GT37 and I were heading home from the Rutherglen Mega and decided to find a few caches in Chiltern on the way. This was found nice and quickly after a short stroll around the rather muddy dam.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.

Found It!
A nice drive in here and a quick find once I got to GZ. The dam seems fairly full at the moment.

Find # [NUMBER] for me at [TIME].
We're in the Rutherglen area for the Mega during Easter 2023.
Today this was found on a side trip to Walwa to do some cache maintenance.
Found the cache deep down in the tree.
Everything was dry enough so that I didn't need to leave the new Logbook I had brought.
A fav point for a hide in a real cachy location.
Thanks kiara001, for giving back to the game.

Found with gmj3191 whilst camping and caching in the region for the Rutherglen mega. We saw lots of birds and butterflies at this beautiful spot. Thanks for bringing us here.
Found today while geocaching in the Chiltern area. the cache was ok after the recent rain. which was surprising given the amount of water laying around the GZ. TFTC.

Another great Spring day out in the North East, in the splendid company of Suscoe. So many caches popping up in every direction, it is hard to know which track to take.
A Golden Oldie - 10+ years on the gameboard!
Thanks kiara001 for placing interesting caches on the geogameboard.

Well what a splendid Spring day we had for our trip to Chiltern with Phetlern.
It was a big day with an early departure and a late afternoon return to Wangaratta.
Sunny skies, around 23 degrees and a gentle breeze every now and again.
There was also a terrific range of caches to find.
Chiltern is a lovely town, a lot of heritage in the streetscapes and in the surrounding areas.
Thanks to kiara001 for this placement out here. So quiet today.

The wattle have now come out in bloom, looks very yellow and pretty in the area today. Heaps of kangaroos on the way in. Quick find, signed and returned. TFTC
Found by Mary and David at 13:30. A nice detour. Plenty of galahs rosellas and cockatoos here. Evidence of mining too, and the hints of wattle reminded us of a golden past. Our thanks to kiara001.
In the area catching up with my geo buddy Happy Pants and putting some smiles on the map.
Another cache I was happy to be doing on a cooler day.
What a beautiful area.

With the sun shining while grabbing some caches out in this very interesting and picturesque area and also in good company of omegaman1971 it was not hard to enjoy the drive around the region. This one was found after a short wander from the ute and made a quick find, thanks kiara001 for the cache and for bringing us here.
Don’t get out geocaching in Chiltern NP very often as I usually have the GeoHound and no dogs allowed. However, we are dog sitting at the moment and they both had a long walk this morning, so after family duties I had a few hours spare this afternoon. Have a few puzzles solved in this part of the world so thought I would use the time to collect those and clean a few others up as well. Was a very pleasant afternoon poking around a few tracks I had never travelled, and revisiting a few sites I had been before. Actually used my binoculars for once as well (though not much flowering) and saw a few nice birds as well.
As I jumped in the car a male Robin appeared on the road - thought would be a Scarlet, but got the binoculars on a nice plumaged male Red-capped - first one I have seen for a while. Continued down the road and parked at the start of rough track and wandered down to the dam - assume this can get much fuller in a wet year but the Crinia signifera were happily calling (I am certain they can call from under ice). Walked to GZ and had a quick look - didn't really want to stick my hand in there but nothing was obvious from the outside. Thankfully the first thing hit was a nice sized cache (and not a hibernating snake) and extracted signed and returned quickly. Another mixed flock near the car on the way back - best bird here was a Speckled Warbler (another threatened species in NSW).

Left Adelaide heading for the V8's at Winton, what a better way to seek a few Yellow faces along our route.
Some have been interesting as others not so, but without having a go we wouldn't have been brought to those special places in the Geocaching World.
Thank to the CO for maintaining these hides and getting us out of the car.

School holiday fun caching with TheClazzas around Chiltern. Quick find by geokids. SL & returned as found. Great views along the ridge from donkeys bolthole. Tftc.
Great day for a drive through the bush with Wackyweedos. Arrived at this one and soon found it.
Out and about on yet another adventure with Teamthommo, this was a nice one to do TFTC
Taking the drive to Donkey Hill (sic) on a regular basis as a child I alway kept an eye out for Donkey's it wasn't till I was a teenager that I realised it was Donchi Hill. I have fond memories of coming here with my mum and hunting terrestrial orchids. I have some photos of my son when he was very little running through 1000's of chocolate lilies, so many that his legs were painted purple!
Today we were back but we were hunting caches! My mum GeoGranni has fond memories of coming here with her father looking at terrestrial orchids. It's a special place.

Found with Tassie Trekkers as we head to the Qld Mega. A lot of history in this lovely town. TFTC
We past a canola field nearly ready to go into flower and then came upon a dam, there are so many of these that pop out of nowhere around here. The cache was quickly located when we arrived at GZ.

