Shesh is seems just me who could not find this. Had a good look but no joy. Will be back!
Found by Mary & David at 1330. What a stunning place. Water level almost up to the board walk. Clouds of dragonflies were strafing the water weeds, and a mother black swan sailed triumphantly about with her fluff-ball cygnets. Our thanks once more to TurtlesEdge
This was a really nice walk.
There were lots of waterbirds and an easy find.

This is an area we had no idea was here.
Probably only the neighbors know of it.
We enjoyed the walk down to the cache and found it in the first place we looked.
Thanks TurtlesEdge.

An almost amazing cache, the location is great and I had alot of fun going up the quiet path. If only there was a proper sized container and logbook, this could have been a winner cache
Been a long time since last visit to Winter Swamp as a student counting Ibis but great to see it full of water and wildlife at the moment.
Lots of breeding activity (water birds that is).

We very much enjoyed the wander down this path, made all the better for having a cache to fine! Thanks for a great cache
Went to the cache from North but there was no dry way how to get to it. So I took off my shoes and socks . But it's not the only way how to get the cache. Actually it was a lot easier than it seemed from the North side.
A great place, worth to visit! But the cache lied down there at the bench and was very well visible. Hid it a bit more accurate.

Found this cache after a fair old search around. Ended up needing a lifeline as our gps had us a bit of a distance off.

4th find of the day, and 2505th total find at 12:55.
Once again we enjoyed the stroll down a path we would never have found were it not for Geocaching.
(We think that perhaps, given such a fine location, that our grandkids would have enjoyed the experience if a little more planning had gone into the placement of this cache. For example, a larger container that contained some swaps, and was hidden with a little more thought instead of just being jammed into a crevice where it doesn't really fit.)
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing (Screwdriver wouldn't fit)
Dropped: Benchmark TB
Thanks TurtlesEdge for the cache

Having thrown the bike in the car,
this was a good enough reason to test the fitness, and the balance, just a little.
Great little spot to come and contemplate the world, ahh, the serenity.
My thanks once again to TigersDen FTC, SL

Had a bit of fun getting to this one as 42below and I decided to have a long walk to it.
Wet feet were in order as I stepped into water as we tried to take a shortcut from the direction we walked in.
After a detour we ended up on the right path and quickly had the cache.
TFTC and the fun we had getting there.

Love the area, it's quite tranquel except for the air traffic. In a place like this it is a shame fellow cachers have trampled the place quite a bit trying to look in all the obvious places a micro could be hidden...hopefully nature will regenerate the damaged plantlife. The coords are only out by 5 mts and it's easy to see why so many people have walked right past it to the obvious which is obviously wrong! On arrival we stood at GZ and then followed the hint, we found it straight away...thats the nature of the game! TFTCSL
Find # 3205 and 14th of the day @ 4:12 pm after the "10 Years! Ballarat, Australia" Event. Accompanied by Fozzy778, it took us a while to find a way in but eventually with the help of Caughtatwork got to our target, left my mark in the log, TNLN, thanx TurtlesEdgey....
Alansee and Acts2YG had been here earlier in the day with no joy but after receiving a bit of a hint at the event a return visit was required to find this cache

Found today with WB-Holden at 5:00pm after Event, '10 Years'.
When arriving at the car park WB' had decided that we will do this one with the push bikes and upon arriving we met Rabbitto, had a chat and joined in the search. After a good look and Rabbitto phoned a friend, cache was located. Thanks TurtlesEdge.

This was cache # 15 of 45 for the day, the cache was found on the way to the Ballarat event in the company of Alansee. We had a try at this one earlier in the day and could not find it, but after getting a hint we returned and soon had it in hand, seemed to be people coming and going all over the place here. My thanks to TurtlesEdge for the cache.
Before leaving Geelong to attend the10 Year! Ballarat, Australia Event I had a call from tackle_head asking me what I was doing and if I was coming up to Ballarat I could join their team of cachers consisting of 3up, The Empire and squalid.
After attending the Event the five of us went hunting for caches and this one was next on our list.
Finding our way in was not a problem but finding the well hidden cache was. We resorted to the phone and Rabbitto gave us the hint required for us to locate this guy. Must say that the area around the platform took a beating. My co-ords were a little out causing me to hunt in the area like most others.
Thanks TurtlesEdge for showing us this area.
Find # 1165 @ 16:32 and the 24th of 30 finds on the cache run whilst attending the "Ballarat 10 Year! celebration event" with Bushfire, The Empire, tackle_head and squalid.
Talk about bush bashing. This one has taken a bit of a beating today due to the event. It put up a fight and resulted in phone a friend for a little tip. The log was signed and it was then off to the next one. Thanks to TurtlesEdge for the cache.

This took some searching for but not need be - co-ords were out and had to phone a friend - thanks Turtles edge

28/32, after the 10 Years! Ballarat Event, with tackle_head, 3up, squalid and Bushfire. We passed some cachers on our way in and needed to phone them for a hint to find the cache. I'm not sure if this is meant to be this hard but in the short time it has been here the area has gotten an unfortunate beating from cachers looking for this micro. I hope this great area doesn't get too damaged! Thanks.

