Could not work out the final coordinates for this one maybe it was the windows that stumped me today as the other information was quite easy to work out. And hopefully I had the number of lights correct. Anyway, a definite DNF for me today.
That took us ages to find and I have scratches everywhere from searching. I was on my stomach crawling / wiggling back out from under a tree when I glimpsed something. Pleased to finally sign that logbook
What a pretty awful experience that was! Two of us on stomachs avoiding thorned trees, with nothing closer than 6m on the Garmin or phones, to help us. LW eventually saw a flash of colour, 12M out at GL. Would not want others to have this to cope with so have done an absolute spoiler, first time ever. If you find 2 glass jars you are there. Very happy to get this one found, our second try.
An interesting wee multi that showed me around Kirwee. Took a little fiddling to get the coords (I had multiple possible answers on a couple of waypoints) but I eventually got a set of coords that looked OK and passed the checksum.
Unfortunately the trees at GZ are very overgrown and I could gain access to find a cache (& saw nothing encouraging from the edges).
I hate ending a caching day on a DNF, but I was out of time and needed to get home.

This was a challenge. I did enjoy the walk along the irrigation between wp1 & wp2.
Onto the final WP I had some numbers but they didn’t look great.
Eventually I discovered that there was a checksum hiding in the hints. Not a place I would normally look until after I had the final coordinates sorted.
Excellent, my numbers agree and I now have a likely final. Ooh, this is ugly. Maybe I still have the numbers wrong. Who knows.
Unable to spot a Regular sized container on the ground or above gl where I was looking.

I have a day off today so I decided to go out and find some geocaches with Jude_E. We had spent a long time looking for and solving this cache a while ago. We stopped by and found it today.
Thanks for hiding this cache MollyChCh I appreciate it.

Did the ground work for this some time ago with Nosynel but we didn’t find the cache at the time. We did a loop on both sides of the Waimak today and this was our last cache for the day. Thanks, MollyChch.

Had arranged a big caching day out with Mr Cuddly Brick and this was the area we decided we wanted to head to.
A perfect day for caching. Not too hot and not too cold!
Cache was a quick find here after completing the rest of the Multi. Thanks for the cache

Day 3 in Christchurch for the long weekend with the crew from Dunedin and South land. On the list for the day of finds to find. Found with KJR, Natalie247, CJ-Curry.. TFTC
With no Mega in sight for the weekend, a bunch of Otago and Southland cachers invaded Christchurch this weekend. Today I cached with Gadget169, K.J.R, and natalie247 to blitz our way through a bunch of caches in and around western Christchurch. Apologies for the C&P logs but I'll never catch up otherwise!
Wanting to catch up with Hevic, we pressed on to Kirwee from the Fresh Breath series. By that point, however, she'd moved on to Darfield. Naturally, in a place I'd never been, what better to do than to pick up some caches! We picked this one up with not too many issues at all, though we did most of it by car rather than by foot. Cheers!

In Christchurch for the long weekend with some of the crew from Otago and Southland. Today was spent targeting the eclipse and smurf series with Gadget169, Natalie247 and CJ-Curry.
Quick stop here before lunch and soon had the numbers needed and then a nice quick find, eagerly retrieved again by CJ-Curry TFTC

In Christchurch for the Otago/Southland raid on Christchurch... as there is no Mega this labour weekend we decided to make our own mini Epic event. Jumped in a car with a few others from Dunedin (Gadget169, KJR and CJ-Curry) and tried to finish the Eclipse series today and also find all of the smurfs....but picked a few more on the way.
Thank you for the cache and laying on great weather.... well the wind meant we had to chase the bags and log paper down the road a few times.
We had a bit of a debate over the number of lights but after a tie breaker count we headed off to get the cache.

