Making our way towards home over the next few weeks travelling with 2 dogs and a cat we have found caching a great way to give the fur babies a break. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining.
In the area for work so took a muggle friend who happened to find this first! TFTC
On a day drive to Coffin Bay. Seen lot's of videos of the area. Good to be here in real life. Highlight of the day was seeing 4 emus walking around the main Street in town.

Down in Lincoln to celebrate an amazing 20yrs as Mr and Mrs DeltaDuck. In between reservations for lunch and tea there was time to find a few local goecaches. Had lunch planned in Coffin Bay so ventured out this way. A nice quick find and an interesting cache container . TFTC

The caching continued today with ilook4geo and this was one of the caches on the list that we found. The log was signed with both names and replaced as it had been found.
We much prefer country driving so we tend to not bother with caches located in suburbia. Some of the ones we had on the list for today we simply drove by, as they were located in very public and exposed sites.
Thank you to wheres wolly for placing this cache.

Went caching around Port Lincoln with goingplaces2 to add some more smileys to the map. Found a collection for the day, signed each one and then they were put back. TFTC.
Heading west to Coffin Bay and caching along the way .
For some unknown reason, this took as awhile to locate - maybe we weren't looking from the right direction [?].

During our new years break, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula to travel around the various coastal towns. We started the trip with Jeep trouble, but then continued in our alternative vehicle without 4WD to stick to the main tourist roads where possible. We travelled south-west to Tumby Bay and Port Lincoln via Whyalla, Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay; west across to Coffin Bay; and then north-west to Streaky Bay and Ceduna via Elliston, and Venus Bay. We then headed back east staying in Kimba via Poochera, Wudinna, Lock, and Darke Peak.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I spent the day around Port Lincoln. We spent the morning seeing the town and marina, and then headed south travelling past Port Lincoln National Park to check out Whalers Way. It was still a little cold and nippy with the wind about, but otherwise a sunny day.
We parked at the main road, and jogged up the small cliff towards GZ (rather than taking the side street). It took a while to find this one, needing the right view angle to find. The cache was suitably themed, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks wheres wolly for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Found on my 2 week round Eyre Peninsula caching odyssey. Enjoyed travelling from place to place during the covid-19 era as our state is virtually corona free. Thanks wheres wolly.
Drenched inside
After having car issues over the weekend it prolonged my stay here and with Davidwazza returning home this morning I decided to head out and clean up the remains I had left in the area. A half day out and nothing but blue faces left on my map with the rest being turned into finds. Another day of 35finds

Thought I could smell pigs when I got out of the car. Must be a piggery somewhere nearby! TFTC
From Port Lincoln we drove on to Elliston today. Wow! There it has quite great beaches and many beautiful coastal sections. In many of these places we were also able to find a geocache. Thank you to the owners for the caches !
Found It!
This one took a bit of searching but eventually I found it. Was a little buried in pine needles.

Exploring the country side around Port Lincoln as part of our 4 day visit to the city. Lots of interesting roads to travel, views to see and caches to find. Thanks to the COs who have placed them for our enjoyment.
Great little cache in a good location. We searched for a bit and there it was, sitting in its own little patch just waiting patiently for the next person to come and admire it. TFTC.....it was a fun one!!
Once again we are touring Australia and caching as we go!
As we were driving around Pt Lincoln we must have taken a wrong turn. We found ourselves leaving town, well that's not what we wanted to do. We choose this spot to turn around. Happened to look at the gps and lo and behold a cache right here! What a stroke of luck.
Thanks for the great placement wheres wolly!
Cheers from Canada!

Discovering Port Lincoln cache by cache with Purrfect Di, Sebastbat, and Jack.
Many and varied caches were found and this was one. Some are in good condition, some a little rusty.
A good time had by all. Your piggy leaks water, a little moist inside.

CPwanderer, GoodLook and I headed off for a weekend in Port Lincoln via an overnight stop in Whyalla
Our weekend was unexpectedly extended by a day due to illness and so my tally at the end of the 'weekend' was 168 cache finds
Sadly this was marred by a massive 28 DNFs
Port Lincoln, despite being virgin caching territory for all 3 of us, did not provide us with the pleasure that we had anticipated
So many of the caches were bison tubes and those that we did find, quite often were in places where a larger cache could have been hidden The other issue was the lack of maintenance on many caches
There are people trying their best to maintain the 'wheres wolly' cache hides however their resources are stretched thinly..... so if you are heading over, please pack heaps of cache maintenance containers, bags and log books and help out where you can. [^]
That being said, the trip was still a blast and some great caches were found and great views were seen!
Roaming Wendy very kindly came out with us for the rest of today and as a result, our find count increased as did the laughter in the car
Thank you for your company [^]
I've got a cache that has similar camo back home
Makes me smile when I remember running through the pigstyes on my grandparents' farm one day and having my rubber boot pull off of my foot in the lowest corner of the styes!
Ooh yuck!

Cute!!!! Found as the sun was setting!!
This was one of the caches found on a three day odyssey on the Eyre Peninsula! Myself, GoodLook and locuscache had never cached south of the Cowell/Cleve area so we had high hopes of some great caching. We worked our way down through Port Neil and Tumby Bay and grabbed those along the highway plus a few a little further afield.
Our time in and around Port Lincoln was frustrating. Lots very small micros, lots of very rusty tins and more dnfs than ive ever had in a day before this. We were very fortunate that local cacher , Roaming Wendy joined as. Her expert knowledge of the town certainly helped. A medical issue had us stay a third day. This worked out very well as we could do some relaxed caching on our way home.
A special thanks to Roaming wendy for her help and to those who hid caches in the area … particularly the Geo-Ambos, Wheres Wolly and Viper231. Special thanks also to my “mildly obsessive” caching buddies on this trip …………………………… amazing fun!!

Woo hoo, we found it!
After messaging Roaming Wendy, she graciously joined us and jumped in our car in order to cache around Lincoln with us (as we'd not been having much fun with all of the DNFs).
Found whilst on a road trip with CPwanderer and Locus Cache, with the aim of the weekend to cache in and around Port Lincoln - fresh territory for us all. We certainly had a great time, however with a DNF rate of about 40% [:(!], it was tough going! We did however thoroughly enjoy the beautiful locations and scenery.
After joking all day on the Sunday we should spend another night in Pt Lincoln, circumstances presented that meant we needed to extend our time away! We took it slowly on the way home which enabled us to once again visit some terrific places
Thanks for the cache

Very cute. Brings back many child hood memories of building houses out of straw. I owe a cache in the Adelaide Hills that is also near where children like to play. Thanks so much for this one
TFTC.14.45. From Perth to Melbourne is our last vacation journey in Australia, along this route, we look for caches. Greetings from the Netherlands
Day eleven of my holidays, just caching around the outskirts of Point Lincoln. There were some wins and some losses, but generally wins. The wins were generally easy, and the losses, well, too hard for me to find. One more win for me.
My thanks to wheres wolly for the cache.

I abandoned the geomobile down at the end of the road and took a stroll past the pines to reach the corner
Between the passing cars I could hear the wind whispering to me where the cache was hidden.
It wasn't long before I had me snout in the caching trough again

Mr Beetle would have loved this container as he has a fascination with these creatures. Unfortunately he stayed in the van and continued up the road to turn it around while I made the find.
After some de-snouting the log was signed and the cache returned.
Didn't hear any oinking but the nearby cows were soon mooing at our presence. Thanks.
