A little detour off our road trip from MacKay marina. The views are nice. The cache is wet. Emptied it, but still wet.
Found but full of water. Tried to sign. Emptied it out. Photo. If this is where you want to keep it, you need something waterproof. Lovely views
with good hint and coords made it a quick find signed at 12.38pm ,as "The Bebes" reported cache was not in good shape ,log book a muddy mess cleaned it out and dried it while i had a snack.. discarded log book and the other wrecked items put remainder in ziplock bag ,added a couple more log sheets to the one The Bebes left put in another bag and back in container..ps the cache needs to be left vertical a lot of water passes by at times ,cheers and TFTC
Ocw the Bebes exploring Leap and surrounds. Great views from up here. Found quickly. Log book is soaking wet so placed a new piece of paper in cache. Might be good for some maintenance. Tftc

Staying nearby for a few days we de used to go for a drive and a few caches.
The unloved days on this one made it a must.
Great views from up here !
Log book is a muddy mush I’m afraid, we added a fresh sheet of paper.

Inevitably on a long trip when many geocaches are being found, some get missed. Unfortunately, at the time, this was one of them. So, although out of chronological order, I am logging them today for simplicity. So my apologies for the generic log and the out of date sequence.
Our trip commenced on Friday November 28th and concluded on Tuesday December 22nd. During that time, we visited caches in Maryborough, Childers, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Sarina, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville and Cairns, with other places in between like Proserpine, Home Hill, Ayr, Ingham to name just a few, with many wonderful single stop caches along the way.
Our party consisted of myself, hatzofff, grannysmith1947, and on occasion, youngoldfella.
Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC, TeamFraser.

Maintenance has been done. I was in the area and saw this one needed help. Have put in a new container to try and match the old Gatorade one. Could only find a cylinder one but it’s of good size. Have put right where my co-ords pointed to. So it’s right in the corner guarded by some rocks
Sorry, this cache has been damaged severely and we removed the bits laying out on the grass.
Found by Mary and David at 17:05. Quite a detour off the highway, but well worth it for the magnificent views in almost every direction. Cache snug and dry. A FP for the panorama. Our thanks to TeamFraser.
Did the subdivision surveying work on this.
The clearing dozer would slide in to the bottom of the gully then spend forever tracking up the public road just to do it again! Nice trip down memory lane. TFTC!

We've been meaning to scratch this one for some time but today we felt like going for a drive for a quick park and grab so to speak. Always a pleasure being up here and the view continues to be breathtaking every time we come here (which is not often). A quick scout and the cache was found easily enough. The contents were quite damp and the inside of the container was very dirty. The cache also contained a male anti-reproduction item if you know what I mean. It has been disposed of. Anyway, we cleaned up the container a bit and put it back. Thanks for the chance to visit, love the view and the cache, thanks for bringing us here. TFTC. TNLN. SL.
Tftc a surprising find! This little park is terrific, we hope it gets used by the local children. We found our smile & took some photos of the Mackay landscape! Log in good order!
Our last stop on a day of geocaching with my vacation care group. The bus did not like the hill but cache and view was well worth the trip. TFTC

We would not have even known about let alone visit this area if it hadn't been for a cache being here. There is a lovely view looking over the cane fields etc.
It's a nice little place for the kids to play and was a quick find.

Good hide, GPS was off a little and had me looking in the wrong spot but once I realised I would've been too far off I found it.
On our way to Eungella National Park, bineundyves, Regina32 and me found nice caches. TFTC
On the way from Airlie Beach to Eungella Nationalpark we made some stops to search for some geocaches.

Found this one while on a drive out to Mackay from our campsite at Cape Hillsborough national park. What a fantastic spot - would definitely not mind living here. Great views and lots of interesting things to look at. Just as well we didn't try and tow the caravan out here though. TFTC
What a surprise. What a great park I will bring the kids next time we are in Mackay thanks for bringing me here.
I had no idea this park was here! This is the best part of geocaching, finding this little hidden treasures. We enjoyed the view, kids enjoyed the park, we all enjoyed the cache!
Have ran up this hill a few times and never noticed this playground! We'll definitely come back here for a picnic. Kids happy to have a play. TFTC
