Brilliant day up the Bay, introducing my other bro' to the joys of geocaching. Cache found easily as it appeared to have been thrown in the grass or moved by an animal so had to jump the fence to retrieve it. Container was a little waterlogged so dried as best we could. SLTN. Re-hid as hint suggested and used a bit more camouflage. Should still be able to reach through the fence and hug a tree! TFTC
Beautiful area to be in today, though a little overcast, and we had planned a swim, but a shark sighting had brought all the people out of the water. Oh well, gotta keep cacheing then. The container was in plain view, and could not be reached from the right side of the fence, so it may have been moved around a little. Lots of muggles about. TFTC.
Happy Australia Day! Staying with geofamily in Fingal Bay for the long weekend so after spending the day at the beach at Shoal Bay we thought why not round the day off with the local cache before dinner at the local surf club. As we approached GZ geowife spotted it straight away as it was partly exposed and geodaughter went over the fence to retrieve it, you have to be a giant to reach behind the tree! With no muggles about I signed log and geodaughter replaced cache with some more cammo so it isn't as obvious as we found it. Loving our stay at Port Stephens. TNLNSL TFTC.
Found it on a glorious Friday while staying in the area. A nice quick find during a break in the muggle traffic. TFTC
Council took some branches down we were disappointed for a while till we succeeded. Great one for kids!
This was a super easy cashe and it was also my friends first in Port Stephens. TFTC
What's with the cache's near sewerage around here. There's was a nasty smell in the air. Left a little 'prize' in this one.
Visiting some friends at Fingal Bay who I haven't seen for years. Need to get out of the house late in the arvo so suggest this cache. All are keen, I spot it quite easily and let Flynn make the find. TFTC.
Found Cache out in the open a few metres away from GZ. All in tact and nothing missing though. Placed back where I thought it should be based on the clue. Cheers! [:o)]
Found today with Jennie1. Not as straightforward as we expected, but found after a few minutes by geokid #1. TFTC.
A lazy day around Nelson Bay with Bettyboo, and then in the afternoon a short ride down to Fingal Bay.
This was our first in Fingal Bay. Not sure what the name means.
But a quick grab just over the fence.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 4435. Robmc and I rode our bikes to the few in Fingal Bay. This was our first for the afternoon. Nice bike path. A quick reach and the cache was in hand. TFTC
A quick find with my son who was along for the walk. After the find we went to the play ground. The local council workers we using special machines to stir up the tambark. Something I had never seen before.
Thanks for the fun.
Thanks for the fun.
Quick find but had to do a special move to get to the cache so I didn't have to go into the fenced area.
SL and RNTD safe.

Thanks for all the fantastic caches around the beautiful Nelson Bay area. Not sure how you are meant to reach it without going over the fence. TFTC
Am guessing the tree has moved away from the fence since placement or I am short. Tftn
I couldn't quite reach this cache without going through the fence no matter how far i stretched. This is such a great area and has lots of great caches as well.
Another beautiful day in Nelson Bay! Cache was very easy to find. We made our way to the nearby beach access and were rewarded with another fantastic view of the bay. TFTC!
Holidaying in Nelson Bay with my family as well as my parents (myfos), we decided to visit the beach at Fingal Bay. After lunch at the pleasant cafe we decided to find the nearby cache, so while the geowife looked after the 2 younger kids at the playground the rest of us went searching.
We took the instructions literally, and couldn't find anything, so decided to send Geokid8 over the fence, where he quickly made the find (there must have been some cache creep). Geokid8 was keen on taking the Mighty Beanz for his collection, but we didn't have anything to leave, so had to disappoint the lad. I signed the log, as did Mrs myfos, before requesting gk8 to rehide. He tried to move it closer to the fence, but couldn't make the camo effective, so we ended up leaving the cache where it was.

Found it with the family on our way home from a lovely day at the beach. TNLN. TFTC.
Geokid was enthralled by the nearby park. Found this one quite easily - although we also think it has suffered from geo-creep TFTC #145
Great cache location! Had me stumped (get it?!) for a minute and I couldn't find a break in traffic but eventually got it! Took nothing, left a TB. TFTC!
We think this one is suffering from placement creep ; after scaling the fence geohubby's foot soon located the cache. It's not far from thetree SL, TNLN, TFTC Madstars
Well we got to this gz and first went where is the fence? Looks like they have pulled it down. We searched but couldnt find the cache either.
From Melbourne on a boys fishing weekend trip popped over too what a great area. Nice hide
After completing the 35 + final long Nelson Bay to Shoal Bay power trail and having some lunch we headed down to Fingal Bay to nab a few caches.
What a day of caching. Awesome.
Saw and photographed (at fairly close range) several black cockatoos. Beautiful!

Quick find after swim at Fingal bay - so hot, but water so cold! Looked like it had just been thrown into the bush near the fence, tried to hide it a bit better under some grass. #138 tftc

We ventured toward Nelson Bay with DiMorgan for a good day of caching. The weather was overcast but quite pleasant. We had a list of caches to wanted to find and this was one of them. This is such a scenic part of the coast which makes caching most enjoyable.
Thanks to MADSTARS.

Our first find on a day of bike-riding, geocaching, photography and bush-walking. We stopped for a coffee near the surf club and then it didn't take us too long to locate the GZ (without electronic gadgetry!)Took Girl Guide coin and left Kensington Grasshopper. There's plenty of grass here to keep him well fed for a while before he moves on.

Had to be careful here as there were so many muggles around on a beautiful sunny spring day. Quickly found, logged and returned. TFTC
1/10/12 11:25 AM. Cache #140. Cycled from Shoal to Fingal to pick a few extra caches up today. This was a bit too easy to spot so I covered it up a bit more.
We found this near a cool park at Fingal Bay, while waiting for our geofriends to get here from Shoal Bay. It was easy to find. TFTC! [8)]