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

Enjoyed the stroll gathering the numbers. The cache was a quick find too. Nice to show this one some love as Kirweegirl was the last one to sign the log. TFTC.
Found on second attempt after rechecking our coordinates. Thanks for the cache.
Are you sure it's still out there? We hunted around. Will definitely have to have another go at this one.
Someone does not like trees - well at least not if a cache is placed under them. So had to replace the box (now 400ml Systema) and hope it is now in a better place.
I spent 1 to 2 hours looking for the way oints and trying to unsuccessfully get them to add up to the hint number. Then I PAffed some friends and worked out what I did wrong. On the way back from Darfield I searched for another 45 minutes. And came up empty handed. The good thing about it was the walk and the trip to Darfield Bakery for a yummy stuffed potato.
Loved having an explore around kirwee.. not as tricky as you first think. Maybe a nice one to do at Christmas. Tftc
Huge thanks to the CO for confirming the numbers I had correct and kicking me in the right direction for the others [^] Nice quick find this evening - it works out that we were not too far off to start with! Great to have this one ticked off TFTC!!
After a nice day, we decided to go for a walk in Kirwee One of my goals for this year is to find more multi's as I have been neglecting them, not only because the yellow icon gets lost in the smiley faces, but they require a lot more effort without the satisfaction of a puzzle solution They can get a bit frustrating, and a DNF feels like ten DNF's. On the other hand, following a trail of waypoints can be fun. This one seemed a good option for getting to know Kirwee, so off we went. However, disaster started at wp1. Do we count those, or those, or all of them?? Took down all numbers, just in case. Wp2 not too bad, I just hope we found the right word. WP3 - not sure what the 'main' building is, I got one number, but it could depend on the point of view I guess. I thought wp4 would be easy, but far from it. I saw a certain number immediately, then a couple more on the other side, and yet another one facing onto the field also... As a bonus, the info at wp5 was clear! I tried one set of numbers before realising that an offset needs to be applied. Quite a few combinations of the different numbers, being very complicated with the offset, as there was more involved than changing one number... I resorted to PAF, and got an approximate location, but we had no luck finding anything there Drove back home during an amazing sunset, but empty handed [xx(]
Our numbers took us to the general area but were way off were we found the container Good luck more than anything
Didn't have much luck with the final cords we had. We started looking in places we thought it would be and there it was. TFTC.
Out on a Mad Monday Mission with TG on this lovely Summers' evening. We decided to head out and collect some smurfs and grab what we can on the way.
We decided to stop by this one as it has been on the radar for ages and we both were apprehensive about doing this one due to the logs. We decided to bite the bullet and made the detour to find this one. We started off a bit confused until we realised posted was not WP1. Hmm great way to start the journey. We counted what we thought was the right item... WP2, 'yes, yep it has to be that'... WP3, 'do we count those ones?' WP4, 'that's easy it must be...' WP5, this was the only number we were 'sure' about. We made the coords made the adjustments... Hmm, doesn't look right. We tried up and down from 'final'. Nothing. We used a PAF and they assured us we were at least on the right road. We fossicked and guessed and came up this the goods. We decided after taking a reading we may have had two of the numbers correct!!! Oh well, we got there in the end.

