Seems like the park has gone, along with the cache site. Thanks Radnoski for keeping an eye on this for us and posting updates
Sorry bad news on this cache.
I visited the park (or what is left of it) yesterday and most of the fig tree have been cut down and large fences surround the area.
The area has been "reclaimed" as part of the rapid transit system.
I have attached some photos I took over the fence.

There is an article in today's Gold Coast Bulletin about this park. The park has been fenced off and a number of the fig trees are being cut down in preparation for the "billion-dollar rapid transit system".
I will keep an eye on the area and see if the hiding spot is still accessable/availiable when the fences come down.

Quick find, but log has seen better days and could do with replacing. Did not have any small enough on me at time.
Nice and cool in the shade. The trees here grow around everything in their path. Great spot and a good hide too. Like it. Thanks.
Nice easy one no one around, no TB's either they would have to be pretty small anyway. TFTC
Love these ones, half expect a hobbit to speak to me when i'm scratching for a cache around these. TFTC
What an amazing tree nearby. I love when nature strikes back
Found on the way (slight detour) walking from motel to conference. Going to be a long long day, but it's started on the right note!

Found this with SpringHeeledJill taking "photos" of the graffiti-covered trees as cover. My first find on the Gold Coast - I was terrified of putting my hand on something poisonous or with a sting! TFTC.
Cache Hunt 748; GAFF1; Weather, Cloudy; Helpers, None; Cache condition, Great; Find of the day, 1st; STATUS, Found; GPSr at GZ - 4m
My first cache in QLD. We came up for a weeks holiday and hoping to get some caching done. After some supplies, I walked over and picked this one up. Coords ok, even with tree coverage and found cache nice and dry. Thanx nzblanchard, TFTC.

Spending the night at the casino. Take a stroll across the road and found a cache . TFTH.
Glad we had monkey-boy with us for this one! The log sheet was soaking wet and all the writing had run so we took that out, dried the cache container inside and replaced with another piece of paper. The cache lid is cracked so I think it's just a matter of time before this new log gets wet too. It probably needs replacing but we were unprepared. TFTC, it's a great location!
Dash it.Drove past the park, and had to find a way to get back, but in the end the job was done.TFTC.
#9900!!! Woo hoo!!
Used the montans camera to check the spot before making the grab

This was the southern most cache I walked to today, and the find was made pretty quickly. Not too many people around so that made things easy for me.

Yayz! Our first find on the Gold Coast, furthest from home and furthest east for us! TFTC.
Nearly gave up after covering every inch of the tree but found it on my last attempt. TFTC. My 7th for the day & all done
Walking home from the shops and thought I'd have a look for this one. Tricky hide! Didn't have a pen so I'll go back to sign later TFTC
GPS had me close to GZ but which tree? After checking out each tree in the area eventually found the well hidden cache protected by a spider of a type I hadn't seen before. SL TFTC. cloudglider

On my way from Brisbane to Byron Bay this was a quick and easy find in an empty park. TFTC!

Found quite easily... First cache on the gold coast for us. Log needs replacing soon. You can still write on the back though tftc
There were lots of possible spots to look but we soon had the cache in hand. I'd love to know the history of the concrete in the middle of the tree. TFTC
Found by torchlight after a few minutes searching. The reflection of the lights sparkled in the nearby canal. TFTC
Visiting from SA. Left wife and kids shopping and ducked out to find this one. TFTC
Found with GeO_LIGHLTY on our last day on the Gold Coast. We were a bit reluctant to search with our hands in unknown places, and had to use stealth as muggles walked by. We were close to giving up when "bingo", cache in hand. TFTC is a great location.
This one took us a while to find becasue we wern't sure what else we would find, but after a bit we found it.
TFTC found with De Ja Vu

After a night at the peppers with the Family. We were looking for a TB to take Back to Perth. No coin in cache tho TFTH loving the gold coast.
Had to walk past because children playing in the tree. After 100 metres we turned around and saw that the children had moved on, so we went back and found the cache.
Parked at the shopping center and walked over to this one. Hubby missed it but it could not hide from me. SL TFTC
2nd attempt at this one. Took the geokid who was at the right level for the find. TFTC
Checked al the spots available but only came up with an empty tuna can........yuck!
Will head back as previous logs show it is there. I think a torch might help.

