### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?** ###

----------

I notice from one or more recent log entries that **this cache may be in need of owner intervention.** Whilst there has only been one DNF, it was last found over a year ago and according to the logs the last CO visit was back in 2014.

Therefore, I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Prompt attention by cache owners to any log that indicates anything could be amiss is greatly appreciated by all seekers. The guideline advises; ***"if you can't check/fix it straight away then Disable it till you can."*** see here: [Owner is responsible for visits to the physical location,](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance ) and here's how; [Temporarily Disable and Enable,](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) also check out this Blog: [Helpful Tips To Keep In Mind As A Geocache Owner.](http://www.geocaching.com/blog/2015/03/you-hid-your-first-geocache-now-what/)

Please respond to this situation by **3rd October** to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and indicating a date when you believe the situation will be resolved.

**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

Spent a while looking for this cache today but no luck, geobaby had enough after about 20 mins so we will have to try again another day.

01-Jul-18
Taking a side trip on route to Sale with gwd.aussie to pick up a nearby cache that fills a hole in my hidden date calendar. I have previously solved and been to this cache with a geo-friend when I was a muggle (I still shudder when I remember the snake crossing my path all the time ago) to finally returning today to claim the find.

Thanks Jimmymaff.

I was told some time ago that I would need help to get this cache due to my physicality. That is the worst possible thing you can say to me (see GC7KFRV). I arrived determined, collected the information and traipsed down a delightful path enjoying the scenery and creek noise. I spotted the hide soon after arriving at gz and contemplated my options. I'm going to go out there and say my physicality is actually an asset here; nimble and lighter for the win! I managed to get to the cache, got filthy hands in the process and used a public toilet tap in Maffra to rinse suspicious brown marks off my hands before heading on to visit patients in Stratty. Well, today was the day we came to gather these two caches. In hindsight we should have done them earlier in the year, but not knowing what the conditions were like, we opted out because of snakes.

Being multi's was sure to guarantee a walk, but it proved to be OK in the long run. An easy to calculate set of coordinates and the caches was soon in hand.

Gotta love this park. Thanks to the CO for the placement.

09-Jul-17
as we were well on the way to this cache we kept going. The walk is amazing with bridges to cross and awesome trees on the creek banks. Lucky my agile and tall daughter came with me otherwise my old bones would have hampered this find.
TFTC it made our day.

13-Jan-17
That was some effort. Cache got a bit stuck but we managed to force it out with a stick.

02-May-16
Yay! 100th find, though I didn't expect to work that hard for it! Had fun getting my hands on it. Took frog, left grass hopper. TFTC

04-Apr-16
Wow...what a great hide

27-Mar-16
Oh my oh my. Had a lovely walk to ground zero. Geochild found the location and then geochild had to convince geodad to retrieve the cache. Geodad is a soft touch and after a bit of effort the log was retrieved and signed . Thanks. Silkyie

A really nice place to go for a walk, as we were walking to GZ it started raining. Had a bit of a laugh at GZ really good twist.

Beautiful spot. The cache wasn't the easiest to get to but got it in the end. TFTC

30-May-15
I have had this cache on the to list ever since I started Geocaching. Today was the day that I finally got around to doing it.

I found the information and did the sums. I headed off to GZ. As I walked along the track I spotted the fox again walking in paddock. It was to far away for a picture.

When I reached GZ and located the cache, I instantly knew this was not going to be easy. I decided that a vertical assistance device was going to be required. As I didn't have one readily available , I thought I would have to log a DNF and come back another day.
As I walked back to my car, which was parked on Sandy Point Rd.. I had time to get the old grey matter thinking of what I may have on board to help me. It wasn't to long before I came up with a possible solution to the current dilemma that I faced with me reaching the cache and added my name to the log.

I soon made my way back to GZ via another route and put into action my solution.

Whilst trying an option of accessing the log I was covered in ants. I did have success in the end though.

Thanks Jimmy for brining me to a spot that I did not know existed.

'Scrat' visited your cache whilst on his Great Aussie Adventure.

23-Jul-14
Hmmmmm. Maybe an angry critter didn't like my cache lol.

22-Jul-14
Went for a walk last night and notice that the cache has been destroyed. I have notified Jimmymaf that it needs replacing

09-Jun-14
Jimmymaff strikes again! After reading all the logs, I was prepared to get wet feet and do some climbing- but I did not have to do either. ORnursie and I used our heads instead and soon extricated the cache. Replacing it was a little trickier but by using a hair and beauty item to help hold it in place, girl power won and we didnt have to chip a nail!

09-Jun-14
Where do I start. A wonderful walk through pretty area. Phone gps started to go off a little but help from Stratfordvan assisted. Once found it took a bit of strategic planning to get it and then fun getting it back. This resulted in me loosing my hair tie. Good one Jimmymaff.