A lovely summers evening for another Monday nights Mad Mission with TheWanglers. Heading out to round up the last of the smurfs and we thought we'd give this multi a bash......Given the logs it has never been high on my hit last of caches to attempt - there seems to be a bit of ambiguity with some of the waypoints....but we thought with 2 noggins we'd be in with a chance. Right; after realizing the listed co-ords weren't wp1 we headed over to the actual wp1. Great start! LOL. Counted what we thought & then drew a picture just in case we needed to revisit. WP2...ahah. No worries...hmm; could be this OR this (wrote them both down) WP3 Yep, WP4 hmm could be this, or this....WP5 Yes. No worries. OK; calculated the final...then the offset...put us in a likely spot & started searching. After filling our shoes and socks with half the worlds pointy grass seeds (and tweeking digits this way and that) we PAF...who shuffled us around and we then made the quick find and sign. We were in the right spot but not quiet! Must have missed the perfect combination of tweeks to get the right co-ord. Never mind. All good. On to some Smurfs. Cheers!
We started this multi over 5 years ago, shortly after publication but got into strife with counting at WPs. Had WP answers verified by CO, returned to GZ for sad DNF on July 2010. Forgot all about this cache until in the area today, saw we had final coords for this multi but GZ didn't look hopeful. Read the description, added further adjustments as per the instructions since 2014 & .... Found it !! Has been a long slow Kirwee Walk but so happy to claim a find - finally, five and a half years later ! [:o)]
Finally put this one to bed after some help from the CO. In the area today so good to finish. We recall enjoying the walk back when we started this one. Beaut day today on the way home from the mountains
This one has been on my to do list for a while and we finally made it today cache all safe and sound - made swaps TFTC
Enjoyed collecting the required info and exploring, but couldn't quite make sense of WP2. Found likely GZ but couldn't turn up the cache container. maybe another time.
Sorry to all cachers that could not find this cache after the spring storms. Did some maintenance today and realised that the original hiding spot has seen some heavy machinery go through. Unfortunately the cache is gone and has been replaced closed to the original location. Please see updated information how to correct your results.
Didn't find this one think it must have been in the trees that came down in high winds in October, will keep an eye on future logs maybe a bad day out, good luck to future finders
Had a nice stroll round a wee town we usually just drive through and saw some of the "important places" Kirwee has to offer on a lovely summers day. We think we got all the waypoints correct , but could not find the cache - kids dissapointed - but still a pleasant half hour spent in this place and bought drinks for them in the local Challenge station as a reward so supported the local economy!!
A lovely sunny day for a drive in the country. Been meaning to stop in Kirwee to do this for a while. Had a little trouble with one of the numbers, one didn't work but the other did! Thanks for the hide.
Second attempt at this one and still very confused. Couldn't get any final coordinates that looked likely.
I had started this one 3 months ago and made a couple of errors on which the CO put me right on. So I'm back down visiting rellies and to finish this one off. Very glad I now have the right numbers and the cache was soon in hand.
Cheers for the cache.
Had a bit of time to kill in Kirwee this morning so I thought I would go for a walk to see if I could find this one. No problems with the questions, and an interesting tour around some of the features of the town. On approaching GZ I surprised myself by finding the cache extremely quickly. Signed log, TFTC and for the tour!
Had a good look around after reading the latest notes but to no avail, couldnt find this or the next Multi we done
Checking our caches and couldn't find our own cache. OK, we found parts of the cache, only the logbook was left and the container gone.
Replaced the container, but it is hidden now more out of sight (please rehide well) and a larger container. Updated the listing as well.
Sorry for all caches who could not find it, we think there is a good reason....

Pretty sure we were in the right area even though we had 2 possible coords that we were checking close to each other. Dont know when we are coming through to ChCh again but would like a second try TFTC
Went to all the waypoints - not sure what went wrong, but we didn't find the cache.
A lovely quiet day in Kirwee, after a bit of tooing and frowing we managed to locate the final. Thanks for this one. 2x Trackables in.
Drove to all waypoints up to 4, then walked to 5 and onto what I thought was the final. It wasn't, turns out I had one number wrong, it looks like a lot of people have tripped up in the same way. So got back in the car and drove to my second attempt at the final. Was starting to lose faith when I got there but then I spotted something out of place that only a geocacher would notice. Bingo. TFTC (435)
We did the work for this cache over a year ago, but unfortunately fell for the subtle twist in the puzzle. With this error sorted out, it was a relatively quick find today. TFTC
- 1000 Finds Geocoin
- 1000 Finds Geocoin
Parked at WP1 and walked. Found all WPs ok, then couldn't find the cache. Checked my answers and realised my subtle error. The cache was then easily located. Left "1000 caches" GC. TFTC.
Our GPS kept sending us into the paddock too so must've had one number wrong, but, with a bit of diligent searching we spotted it. Hooray!! TFTC
Ended up with multiple options for gz. All of which were in the middle of a field. Checked most likely one but it wasn't right. Yet another multi failure for the day. Not doing too well today. Next time.......
Did this at night which made counting things a little challenging, but it all worked out. Cheers Gav [7993]
Had been twarted by the missing info previously, but had done the rest. Got the new bit and found the cache.
It was not our day for finding this cache today. At WP1 we were unable to see any information, just a fancy information stand with panels which have clearly had information in them previously, but are now empty, apart from a map. However, we were able to find the WP1 answer at WP5! WP4 also had us worried about deducing the location of the unmarked rugby field with no goalposts. We ended up with some coordinates but their location seemed unlikely to be correct.
All information at WP1 has been removed, so a temporary question is in place. Hope they replace all the very informative text and we will rephrase the question for WP1.
Sorry for any inconvenience if you downloaded the cache description.

