Logs
This area of bush needs time to regrow. Time to say goodbye to this one, who knows, another may replace it later.
Off line until it can be looked at. It appears from the last logs that the protective burning undertaken by the City has destroyed the cache.
Went to find this a week ago and had no luck. It's very possible that I didn't look hard enough as I was being 'attacked' by the many ants looking for new homes due to the recent fire, or its been destroyed by the burn off that went through the area. Will keep an eye on this cache and if someone else manages to find it; I'll try again.
Came down hoping for a quick find as we got close noticed a bit of bush had been burnt not long ago went in for a look and found were I think it was but no container just a few things that normally get left in them
It was about this point in me visit to Albany that I had an epiphany
Why was I in Albany for a whole week ??
I have visited Albany twice before in 1980 and 2000.
But this visit was different [:o]
I wasn't here just to follow the tourist trail !!
Rather than a couple of days driving around the predictably boring tourist spots,
this visit was different [:o]
Yep !! I had geocaching on me side [^]
So while the Grey Nomads, the Backpackers, and various day trippers from Perth or fly-ins from elsewhere perused the advertised tourista spots ...
... I was riding me bike around spots like this
*High on a hill with a lonely goat herd !!
Yodellyahhia, yodellazhia, yodellahi, Ho !!*
And here, after a bit of bike ride through the sandy soil,
I found a cache
Dunno who built the 'tee-pee' nearby, but they were probably not kids !! [:o]
TFTC and detour off the tourist trail [^]

Quick find on this overcast Australia Day 2016. Happy Aussie Day everyone!! TFTH!!
Almost dnf because my mum and friend got scared of a huntsman and wanted to leave
Out for a morning run and took the usual hard way in easy way out, nice little structure nearby built by local kids. Easy find once at GZ.

Couldn't find anything but we searched at 9am, there is a makeshift hut extremely close but
Enjoyed the walk out to this one. Nice bit of bushland. Interesting to see the nearby structure, but fortunately, nobody around. Thanks for the smiley Coastn Along
Thanks for the cache. I would never have explored this area if it hadn't been for the lure of a cache. I hope I can find my way out!
What a nice tranquil walk - how would you know about it without Geocaching. Thank you - cool Teepee.
TFTC! Found whilst on a morning caching run to help fill my calendar. Thanks for the hide.
While visiting my daughter and family in Albany I took some time out to check out this closest one to their house. I took the bike, but it really did not prove to be such a good idea due to the very soft surface. So many tracks to choose from but finally got to GZ. Nice easy find.
Thanks for the cache Coast'n Along

This was our 1st cache find in a caching run of 8 Finds & 0 DNFs today.
We found it at 09:04 so this now makes our total find count 8055.

Oh boy did we have a battle with the GPS to get to this one. The device either wanted to take us through the council car park or miles out of our way.
When we finally got there, we found that someone has built a crude shelter very close to GZ.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape, but the listed trackables "Doodie Duty" and "GeoKid-volKayno" are not in the cache.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks Coast'n Along for the hunt today.

We live so close and yet haven't walked through this beautiful bush land before, will definitely make this a regular stroll, the cache was well hidden, but not hard to find, the kids found it in the end.
I found this one with my Mum & Dad (jasenjanine), while on our Christmas holidays . I liked the lean-to nearby ... TFTC Coast'n Along
A really nice piece of bushland for a cache here, and we found it all safe'n'sound beside a manmade lean-to . It would have been also nice if they had taken their rubbish with them when they left
The container had a bit of moisture inside, but the log was easily signed ... TFTC Coast'n' Along

It was a bit damp inside. Actually water lying in the bottom. Nothing was in a bag. I think maybe the lid was not on properly : (
But, what a gem of a location. Fantastic woodlands in the city. Fight to keep them Albanians!

Out and about on yet another day of geocaching in Albany. Life is soooo hard sometimes. We parked around 350 metres away and took a stroll with our geo-jack russell who really enjoyed all the difference fragrances this far south of home.
thanks
thanks
Last find in Albany before flying out to Perth and eventually home to Melbourne. Albany is a beautiful place and I hope to return and spend a bit longer one day. Thanks.
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
Owner has been away and is now back in town. Cache should be in place and available in one or two weeks.
Cache owner is currently away from Albany until early August. New cache will be in place shortly after owner returns to Albany.
Wet wet wet. Needs a new outer. And needs a new plastic bag. Placed in doodie trackable.
Wet wet wet. All items inside are wet ruined and rusty.
Needs a complete overhaul.

Found it about a month ago but forgot to log it. Thanks for a lovely walk. Yes, hopefully it doesn't get developed.
Nozzles , took 3 leaf clover , we need more luck in finding cache, left a golf ball.
A nice find after a short walk on a lovely day. The notebook and some of the items inside are a bit soggy and might need maintenance. TFTC. Cheers Bloffy13
Wow, a really lovely piece of bush. Would have had no other reason to go there. Full of wildflower. I share the sentiment about it not being developed
Thanks
