Another cache hunt on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-tour. We have enjoyed our time in SA, but it is time to slowly make our way back West again.

One of three Farmer Owen caches collected after a FTF chase in Owen itself. I had collected “horse” on a previous pass through. Great way of getting kids to take a bit more notice of agriculture I hope. Thanks for the cache and series Moses on the move.
Hard to get to the actual GZ of this one, but there are TOTTS at hand.

Was able to access this one without too much effort thanks to a strategically shaped and placed stick. Thanks to previous finders and CO.
With Di facing another round of treatment we decided to go for a drive and see the canola flowering.
We found many paddocks of yellow and a few caches as well.

This one took a while to get low and under. Found and was in great condition. Thanks for the cache Moses on the move. A successful day of caching in hot conditions.
While staying at Owen we went for a drive with goingplaces2 and checked out some more caches along the way. Cache was found, log was signed, all was replaced as found. Job done! TFTC.
Spent quite some time enjoying a country drive with ilook4geo and picking up some of the caches around the district while staying at Owen. There were no problems in locating the hides and we were soon on our way again after doing the signing duties. Thanks for this hide go to Moses on the move.
A quick and easy find but don't forget to take a pen or you will have walk back again like I did.
slowly clearing this series out. quick find.
found with Mogni. Headed out in the general direction of clare and planned to clean out clare before the June Long Weekend End Event in 2022. As usual there was ALOT of caches found before then and only a couple of caches where found in clare before staying in Farrel Flat for the night. The next day was cleaning out Burra and slowly making our way home. Damn doing multi's takes so long, since the final has a habit of not being in the direction you are planning to go next. All caches that where found that were brittle or damaged were replaced and logs found wet where replaced, except for nano's. Nano's are evil spawn and you can do your own maintanence on them.

It was school holidays and I needed a break from school and chores and needed to just have some fun. I talked sir_spectre into joining me for a weekend away caching near Clare and Burra. We avoided the big towns and focused on the caches we normally drive past on the way to somewhere else. Any caches that needed some attention got it.
Thanks to Moses on the move from mogni

Found. The cache has fallen apart due to Sunshine damage and the log is wet
I covered the cache to protect it a little. Tftc

Nearly didn’t see it! thank you Moses! A farmer just checked to see if I was okay. Farmer Owen, maybe??
Glad to have completed all of the Farmer Owen series and discovered the bounty of this great community.
Found this one in perfect condition not sure what previous finder found their name is not in the book in the cache. There is a broken bucket nearby perhaps it was that.
See attached images. Thinking you can remove the NM as this one is perfect with a nice dry log book.
TFTC found on a country caching run aiming to get to 8000 today.

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Moving day today from Tanunda to Point Turton. Nice and sunny, possibly one of the best days we have seen here. Still a strong head wind most of the day though.
Stopped for a few caches to break the drive. With a DNF here previously we were glad to convert the sad face to a happy face today.

Thought we'd grab a few on our way back to Adelaide from Kapunda, but this was one of only three we managed. Nice location and soon enough in hand. With CacheClosed1847. TFTC #404.
Find # 6175
Day 5
With the big trail finished we headed north to Moonta so I could grab the Virtual. From there our plans were to hit the Letterbox series and to grab some others around the traps while heading to Tarlee. With only 66 grabs today it felt more like holiday time with some great caches mixed in.
Found with sharkiefan
A Big week was planned to travel around South Australia, staying in Minlaton, Tarlee and Adelaide. We cache along a number of Trails, managed to grab a few off the beaten track, some well known caches and the odd one that
came up on the map as we were travelling around.
It ended up being a massive week of 2960 odd kilometers travelled, with day find counts of 25, 256, 361, 318, 66, 205, 104 and 76 (yep thats 1411 for the 8 days)
1062 micro, 238 small, 60 Regular, 45 large, 3 Virtual and 3 Other.

Farmer Owen gets around!
Found with FUF009.
Today we left the Peninsula and headed to Tarlee.
We visited many small towns along the way and the change of scenery was refreshing.
Initially the plan today was to finish off the Gone Fishn' series but we did that yesterday, so the plans opened up to branch out to Moonta so FUF009 could nab the virtual (I had already done it).
The only real goal was the Mail Run Letterbox series and the A seat for Janet virtual.
All the other caches were lovely to be able to find in our leisure.
Today was my favorite day so far. 65 caches found and nice to be able to take the side roads and dirt tracks.
South Australia is pretty neat!

A trip up north with a Rat and a Starfish collecting a few new caches and many others that we had yet to get.
With a couple of previous attempts at GZ with no luck a return today with a previous finder. Glad he was with us as there would have been no way to claim a find as the cache was some 15 or so meters away from GZ. Whether this has suffered cache creep we do not know but it was sitting on the ground and obvious if you knew what was there and what one was seeking. TFTC

It was Anymules Birthday and he wanted to go and find 'his' OTD birthday cache. If you are going to do one OTD you may as well do the series. So I invited myself along for the ride and met up with the birthday boy in Balaklava for a fun day of caching and chocolate cake.[8)] Once that was done it was time to leave Anymules and head home. Off course I made a few more stops. [:o)]
I think this one may have moved! I didn't find it at GZ but then did find it 16 metres closer to the road on my way out from where the GPS had taken me. A find is a find!
**Thanks Moses on the move for this cache. **

There were olives, but the cache proved elusive. Despite calling in a prior finder as reinforcement, it was looking like a DNF when jedika spotted something cachey.
I am heading to Jordan and Qatar as part of a university trip in a few weeks, and I decided that as I am approaching 500 caches (not really but after today, I am), it would be a nice idea to get my 500th cache in either Jordan or Qatar. I informed Doctor Owl of this vague plan last week when we caught up to do maintenance last week, and she concluded that I absolutely must fulfil this plan. The problem was that by the end of our maintenance run (and caching along the way) last week, I was on 397 caches. 102 caches of the 499 needed to ensure I could get my 500th while overseas. Therefore, Doctor Owl decided that in order to get my numbers up some powertrials were needed. So we headed up north with SASewerRats, collecting caches that some or all (mainly me though) hadn't done. I ended up getting 78 caches and having a great day.
Doctor Owl and I searched for a bit to no avail and then called in SASewerRats, who had previously found this cache, and we still couldn't find it. We were about to give up when I noticed a suspicious pile of bark and something white. TFTC.

We managed to miss the nearby dirt road.
So I hiked it back to gz & found the nearby olive grove.
The soursobs made it tricky, but the coordinates lead me to the cache.
Thanks for hide Moses on the move

Rats, I was heading over to Tanunda and was going to stop for this one but forgot to load it into the Geomobile GPS so before i knew it I had zipped on by. Oh well I will get this one next time.
TFTC We are out and about with Peerages from the NT Caching the area. Took a coin left Peppa peg.
Well hidden. Found while geo travelling with Pegasus46. Took Bertie beetle and left pepper pig TFTC SL
Decided to get out and do some more caches even if it was raining, didn't let this stop me from getting quite a few done today.
TFTC another good find on this hubby's birthday. Thanks again, love this series!
I didn't expect to find this one as easily as I did after reading the description but the container was quickly in hand very close to the co-ords given.

A lovely day to go caching so we decided to shake the NSW/Qld dust out of the geo-bag and find some good old "Croweater" caches A good day with 38 smileys. The only frustration was the merry-go-round called the GPS, but it did not bet us!.
Wonder if olives will ever be declared a weed?

After a day inspecting potential entertainment venues on the YP,
couldn't drive home without finding a few caches....
so took the "scenic" route (mostly in the dark!)
A quick deviation from the road home had Farmer Brown logged