Good to see the swamp was wet and lucky for us that the path to GZ was high and dry.
At this early stage we already had wet socks, any wetter than that would be too awful to contemplate at 8.45am.
A tricky hide as several people either mentioned problems at the event or called me later.

Found today following the 10 Years! event in Ballarat.
Nice hidden area here, didn't know it existed!!
Hardest part was actually finding the "legal" way in!!
Found with C@W, whom I've wanted to meet for AGES!!
Find # 545. 4.00pm. Went with Oenze!
Thanks

A nice walk out along a well formed path, that was a nice surprise!
We arrived fairly dry, but Feathertop tried to fix that by slipping down the slight slope.
No birds to see out on the swamp this morning. Plenty of fog though.
Thanks, Robmc.

[Deano had attempted this one on Wednesday and left empty handed.
Probably shouldn't have relied totally on the GPS, as it had me on the wrong side of the search area.]
Judging from the geotrail, it looks like it wasn't just me who thought that a mints tin might have been hidden in a different manner at GZ.
[Found today with all three of 2Dudez as well as Team Rav and ran into Roundcircle and GeoFerret at GZ.
A fantastic location that has left many of us "old timers" wondering why no-one has ever put a cache here before.
Many thanks to TurtlesEdge for bringing us here ]

I came, I saw, but I didn't conquer. The satellite gods weren't smiling on me, and after some fruitless searching, I left to move on to other caches. I enjoyed the walk out to GZ and the whole area, so thanks for taking me there.
We found this cache at 5:00pm as the 25th of 31 on our Ballaratat Tour VI. We checked all the obvious spots but were not keen on getting a thorn from a blackberry so we were very tentative. After about 10 minutes, Shane Thompson rolled up as well and after some frustration, we finally called the help line who guided us to the right spot. We are fairly sure that Eclipse containers are going to cop a bit of a beating when in places like this so it may pay to keep an eye on this one. It was a nice walk over and we also met up with another 5 geocaching teams on their way there whilst we were all walking back to our cars. (I feel that they fared no better than us on their hunt) Thanks from D, HA and A B-A.
Well, we should have done better on this one! After a reasonable search we came up empty handed and left. At the event shortly afterwards we were advised of where to look and a bit of slapping ensued! We were back in the area later and found what we had missed before.
Found after attending the 10 Year event, where we met the owner of this cache. I've been out here before and had scouted it out as a potential hiding place, but clearly never actually got around to actually placing a cache here. When I was last here it was bone dry, and so it would have been easy to walk out to the islands. I considered placing a cache out there, waiting for the rains to come, then enabling it. But I no idea how I'd maintain it. [B)]
Like the Skipton rail trail, I'd like to recommend you re-consider the cache container. An eclipse tin will rust very quickly here, and there's really plenty of opportunity for something that would be big enough for bugs and swaps. In fact an Ammo can, which you can get from Aussie Disposals for $10, would work really well here. I think you'll find the pretty much all cachers like the bigger caches much more than these little bush micros.
Great to see a new cache hider in the area. I look forward to seeing lots more.
Thanks for bringing us here.

We had a good look for this while not damaging the surrounding environment to no avail.Eventually called the hotline to the group we saw heading out before us. Thanks for the hide in a nice location.

Oh dear. I drove many miles to find the right entrance, but I got there in the end after meeting Oenze and Fozzy778 on their way too.
A nice stroll to GZ but there it all went downhill.
The area around the lookout has been beaten to within an inch of it's life which is a pity because the cache isn't at that location.
I eventually found it through luck more than cunning.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks TurtlesEdge for this cache today.

Lovely walk in to this cache spot so thanks for bringing mobmoore here. Looked for ages, and usually it's always at the obvious spots, not the difficult ones. Finally found it right before we needed to leave. TFTC.
Last find of the day. Never new this was here, being so close to home! A great little area to have a walk, sit and relax. I think we spent more time trying to find the correct road into the swamp than we did looking for the cache. We were even on the right road at one stage and we thought it was a driveway and turned back around! Maps can be handy some time, even if they are for less than 2KM from your house! At GZ we had a quick search and resulted the cache in hand. The cache was stuck in its hiding hole for a while so we had to nudge it out.
TNLN SL Thanks TurtlesEdge for taking us here, a place we will certainly be back!

Found at 5:30pm whilst on our way home. Didn't know this place existed having passed here nearly twice every day.

There really are some morons about! Fancy setting rabbit traps in a lovely public sanctuary like this. Hope the culprit gets a finger caught next time. Really enjoyed this visit and it was good to see a bit of surface water in the wetland. The frogs thought so too. Pleasant stroll to GZ and a FTF after a short ferretting about. (No!! I'm not advocating ferretting here either!) Thanks again TurtlesEdge.