31-May-14
Finally got around to doing this one and it earns a favorite from us, loved the hide and the extra effort. TFTC Jimmymaff, up up to your usual tricky standard. TNLN

30-Mar-14
I near gave up till I look up great cach. Nearly got me with the decoy but I found.

20-Mar-14
Heading off to Wilsons Prom today but could not resist getting a few more caches around this area. This was one of the caches we targetted and were able to find in conjunction with caching friends LazzaL. Fav point alloc. Thanks to Jimmymaff.

20-Mar-14
Out this morning to get a few more caches before heading off to Fish creek with friends Liz & Bruce and this was one of the excellent caches of the day. Thanks to Jimmymaff

Dropped off a couple of TBs

04-Aug-13
Parked car at Sandy Creek car park and geodog and I set out for a leisurely stroll to way point 1. Towards the end of our destination we came to a bridge that looked as though it had been washed out but on closer inspection and with some fancy footwork it was as solid as a rock. After retrieving co ords we soon arrived at GZ. A quick search and I saw a structure I had seen many times before!!!! Cache was soon retrieved after not one but 2 lots of physical exertion Smile. Thanks for a great cache Jimmy, one of my favourites.TNLN

25-May-13
Will never forget this one! Classic, brilliant.

22-May-13
We already knew where the GZ was located from previous attempts, but this time we brought friends. It was a short search and a quick scramble and the cache was located. Thanks Jimmymaff

22-May-13
Found with geobaristas. Teaser did the scramble, the crowd roared, the crowd groaned then success. Glad didn't read the logs about spiders or it would still be unfound. Great hide, thanks jimmymaff

31-Mar-13
Yay - found it Big Grin while out on a pleasant stroll to explore Bellbird Creek on Easter Sunday morning with friends and dogs. This may not have been found if it wasn't for one of the group being a bit of a dare devil who will happily going to great lenghts and heights to find hidden treasure. Happy to report that there were no ants today to distract happy cachers BUT, at GZ, the Big Black Spider made an appearance and quickly disappeared again. Not to sure who got the biggest fright - the spider or the dare devil cacher and cache finding assistants! Lots of OMG's were heard as well as laughter once the spider had retreated. The dare devil cacher did manage to maintain composure long enough to retrieve the cache, sign the log and return the cache to its hiding spot. A very clever cache and hiding spot Jimmy, the Big Black Spider just added to the excitement.

03-Mar-13
Not 100% sure we went to the right place. Also, my girlfriend mistook a tree stump for a wild pig and got a bit jumpy after that! Didn't really have a good look. Will try again soon!

02-Dec-12
Found the decoy cache first and were a little peeved but then Mrs Drouinrooboy spotted a likely candidate for the real cache.
A cunning hide young jimmymaff.
Love your work

02-Dec-12
Found this after a couple of unsuccessful attempts. Even the mercurial TRP2760 and Angelica11 have had trouble so I was pleased to bag this along with Drouinrooboy out for a Sunday drive with "the girls". Thanks for the cache Jimmymaff. The ants are still there but not sure about the spider!!

16-Sep-12
Wow what a cool cache.... and what a HUGE BLACK UGLY SPIDER.... My god it scared the hell out of me. It is sitting up the back watching over the cache.

Well this one had me completely Jimmymaff..... First of all I said easy...... then I said Oh No.....

After ten minutes of thinking and looking it came to me.... The right angle with the right light and it all seemed to come together....

Those bloody ants are working on commission for sure.... lol

Thanks for the great hunt the kids loved it.

We made a few swaps and took the TB.

Will drop off soon.

Ok, back on track after Wombat Wander. A pleasant walk to WP1, collected info, did the maths – too easy! A quick look at the raging torrent from the other side, a quick look at the GPSr and yep, could have guessed that’s where it would be! Another pleasant walk to GZ? Is that it? Nah, Jimmy wouldn’t do that. Continued looking and exhausted all possibilities. Maybe it is! “No you don’t”, said Ladybug, as I proceeded to acquire a better vantage point. “You’ll give yourself another hernia”, she added remembering my mistake of late last Geocaching season and the obvious follow up earlier this year. With much anticipation I headed forth much to the delight of the “guarding” ants, that must have already arrived from Wombat Wander! Yep, Jimmy, I got the wrong surprise. Ok, back to WP1 and check the signs and the maths? “No”, exclaimed Ladybug, however after my insistence we headed off again on the pleasant walk, removing any stray ants en route. At WP1 the sign was re-inspected, the maths revisited and the pleasant walk retaken! Amid rumblings about Jimmy being a mongrel, we arrived at GZ again and looked around for a further fifteen minutes. Would he really? Nah, Jimmy wouldn’t do that! I’ll just see anyway. Among other numerous surprises I received some good news. Ladybug took nothing, left nothing, and at my insistence, signed the log in haste. Lots of bug language was to be heard at Bellbird Corner that afternoon! Ok, off to the car, we’ll head for the Coffin Tree. At the first major intersection I had to hastily exit the car (engine still running and indicator flashing) and remove my shirt. The passing traffic slowed to observe the idiot doing the jig in the middle of the intersection, all the while waving his shirt in the air. One poor woman slowed dramatically, perhaps thinking we had broken down. Much bug language was also to be heard at that corner as well!
I was still fighting the ants at the Coffin Tree and I am positive that’s why we achieved another DNF. More bug language, no thanks to you Jimmy. I removed my last ant at 1945hrs, well after returning home!
I am certain that there is some sort of moral to this tale.

