WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 52 - Bunbury Day 4. After a day trip away yesterday and a night of rain , I had a day of caching around Bunbury in mind today. I started with an eScooter trip into town to do some Labs and a few remaining city caches. After that it was into the car and out into the now very sunny day to cache to the South West, including a few busy retail areas that may be difficult on work days. I enjoyed the lake and saw some more beaches before a few short hill climbs. .Having finished my industrial caches for the day, I headed up this hill to check out two caches up here. The trail took me up and around behind the houses to a nice lookout where I was able to look around find this cache in amongst the wet trees. Thanks for the cache Rach247773.8 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Birthday 08 A#108**Albida**
Very easy find...seems it may not have been replaced correctly. Found by Geodad.Tucked away safely now...TFTC
Initially searched the wrong fork but a quick turn gave me the cache in hand.
Shame it's so cloudy today, otherwise the view would be amazing!

Out and about today and I decided to check the map to see what was nearby.
I find myself with time to kill so I stopped by here for a find.
Many thanks to Rach2 for placing and maintaining Panorama. I found it, I signed it, and put it back as found.

Another day, more geocaches to find. I scanned the area and spotted a cache to go for. I got there and it was absolutely perfect conditions for our slithering friends. So I had only a cursory look and pulled the pin. So that led me to this cache as it is the next closest one.
I found a nice place, but the vegetation is a little grown obscuring some of the view. But that’s not my main reason for being here. Into the bush to find the cache. It took a while for my GPSr to agree that it was in the logical place, and as soon as I had that agreement I looked and saw the cache straight away.
As I was signing the log there was some rustling on the leaf litter nearby. I stopped and watched vigilantly but nothing came out of the bushes. Still I wrote quicker and put the cache away.

No need to bench this cache as a DNF, after a bit of foraging, the cache was in hand tftf

Was back in Bunbury for the weekend, for a drinks and pizza with my friends before getting up early to check the cray pots. And lucky for us we got one and that had my name on it. Tftc.
Fantastic look out, distracted by the water for a short while, then a fast find.

The jinta mob has been a bit lacking in cache finds lately so Mrs jinta decided that a weekend away was in order to try and grab a few caches while exploring this area! We camped in Bunbury and headed away nice and early to grab a few caches around town and had an absolute blast collecting caches this weekend. Fave points will be awarded when deserved, thanks for putting this cache out. Cheers and TFTC.

Big day back down the Forrest highway with the aim of picking up all the dots left on the map between Bunbury and the caravan park where we were staying ready for the WAGB Event this weekend.
Ended up missing out on the Capel area caches as we ran out of time, will get these in the next few days.
Yes a few days earlier however given the time commitment to the event we needed to arrive early to be able to find all the caches in the area.
Some lengthy walks today as we have cherry picked all the P+G’s on every other trip!
A great day out on the road and in the sun. TFTH TFTC

On the way to WAGB, so decided to go from cache to cache starting just before australind and heading to our accomodation in Busselton.
Some huge walks today, clearing the map as on previous visits we have cached out all of the park and grabs in the area.
A good day out with some thirty odd finds. Thanks to the local COs with their caches.

pug002 went on 28/10/2017. Found what we thought was the cache, no log and nearby was a back pack with bolt cutters. Will message CO and see if it was the cache as previous cachers seemed to have had similar experience, will log as DNF for now.
A lot of rubbish in the GZ, including an orange tube, about the same size of suggested cache, but not disguised. however we did find an old back pack with bolt cutters in it - buglers tool kit? Left it well alone!
Pleased to be heading down the SWH and clear up the last few that have since been added after I cleared out the series.
Nice view from up the top, cache was a quick grab.
TFTC baffle.
baffle, I found your cache Panorama on 11/6/17.

Found the container in amongst other undesirable rubbish. The log was a mushy pile nearby.
I replaced the log and rehid the container in a likely spot. Will need a new container prevent further wet logs.

City council is working in the area to upgrade the reserve. I will replace the cache when the work is completed.
We were just about to give up on this one but luckily S'n'N gave it one last go at a different tree and found it
CO checks this one out regularly because of the DNF's. Cache still in original spot.
Spending a day out and about in Bunbury after a long time out of action! Had a reasonable look after reading the DNF logs and not found for so long. CO needs to check this one out!!!
Didn't find this one after a quick find nearby.not sure if an untimely phone call from the wife prevented me snaring the prize or it was not there.plenty of evidence of foot traffic in the scrub but couldn't lay my hands on the booty!
Oh well maybe next time.
Oh well maybe next time.
Just logging to say I enjoyed the walk and the view. Didn't find the cache as I hadn't updated my GPS for a while and was still looking for the temporary film canister at a slightly different coordinate.
TFTH- I will return.

We couldn't find this one because it was in deep bushy area, worried about snakes.