Had a few discussions in the field forWP2 as there where two plaques and again when confronted with windows but can only blame ourselves for the WP5 error. Found the cache after correcting our own error. A nice day for a drive about as Jacob had fallen fast asleep.
Second multi this morning. Found with Old Boots and Rosie after a small hiccup over one of the clues.
Like many others made the WP5 error initially, thanks to BaldEd for steering me in the right direction. TFTC
After reading Troodles log below I think we may have messed up WP5 and search about 100m away. Looks like a return visit some day. Cheers
Second cache of the day, and another one we made hard work of.
WP2 - found 2 explanations on 2 different plaques, so had 2 numbers to play with (if other cachers find themselves in this situation, go for the larger, obvious plaque!)
WP5 - We knew what the correct answer was, but a lot of people have trouble with this logic and get it wrong, so again we had 2 possible answers. We should have trusted the cache owners to get this right!
So, after a few false starts with wrong numbers, we finally found the cache.
Really enjoyed the wander around Kirwee. TFTC.

#1492 (2/11 on a Sunday drive). Enjoyable walk round Kirwee. Had to juggle the numbers a bit (as per Troodles' log entry) but we got there in the end. TFTC.
Whilst returning home from Darfield I made my 3rd attempt to sign this cache's log. I had been thwarted on the first visit by workmen and on the 2nd by a family gathering pine cones. This time the coast was completely clear and the cache was found in very quick order. Swapped TB's: In, MZ TB; Out, KAA's Badge Collector TB. Thanks for the cache.
We did a Kirwee Kruise but koudn't kum up with a kache! Think we over thought the answers. One of 3 DNFs today ! Not a good cache count day but a good sunny day to get out & about.
1st for the month. We did something wrong, but still managed to get to the end, after reading Bald Ed's log.Widened our search and there it was.TTB LTB.TFTC and a nice look around the town.
An interesting wee tour of Kirwee. Found without too much trouble even tho WP3 was a bit elusive. Signed the log after MollyChCh who had been out to check their cache today. A good game of rugby going on nearby so left "Go the Boks" geocoin as it was the only thing that seemed to have any connection with the coins desire....Took 2 x TBs to move along. TFTC

Have to check WP3 this weekend. You can guess if you want as the final is in walking distance...
The gps gods were not with me today. (2nd dnf out of 3 caches attempted). The question for WPT3 needs to be revised for the published number is no longer at those coordinates - I guessed what the value most likely would be, but on approaching the cache GZ I had to give up for there were workmen hard at work within 10-20m of the cache 's GZ.
A great afternoon for a Mothers Day walk, so off to Kirwee it was. A short wander collecting the WP info and then a bit of a hunt around the place as the first workings had me out in a paddock. Back to the drawing board and with a good long think about a certain question came to the right answer. I see by the GZ I originally calculated, I wasn't the only one Left a TB and a coin, thanks for the tour of a tidy rural town.
A lot of people around today watching the sport, luckily not us. A nice walk around Kirwee even got to see the Fire engine.TFTC.
Always the bridesmaid!! Really enjoyed the walk through quite a substantial township. We did notice the pleasant lack of rubbish,(except at the final,) and the lack of any shops. A modern little town, with wonderful sporting facilities. Thankyou.