My first Aussie cache. Visiting here from the U.S. Really enjoyed this cache. Very nice location. Saw many beautiful birds that we don't have in Idaho! Thanks for the cache!
This was a quick walk from where we were staying. Easy find once some walkers passed

This was next on my radar. Initially, I came up empty handed and was going to do the PAF option. As I was talking to said "F", I spotted the cache in its hidey home. It is in good condition. TFTC nzblanchard
#701. This one took longer than it should have. We looked in the likely places but came up empty. As we were about to give up, the cache revealed itself. A nice area too. SL, TFTC.
Searched high and low, GPS kept coming back to one tree with a few hiding holes, but I even used a torch and a long stick to try to get into the deep recesses, and turned up nothing. Disturbed an ants nest, and decided to move on after 15 mins.
In Brisbane at the moment for work/study and decided to take the day off today, to do something relaxing .
This one was the first cache for the day. Did not see a geocoin in it.

Checked out all nearby places before returning for a more thorough look - ah...there it is!!
Thanks nzblanchard.
Thanks nzblanchard.
Circled round a few times before spotting the cache in its hiding spot. Thanks for the cache.
Took a while with this one... Found with a little help from a flashlight. TFTC! And greetings from NZ
The GPS signal was all over the place unfortunately however we left it and found one of the other caches in the park and returned later to find it with a little bit of searching and good luck! TFTC
Picked up yesterday while wandering through Pac Fair. Lovely little park. TFTC SL
couldn't find it looked around but i think the gps lost its signal under the trees
found it..
Out caching with Gunnie69 today..
on arrival @ GZ Gunnie69 spotted an empty container decided that wasn't the cache. A further rsearch found a container (sans log) mentioned by a previous cacher and figured that it was too neatly placed not to be the cache... After an extensive seach around GZ and covering every nook and cranny, we put some paper in the found container and placed it back. A cache container in a likely place just has to be the cache...

Kaisho53 and I spotted an empty container at GZ and quickly decided it wasn't the cache. We then found a container mentioned by the previous hunter and figured that it was too neatly placed not to be the cache... After scouring the remainder of GZ and covering every nook and cranny, we put some paper in the found container and placed it back. Things like this don't just appear so we were confident it was the cache...
Cheers nzblanchard.

This one beat us today. Maybe our GPS was taking us to the wrong tree.
I did put my hand on a clear plastic film container and had to climb to prize it out. It was empty and didn't look like the one we were supposed to find.
We will return.

Found on a early mrning trip through this part of the Gold Coast. Nice hide as had to guess with GPS dropping out with the tree cover.
Good day for caching. Not so much rain but babd enough weather to keep muggles away. TFTC.
#206 @15:38 Had to wait for a busload of people to pass, who just got of the bus and went to Pacific Fair. Didn't find the Maya-coin but also found out why. Seems to be elsewhere and doesn't fit here anyway because it is too big. Nice little park-area though. TFTC.
tftc took usa little while to find this as a few muggles were walking around us but finally found gz thanks for bringing us here to this beautiful spot
This one took us awhile to locate as seats in area had people sitting at them
When we finally located it we wondered why we had previously missed it

Tried to find this one a few months ago, but gps went on the blink. Back today in the rain and soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks for bringing me back.
Thanks for bringing me back.
Our last day here in QLD, so we thought we would fill our morning with some good caching... great find thanks... found with luxeyes and geokid
I visited a camera store yesterday and got some free caching supplies.
I have replaced the container.
The new hiding spot is a couple of meters from the original spot and at shoe level.
Don't forget to bring your own ink.
(I hope this is OK nzblanchard)

I checked out the GZ today and it is definitely muggled.
The leaf cover has dried out and blown away from the original hiding spot.
There are plenty of hiding spots at the GZ, I just didn't have the right container on me to fit.
I will stock up and return.

Accompained with Everlasting, we search, search, everywhere on gz as unable to find cache there.. Give up then stay for lunch YUMMMMMM....
Unfortunately a DNF here. Pretty sure we looked in the right spot as previous logs made reference to 'a spot'.
Fun hide! Tricky to get cache out but not impossible. Don't think I would have spotted it without the tuna can - it was pretty dark in there! Indiana Jill and I enjoyed this one : )
After a weekend at Burleigh Heads, we're heading back to Brisbane, then I'm off home to NZ.
My driver, Smithzonians, knew right where this might be. The tuna can is a funny diversion.
Lovely park. No time for shopping or leaving any money here.
TFTC and causing us to detour.

Nice we park by the road and river, very wet and found the cache with a bit of thinking. TFTH
My second for the day (and for QLD). Gizmo was a bit out due to weather and a bit of coverage but the hide seemed obvious. TFTC.
Found this while geo wife was shopping nearby. Went to the wrong spot first off as the GPS was playing up a bit. Cache was soon in hand on another great day on the Coast. 1st of 4 for the day and the second last day of holidays. Thanks for the cache.
It was easy to find the spot and spent more than 10 mins, but could not find. Only thing I could see in the tree was an empty tuna can.