After finding another cache nearby with the cache owners of Off Lappins Track, we said our goodbyes and headed off for one last cache before going home. Thanks for sharing this great area with us.
# 7430 Found on the second leg of our S.K.I.D.R.O. adventure,
at another stopover in this little town for a few days.
A great little 4wd track and a short stroll to GZ.
Not 1 single muggle around and a quick find.
Thanks for the cache kiara001,

Nice walk in, but lots of kangaroos on track. Wriggle awoken my senses but today I had gumboots on not thongs
Approaching this on sunset there were lots of roos crossing the road as we drove in. Nice walk in to the cache. Disturbed a snake in the undergrowth TFTC kiara001
On our way to do a Chiltern National Park tour, caching and for Mrs Spy Inc. bird watching and photography. Nice quick find, love being in the National Park... TFTC
Had driven past this on a few times, and just watched as the GPS arrow slowly worked its way around until it pointed behind us, but finally stopped in. We went for a little walk, and although it was set on a certain spot, even with the trees, it was still quite a bit from the cache. After looking around and spotting something that looked like a good hidding spot, i found a nicely tucked away little cache. Signed the log, then wandered up to have a closer look at the dam. Thanks for bringing us here Kiara001, i enjoyed this spot!
I turned this cache into "Off Bernie Road"
That way I had a longer stroll through the bushland and mine workings to get to GZ down by the lake

A bit of a wander around the North-East today with Bettyboo3747, finishing up around Chiltern joined by Chewin.
We came out on a bush track just near Lappins track, so we detoured down the road. Everything is very dry around here, although there is still a bit of water in the dam.
Thanks, Robmc.

This cache, and a few others, have been on the list of "must get around to it one day" caches. Finally it's done. Now for the others. Interesting again to see yet more of the old workings.
Thanks kiara001

Was a really fun road to drive along with all the bumps and holes, made it to the cache and was very happy to find it. It is a really awesome spot to put a cache and great hide. TFTC
12.30 Out on my own today while Mr X is training in Chiltern. This is my first time in the place and very impressed on the local proud attitude. We are here on the annual garage sale day. There are over 60 places showing balloons at their front fence for any interested buyers. What a great idea.
Had gone down the wrong track for this one so I decided to bush bash the direct line. I would have reconsidered this if I had known that the area had had an outbreak of king brown snakes. I did not see one at all (thank goodness). Nice easy find and cache is in good condition.
Thanks for the cache kiara001 very impressed with your town

we found it in the dark. it was very cold, so our youngest member stayed in the car
One of 37 finds for the day with bogonghazy on our third day around Wang & surrounds. Enjoyed the bush tracks into here with my new GeoMobile, although she got a bit muddy these last few days. Thanks to kiara001
On a tour of Wang and district with my good mate Sully1, this was our Chiltern Chase. We made the walk around the lagoon here and the well hidden cache was soon in hand. Thanks for showing us this great area kiara001
After a little bit of 4WDing abd a bit of off roading we arrived at a likely place to stop so we could head off to the cache. A farmer in the adjoining paddock was no doubt keeping an eye on us just to make sure we did not rustle any of his sheep! After a bit of too and froing (the GPS was hazy all Easter) we found what we were looking for and made our escape. Thanks Kiara001 for the cache.
Please accept my apologies for "boilerplate logs" this week. Caching during the day and socialising at night leaves little time to do real justice to each cache log. Found today whilst attending OZ MEGA. Did the tour to Yackandandah and Beechworth townships picking up smilies and ten icon types. Thanks for the cache in such a wonderful area.
Nice easy find. Had a great day out, this was 1 of 21 we completed today. TNLN Thanks for the cache.
Well done Kiara001 for your first hide, you picked a beautiful spot. Nice and peaceful and looks like some water has been through here lately. The cache was nice and dry considering.
On the way back from a brief jaunt from Rutherglen and surrounds to the parents at Chiltern so veered onto Lappin's Track for a find. Smelled something dead nearby GZ but wasn't going to scour the area looking for the source in case it was human. SL at 11.30am. Nice spot for a cache! TNLN. TFTC Bingley3683.
Finally having the opportunity to grab a long weekend away we decided to try and clean up a few caches in Albury and surrounding areas hoping to allow for more socializing at the upcoming mega event. Today we made sure we took the time to do the caches that we haven't had time to stop for or that have just been just a little too far off our beaten track. A good friend of ours married a Lappin who we assume that this track and a few others have been named after as the family has lived in Chiltern for a long time so needless to say we really wanted to do this one. We parked near the dam and took a short walk through the long grass and we spotted a very likely hide as we approached gz, our suspicions were correct and we were soon signing the log.
Thanks kiara001 for the cache

# 203. Rode the mountain bike in to this one (the long way I feel). I wanted to rescue The Fluffy Eared Bunny and get her on her way again. She was still there minus her tag. Need her code from the owners to log her out of the cache. GPS was accurate and it was a nice easy find. TFTC.
Took: Bunny TB
Left: Crazy Cow TB (who has had a facelift as the original cow escaped to greener pastures.

Found on my way to Sydney for the MCBC raid. A nice easy find once I arrived at GZ, it was good to get out in the bush and find a cache. TFTC
Loved this spot, so quiet and peaceful. Just what I needed today. A nice walk and a quick find. TNLN TFTC!
Second time here, just cruising past hoping to pick up Fluffy ears bug. Rabbit was there but tag has gone in the last year - hard to find who took it!
Nice little spot to sit and listen to the birds. TNLN TFTC.

A quick detour to Log this after the wife was left at Chiltern for an Art Show, I gave the art show a miss to get some much needed caches.
Nice cache location.
Nice cache location.
Found it after a bit of searching - noted travel bug. Dam still full after a very wet summer. Bush full of spider webs!
What a beautiful spot! I drove through to pick this one up after a trip to Rutherglen for a pie. The dam is very full, although it doesn't look that inviting for swimming due to the gunk that appears to have spawned on the dam's surface!
Found the cache, and spotted a TB, YAY! I love travellers, picked up the resident, and dropped off one I had been carrying. Thanks for the cache kiara, we signed the log, took nothing else, and had a fun trip back through the bush!
