, all log books had two more names duly noted and each was then hidden again to await the next finder.
Thank you to OzFiresafe for placing all these caches and for the cache pages with some history about each Prime Minister.

Found with FUF009.
Day 6 of an 8 day epic tour of SA.
Based in Tarlee, today's goal was some OTD caches and the APM series.
Various side tracks to get other finds along the way were added in as they presented themselves.
The OTD series are so different in style of hide so that kept things interesting.
The APM was a long drive for few caches which we didnt really enjoy but it was heading in the direction of our accommodation so was convenient.
Again, I was impressed by the diversity of the SA countryside and it was a pleasant day.
204 caches found today. Apologies for the generic log.
All caches were found in good condition unless mentioned at the start of my log.

Had a day off work Friday decided that I would do some more caching so planned to make a serious dent in this neck of the woods, I must say that it wasn't a to bad of a day only missed a couple but there were some caches that may need to be checked as these were unsignable due to water damage or logs full. Big thankyou to all cache owners who maintained their caches it makes it worth the trip and a good day all round.

Needed a cache for the day, so why not make that twenty!
Went for a short run to pick up a few PMs I hadn't been past before Cool
The only PM who's eyebrows have been used as a hint for a cache hide (as far as I know!).

Sadly the tree Mr Howard's cache may have been attached to or hidden within has undergone some destruction.
There is still a nice hollow base, but by torchlight I couldn't find a cache (and so far they've all been pretty good).
Looks like the storm recently may have damaged the burnt tree some more and then a chainsaw might have been involved too.
Will watch to see if anyone else finds it or gets checked Smile

Thanks for the challenge OzFiresafe
will place on the watch list and return asap!

This cache has been temporarily disabled due to a recent fire in the area. An extensive area of farmland has been burnt out and poses a potential risk to public safety. [Green]G'Day from W.A.[/Green]

Out and about with FelixII again today we moved on up the road from Highway 1 Caravan park to the Mallala show grounds to free camp for a few days. The weather was wet, wet, wet and did I mention the hail and icy cold wind?

After arriving rather late in the day we headed off to find the PM series of caches. All were straighforward hides luckily as the weather was rather miserable (did I mention the rain and hail) and the roads were muddy and flooded.

Thanks for your cache OzFiresafe, we had fun.

02-May-14
Touring Australia having left Perth in late February and attending Oz Mega. Now we are leisurely checking out the rest of the State.

Today we moved on from Highway 1 in company with friends iluvtrekking.

We had many reasons to not leave until lunchtime. Once we were finally on the road we arrived at Two Wells when we had a phone call and a reason to return again to Highway 1 caravan park. [B)] Red Face [xx(]

We unhitched the caravan and Mr Felix went hunting caches whilst Mrs Felix retraced our steps.

It was raining and hailing during our drive today and on arrival the camping area was fairly muddy. We quickly decided on likely spots to set down our homes on wheels.

Then it was into wet weather attire and our assault on the APM series commenced. Big Grin

The weather was pretty cruddy, but the drive was great out in the countryside. It was dark o'clock before we finished with today but we happily returned to Roast Pork for dinner.

Interesting idea for a series. Nice quick finds. Just making the right decision on where to park so the finder didn't step out into a puddle was the biggest problem we encountered today.