Loved it!
Found it with Vicki. Great cache from a very creative cacher. Smile Thanks, Jimmymaff.
This one deserves a favourite vote! Big Grin

08-May-12
Dropped off a couple of TBs. Go get em.

26-Mar-12
There are 2 ways to reach the first waypoint. The second option doesn't require you to cross the creek. Happy Hunting

25-Mar-12
The wet weather has made reaching the first waypoint impossible unless you want to swim!

05-Jan-12
A very cunning hide. But I have found some before on the second or third visit. One to conquer in the near future. The first clue was under the ants looking for a new home. Did find the try again note...

01-Jan-12
Walking to this we were wondering why this is rated 3 a regular in this type of area can't be that hard to find. BUT!!! Favourite vote from us.

03-Oct-11
Wandering around Maffra today while the kids training at gym. Thought I would finally get this one off my list. A lovely walk, and then found in a style expected of Jimmymaff. TNLN. Thanks for a great hide.

16-Feb-11
I did the Wombat Wander through this delightful area just under a year ago.
Today I found meself wandering again along the creek Big Grin
The tree at the entry point has had some more surgery I see.
Maybe the possums are getting fatter and heavier !! [:o)]

The paths were neatly mown.
So nice to see ongoing care and maintenance happening instead of the area being neglected [^]
The TLC must be working because there was a group of half a dozen muggles wandering around too !!

This cache took me to parts of the reserve I didn't see last visit.
Both the creek and the river were flowing.
With the waypoint found I wandered over to GZ after the muggles had cleared the area and quickly spied something that could hide a cache Razz
I wasn't convinced, but had to check anyway to satisfy my curiosity.
The little black ants quickly satisfied their curiosity too and I was soon covered in them [:o]
After all that ....... curse you Jimmymaff Twisted

So I looked elsewhere for the cache and finally got all those damn itchy black ants off me !! [:(!]

Thanks for the cache, the delighful stroll and some seriously warped cache hiding [^]

12-Dec-10
After reading the previous logs, I wasn't sure whether to bring a boat or a pair of gum boots. As it turned out neither was required. It was quite a challenge as it turned out, figuring out how to get the WP and final GZ, then the call for skills long forgotten. Where do I send the doctors bills ?

Many thanks JimmyMaff, we enjoyed the challenge, it was fun.

Took the Geocoin. TFTC SL left some skin.

15:00 - came in from the other end of the walk and found the creek too high to cross. Drove around to the other end, found clue OK, but not the GZ. There has been some flooding recently, at least a metre above the site, and cache may be lost.

Awesome cache. Jimmymaff - you are in danger of letting your cunning side get the better of you!

Great day for a walk with the Geokids and better half, this place is fast becoming one of our favourite areas for a bit of mornos. Been a while since getting out for some caching, but this one has reignited the spark.

Thanks for the cache, I just need to see the physio now. Big Grin

Left GC, moving on the TB.

23-May-10
Found GZ pretty quickly then took some time pin pointing the cache, after a further search located same, I am glad we found it as a not old person/people as I think some may have trouble with this one! TFTC TNLN

09-May-10
Well. It just goes to show. Sometimes the littlest hint in a previous log can get a cacher in trouble. Lucky I'm still nimble on the pins and didn't get wet. So WE also recalculated and finally trusted my GPSr, mind you Hillbridges Colardo is iffy under cover and my old trusty eTrek keeps on going. Great hide in an asset to the local Landcare members.

09-May-10
Found at 1210hrs on a Caching day out with fellow cacher 'Undies'
Have a few choice words for you Jimmy, lol Smile
After a look here, a over look there, caching partner nearly going for a swim. Then another look here, we finally found it.
Great Cache, one of the best.
TNLN, TFTC

03-May-10
A relaxing (well, would have been apart from having to get home and get ready for work...again) walk in this park/reserve. We got the co-ords worked out at wp and then made our way to the gz. By chance I spotted a likely hide, but after checking it, with a smile, I was wrong. I looked around again - almost even got my feet wet!!! But I soon worked out the errors of my way. With Mrs E standing by and chuckling, I retrieved the cache - phew - no swaps - but signed the log as FTF and left a TB.....Thanks Jimmymaff....I think....
