TFTC. After a bit of a search we finally uncovered it!Setting up camp for a week in Murray Bridge before the MEGA for 29th Feb!Moving to Ballarat for another week afterwards. Last hurrah travelling before wooding season at home starts!Happy caching and safe travels!
The Leap Day Mega was a great excuse to come down from Queensland and weve had a busy time exploring Adelaide and surrounds cache by cache. Meeting up with friends old and new, we sometimes cached with them and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Although I have been to Adelaide before, this trip has shown me so many new and interesting places as Ive chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches for everyone to enjoy.
Found with the SQUIRM team. We've made the journey down from SE Queensland for the MEGA, so booked ourselves in for a week and a bit, of fun, Festival and caching. After a morning event we are now doing a bit of exploring around the area. Took quite a bit of searching, Davinells came up with the goods??Thanks for the cache ????
Its day 6 and Team SQUIRM are heading east, weve picked up a QLD hitchhiker to make a team of seven for the day. After an event in Mannum we are touring around the area seeing the sights.Driving up we were discussing the relevance to the name but that question was soon answered. We started our search but were led astray for a while by a previous log so it took longer than was necessary. Very happy to find this oldie.Tftc Team PiggyFind #5641
Found in our group of seven Queenslanders unsupervised in Radelaide mega'ing. Stacey's mom has not got it going on so Stacey has to step up to the plate again. All logs signed or stamped as SQUIRM. Thanks for the cache Team Piggy
Another day in Adelaide and SQUIRM are on the road again this time with a hitchhiker from QueenslandAn early start saw us soon stopping to wait for the little man from the village who got Staceys Mum back on the road again after her second flat tyre in two days Weve been too hard on Staceys MumFirst stop was Mannum to attend The Best Breakfast Event in the world ever then more targeted caching challenges, D/Ts, high faves and anything else we stepped over along the way there might even have been a new LGA in thereThanks Team Piggy
Had to stop and grab this as we went past as it is an oldie that we don't have. Had a search but with no luck grabbed our pole out of the car to prod the bushes. A few pokes and prods late a cache was located. tftc#7317
Nope, lol not for us today lol too good for us , even with four eyes ha ha Spent some time looking but we were so tired from driving back from Melbourne to Adelaide, we thought we would leave this for another time
No good today, we looked far and wide.On the way home from a Melbourne trip with Kyliesmiley
Found it! Stopped by on the way home from a day out caching near Murray Bridge and the Kinchina Conservation Park. Found eventually, well hidden after revisiting the first spot I had looked in! TFTC!

Thanks for placing and managing the upkeep of hides, regardless of whether we won or failed.

Early in 2021 I received an invite from GoosenEgg and Stainless Steel Rat to join them on a caching trip to the Mega in South Australia. As planning got underway some caches with high Favorite points, very old caches, and the On Your Bike Series were listed as "must-dos"
The trip ended up being 10 days of solid and very enjoyable caching with quite a few highlights. The find count for the trip was around the 950 mark when all GCA, Adventure Lab, and GC caches are included. The high point for finds was a day of 335 finds in the one day, which would have been more, but a sudden storm put the end to caching for the day. No one was interested in getting out of the car to find a cache in a downpour in the dark
We were lucky enough to find Gawler Fort Knox, Dustin's Cache, and my favorite for the trip Barossa High (From 21st of January 2001 with the original log book still in place) all in the one day.
Unfortunately, the caching around the mega was beset by bad weather and the day we had put aside for Mount Gambier was scrapped due to a covid case in Mount Gambier on the previous day, so we avoided the area. We all enjoyed the Fishing series and just managed to get the remaining of these before the light failed for the day.
In the end I managed to completed my D/T grid for the first (and possibly the second time) which was my aim for the year, although some of the D/T combinations were not really achievable in Tasmania without a 3 day overnight bush walk.

Today we were heading back to Adelaide to fly home. We detoured to find this old cache 'on the way'. The road was a little worse for wear near GZ but didn't bother us at all. A quick find.
Thanks Team Piggy
The Millicent Mega trip had been a long time in the making, for the Tassie trio of stainless steel rat, budgietas and gooseandegg, due to a couple of false starts thanks to COVID19. More and more caches were added to the extensive list as planning was being finalized. We focused on old caches, large caches, certain D/Ts, virtual caches, the On your Bike series and a few other special ones on our journey. Our route saw us caching in Adelaide for a few days before heading north via Gawler to the Barossa in preparation for the On your Bike series, whilst basing ourselves at a gorgeous cottage in Waikerie. We continued on to Renmark for a night before the long trek south to Millicent.
Some of the many highlights along the way were Gawler Fort Knox, Dustin’s Cache, Barossa High and Riverland (the oldest surviving geocache in South Australia).
At the Mega we caught up with a few of our caching friends, made some new ones, and of course missed many who could not make it this time. The weather was not the best in Millicent, and a COVID19 situation in Mt Gambier altered our plans but we had plenty of caches to keep us busy between showers, including tree climbs, plenty of adventure labs, and the entertaining Finding a Fish series - giving the new pole a good workout for the first time.
Thanks Team Piggy

Today we drove back North to the airport to get our flight home and just had to grab the last few caches on the way, pulling in mainly old caches on our travels. Thanks for having us SA, till next time.
Even with the numbers being down it was great to attend a Mega and at least get to meet some fellow cachers after so long and catch up with a few people, we flew over from Tassie on Thursday and after spending a few days in Adelaide we headed Northeast to clean up some series and then head South to Millicent for the start of the Mega long weekend.
This trip has changed so many times since it was first booked and I'm glad we got to do it at long last, to start with it was just myself and GooseandEgg nipping over for the Mega and then it was a few more days with the addition of 1 toolman, then with lockdown it was back to two of us but then another Tassie cacher in the shape of BudgieTas stepped up to the plate and we were back on for an over a week trip to grab a few caches before the Mega and then finish off with Millicent before flying home on the Tuesday.
Thanks for the cache.

Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I had a general plan to head towards Murray Bridge, and do some walks and hiking in one of the many parks in the vicinity. It turned out that there were a few FTFs still available, and so we called past the Monarto area first to find those, before walking through the Monarto Woodlands. We then made a long detour drive past a couple of oldie caches, and called into Murray Bridge for an enjoyable bakery lunch. We then spent the afternoon around the foreshore of Murray Bridge, and completed the new *Port Mobilong* Adventure Lab in the area. A final drive to across the Murray to Riverglades, Avoca Dell, and Murray Bridge East to check out a few new areas, and then returning home in the late afternoon. An enjoyable day with only a few minor showers, but otherwise not too bad.
Whilst we were in the area, I noticed that this older vintage cache was nearby, and was consequently on my target list for finding. We parked pretty much at GZ, and started looking around the bushes and natural debris. It still took us a good five minutes of searching, before I spotted the container, which was now only small sized, not regular as per this geocache's description. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Team Piggy for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 11/2001 hidden cache.

Today I had a grand plan for caching. Then I woke up with a hangover, for the third Sunday in a row I was feeling seedy due to consuming too much alcohol. This impeded the grand plan. So a new plan was put into place 50 caches became 20 caches.
My first one of the morning was a dnf, not good and 20kms out of the way.
Rest of the day panned out well and a fun day was had, I particularly enjoyed shooting CP with a cannon and also finding a cache hidden in 2001. Plus another 2 caches towards my Freddo tally, slowly making my way to 400 froggy finds.
Couldn't resist stopping for this golden oldie, not too many left from 2001 so glad to pick up another. Have been targeting older caches lately for a challenge I am trying to complete, still a long way to go.

Was heading back to Adelaide after working in the area and it was lunchtime and so decided to find a cache or two. Saw this on the map and decided to deour in and make the find. Parked near GZ and quickly identified the hide. Hopped out of the car, left the engine running, quickly located the cache, signed the log and replaced it in its hide. On the way back to the car spotted the Blue Pole. Nothing arty about that blu pole.

Despite recently completing my Jasmer grid by going to the USA, I do love finding an old 2001 cache, yay! A quick one early in the morning and then we were off to the next.
What a fabulous day out...so fabulous that we stamped 98% of the logs as "Fabulous Randoms" (the others we wrote our names).
We completed 3 OTD series, picked up the tribute series to the US iconic trails (ET Highway & Route 66) and stopped to find a number of other random caches including ones with high fav points or interesting D/Ts. Over 160 finds - it was worth the 5am start (to try and beat the heat).

A decision about a day of caching with Goodlook was orgained in the not so distant past to clean up some caches around swan reach and murray bridge.
A successful with no DNF’s and 165 caches finds, completing 3 on this date (OTD) series and some of the fruit loop with a few trads along the way.
Majority if the log books were stamped with FABULOUS RAMDOMS and 5 or 6 we wrote our individual caching names in.

Today we tackled 3 more OTD series that took us through the country side, up and down the gravel roads and through a few small towns for morning tea and lunch. The puzzles were worked out the night before and the day was planned around the 3 OTD series from Murray Bridge and back again, as well as picking up a few other caches along the way.

Pprime, Crew 153, and I were visiting South Australia with a primary target of getting some old-timey caches.
Pprime navigated me through all these roads before we finally pulled up at this one. Oh there is a track. We stuck our nose in. Not a problem for our ASX today (I do note the cache owner put the warning about the condition of the track nearly 16 years ago - so I will cut them some slack )
We parked up and headed toward GZ. Mr Pprime soon made the find. We signed the log and re-hid the cache as found. Another oldie crossed off the list. TFTC Team Piggy

Pprime (P'), Fangsoki and I had planned a long weekend assault on South Australia caches. We were targeting old, rare, unique and interesting caches.
We were on day 4 which would take us from Adelaide to the Victoria Border and back for Pprime and Fangsoki to catch their flight home We were chasing 10 finds for the day.
This cache was on our hit list because of its age.
Yep! It is blu. We took a lot of dirt roads to zig and zag through the country from the previous find and had a quick find here.

This was find 45 of 54 finds for the weekend.
We were on day 4 which would take us from Adelaide to the Victoria Border and back for Pprime and Fangsoki to catch their flight home We were chasing 10 finds for the day.
This cache was on our hit list because of its age.

Three Mad Queenslanders (Fangsoki, Crew153 and I) have arrived in Adelaide for a long weekend chasing old caches. This is day four, last day, and we are heading East today. Picked our way along YADRs (yet another dirt road) from another nearby oldie and pulled up at the afore mentioned post and made a quick find. Time for a new coffee I think.
Thanks for placing this cache, Team Piggy. Found in good condition.

TFTC,
Heading along the Murray and collecting caches as we go.
Having completed our time at ACT, Snowy's, Dandenong, National Riley Rally on Philip Island, a quick stop near Geelong, some of the Grampians and the area around Robe it's time to head towards the Murray River and share the beginning of a 50th celebration with a friend.
After that it will be the Red Center Experience GC6825Z before returning home with skibum1 from America via Broken Hill, Lightning Ridge, Killcoy and Armidale.
Visited a group of trackables that will be left at the Alice Springs Event .
