Had a good look too and came up empty handed. Thanks for bringing us here. Cool little village
What a gorgeous collection of old buildings. Thank you for bringing us here. I think you might need to do some maintenance, as a new log is needed here. TFTC
I love history, and this little spot was well worth stopping at.
Day 2: Whilst on a road trip from Adelaide to Heathcote, today's task was to complete the Dad's Mt. Disappointment Driving Lessons power trail, reach my 1000th caching milestone with friends and round off the day by attending a dinner event where we were staying. It was an early start but we found heaps of caches, ate wholesome and delicious food, drank some amazing wine, engaged in scintillating conversations - there was plenty of laughter and lots of fun!! [^]
PLEASE NOTE: given the size of our group and our time constraints, in some logs we just put our caching initials (eg. GL).
Thanks for the cache

The purpose of this weekend's mission across the border was for a driving lesson on Mt Difficult with dad and today was the day [^]
The group rose early, made our way first to the oldest cache in Vic. and gathered a few more smileys in the area before gathering at cache number 1 of this fun series, and off for a very pretty drive inthe forest.
Definately a rewarding way to spend a day
Cheers and thanks for this find

A long weekend, what does that mean? Well GEOCACHING of course
Plans were in place to get out this long weekend with one party of the FurfacesLL and head towards Albury. We had organised a weekend of caching with Coruze which included puzzle collections (Albury/Wodonga) and power trail targeting (Mt Disappointment) and what ever little town we can invade along the way.
Alot happened this weekend, lots of caches, lots of laughter, many km's, long days and long nights. We all walked away battered and bruised after this weekend but it was worth it and would do it again in a heart beat lol
We had finished the powertrail on Mt Disappointment, checked into the Motel in Broadford, we were all battered and bruised but we decided to kick on for a little longer. We went and had some dinner and continued our night a little more. Cool location with some interesting history. Cache located quickly signed and replaced.
Thanks broadfordscouts for the placement of this cache[^]

Found It.....We where passing through here on the way home from cleaning up the Mount Difficult driving trail and needed a icecream to celebrate so after stopping and getting one we looked at the map and there was one in walking distance (Not that i needed to walk anymore) we strolled down and a short search soon had us signing the log. Thanks broadfordscouts for bringing us here
First ones in Broadford for this trip. TFTC. Angus the great GeoWestie assisted by grey nomad carer Lis Brown on a journey from Shepparton Vic to Geelong Vic then Coolah and Port Stephens in NSW and back to Shepparton before going to Tasmania.
Found with Wozzle68 on our way home from an awesome weekend away at the Buller Getaway event. A nice excuse to stop and stretch the legs and appreciate a bit of history at the same time. TFTC broadfordscouts.
Find number 92 for the day. Enjoyed a very interesting walk around these cabins, reading a bit of history, and even got to find a cache here as well - doesn't get any better! Thanks broadfordscouts for placing this neat little hide.
Broadford was our last stop for the day, and while everyone was having a stretch of their legs Happy pants and I wandered over to grab the hide. I feel like we've been here before, but didn't find anything. Thanks for bringing us back and for the hide.
Managed a nice quick find this afternoon after taking a break across the road. The cache was soon located after a brief search, thanks broadfordscouts for the hide and for highlighting this area.
Sorry for late log. My Parents lived in this town a very long time ago, so today was an exploration day. TFTC
Sando joined me in Wandong for a few hours and we decided to do a handful of caches. 8 finds would have us at 950, very close to cracking the 1000, so it was hoped we'd do 8. Given that poor JSando has worked in the sun all day down the peninsula, then gone to Airport West for night school, I was super surprised he came up tonight and almost checked his temperature when he agreed we'd go caching lol
After trying one up the road that'd been muggled we headed down here. I lived in Broadford 20+ years ago and at the time my Uncle was running the pub so I spent a lot of my misspent early 20's across the road from this cache lol. Quick find. Our fifth for the night. TFTC

Right in the middle of town but enough cover for a quick find. 4th find for the day. With myshell22. TFTC.
I had the day off so with the good weather I decided to plan a road trip out to find Melbourne's First cache and pick up as many others as I could along the way.
After making the historical find I headed into Broadford on my way back to look for the range of caches hidden there as well. I had to wait out a couple who had just decided to park nearby here. Once they were otherwise engaged I was able to quickly duck in and grab the cache. Interesting old buildings at GZ, thanks for the cache broadfordscouts.

I have decided to start the long quest of doing a second round of the P81 difficulty terrain grid so I went for a drive to get a specific D1/T4 cache up the hume highway to Broadford then meandered my way back home stopping off for a few on the way home.
I arrived and there was one car here but luckily no one in it so I parked right nearby and with nice accurate coordinates I peeked under and spotted it, made the grab, signed the log and headed off.
Thanks broadfordscouts for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

On the way to the airport after finding Melbourne's 1st we stopped at Broadford for a bite to eat. This one wasn't too far away so I was given a leave pass to go and make the grab.
As I arrived at GZ I had a quick find thanks to the hint. The nearby muggle having some lunch in his truck under a tree was none the wiser.
broadfordscouts I found your cache at 12:45pm, this was the 3rd of 4 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 2482. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Find #6 of 40 on my Mega Melbourne week - not a big total, but it turned out to be a fun & sociable time. After a couple of days walking in Albury I left late morning to drive on to Kilmore. This cache was found at 3:45:00 PM. I think the cache may have shrunk over time as it would be a squeeze to fit in too many scout badges.
TFTC broadfordscouts - great to have some caches close to the road to break my journey & stop me falling asleep!

Another nice easy find in an interesting area. The cache has been hidden a bit more than what it was (it was quite exposed). Tftc

Out today enjoying the outskirts of Melbourne. Stopped in for lunch at the Broadford Hotel, and as we had just reached our range of caches uploaded to my GPS, I thought I would pull out my phone and see if there were any caches close, which there was. After lunch we crossed the road but the compass on the phone app was all over the place. Luckily the hint was pretty specific and it was not long before the cache was in hand.
Thanks for the cache broadfordscouts.

After visiting the Organ Pipes National Park today, we were wondering what to do with the rest of the day. We originally were going to have some lunch elsewhere but missed the turn and we are glad we did. We had never been to Broadford before and there was an Easter event on. The Na'wal kiddies had fun at the event, we had some Easter eggs and a great coffee. We searched for this one before the event and after the GPSr settled, I saw the likely spot. Loved the buildings here. Stamped and returned as found.

It was going to be a long day, especially as I'm ill and due to be catching a plane tomorrow, but the aim was to finish the day with the Oldest Geocache in Victoria under our belts, and it would be my 2000th Cache find.
Drive by this one, as I wanted to grab some on route to the make sure I hit 1999th cache before Melbourne's First.
Quick, Easy Find, signed and on we went to next one near park.

#10:45; Day 2 of the great Sol de lune, fitzy_1965 and LuckyL10n road trip from Canberra to Melbourne and return was off to an early start so we could gather the last of the information we needed for the two Great Aussie Icon Hunt multis, which had inspired this trip. The final pieces of information to hand, we collected a few caches around Bulla, then it was off home again along the Hume Highway.
We decided to take a detour into Broadford to collect a few of the local caches. The local CFA had our planned stop occupied, so we headed further up the hill to grab this one. The Iphone led me on a tour of the buildings before finally getting me to GZ for a quick find. Nice little spot and good to see some of the local history, a favorite I think! TFTC broadfordscouts
