Attempted to find this one with nanton34 (who had previously found this cache) before reading recent logs. Gave some attempt but returned back to the car without a find.
I'm logging a needs maintenance here as the cache hasn't been found since August and I was unable to find it today - the CO needs to check out the gz to make sure it's there. Be careful - there's been maintenance going on and they've been poisoning all around the paths. Maybe that's disturbed the cache?
This one definitely needs a rethink came looking at 3.53pm in the arvo and not far from gz was a guy squatting in the grass with a number of drunk and undrunk beer bottles around. Decided to give it a miss and keep going since I'm on my own.
Couldn't find it plus way too many mosquitoes looking back in recent logs few other ppl didn't find just wondering if it's still there

Looked for this cache with a friend for 20 minutes but still couldnt find it. Read all the logs for the clues.... but finally had to leave before I was late for the real world. Seems like alit of recent activity in the area.....trampled down. Is it still there? Or has it been moved?
As usual, got sprung by a muggle. I think it happens nearly every time I do caching. I had my daughter's pink back pack with me, so I pretended to be shuffling around inside... goodness knows why I'd be doing that in the middle of the path. I think sometimes I have a brain freeze when trying to be 'unseen'. ha ha. Luckily the muggle was very friendly, and just smiled and said hello and kept walking, so I was able to find the cache and pop it back quickly afterwards. I can't quite remember if it was this cache or another I did today, but I believe I couldn't sign it because the log book was so wet. Datruk, you might want to check it out if you happen to walk past any time soon.
Thanks for the fun.
Thanks for the fun.
Out today with relphy01 and a couple of mini cachers this was one of 10 caches found today.
There was a Football game on today but luckily GZ is far enough away to find this cache without getting busted, after a short search I found the cache opened it to find a very wet and unusual log.

Found it! I've been meaning to find the one for a while and today I found it! A quick stop before visiting mum. I learnt how to swim in the nearby pool! TFTC SL lots of noise today with tractors right near GZ!
Nice stream and football oval nearby.THE LOG BOOK IN CACHE IS WET AND CACHE NEEDS MAINTENANCE. That's one more find for the father and daughter team
Our 8256th overall find.
It was quiet enough for me for a very quick find.
Thanks Datruk for the cache.

Decided to take a quiet stroll after dinner.
After a bit of a wander the cache was found, log signed, swapped a "diamond" ring for the geocaching WA tag. Visited a TB & wandered off. Muggle free on rather dark, damp evening.
Thanks For The Cache and for getting me outdoors after dinner Datruk

Wandered down here after a long day of training.
Staying at the nearby hotel, I was able to walk down to GZ and once iPhone settled, I had the cache in hand,
Took nothing but left a geocaching WA tag.

OK, after a few false starts in the area, including DNF multi, soaked cache and one blocked by muggles having a picnic, I am now on a roll, particularly with this one. SL, TN, left a small gift. Thanks for bringing me here, I had no idea there was a pool nearby.
Took the chance to show muggle brother what geocaching is about. We enjoyed the short walk and found this one quickly as it had become exposed as its cover had fallen off. A bit of camouflage would help to conceal this cache, I have covered it up again and signed the log.

A quick stroll and find with my two geoson, waited for a muggle to pass and signed the log. Thanks Datruk for the cache.
So I decided to look for this one on my way to a late start at work. I parked nearby, and, thanks to the rain, found no muggles anywhere.
I got to GZ and was overwhelmed by the leaf litter and sticks on the ground! After 15 minutes of searching, I was complaining to myself that I am just no good at these micro caches that could be anywhere on the ground or in the trees! But I was determined not to give in this time. I decided to put my tantrum aside, take a step back and look around for the places where one might *logically* hide a cache. And there it was. Nice hide!
TFTC, Datruk

Picked this one up in the way home - literally as I found it just lying on the tanbark. TFTC.
Went out tonight to cleanup a few caches in this area. Parking across the road I made my way to GZ there were a pair of eyes watching me and I soon worked out it was a cat! Looked around for a bit before I made the find.

I decided to do a few caches this afternoon as I needed some 'activity' after lunch with mum. This was the second of three. I parked the car in a nearby street and had a very pleasant stroll along the trail to GZ. Fortunately there weren't many muggles about, probably because it was approaching dinnertime. After a bit of a search where my GPSr was indicating, I noticed a familiar MO that I've seen a few times recently. When I picked up the container the lid fell off so I retrieved the log and signed it at 5:40 pm. TNLN. I then put the cache back together as best I could and returned it where I had found it.
Thanks Datruk for the cleverly camo'd cache and for bringing me to these lovely parklands. I noticed that it is a dog off-lead park so I might come back soon with my geobeagles.

Had some time to kill before meeting a friend for lunch.. headed for GZ.. got there.. found it, looked at it, left it, kept looking!!.. not realising it was the cache!!.. looked for another 10mins or so.. avoiding poo!.. finally came back to the same spot...looked at it again... more closely this time.. *facepalm* n there it was! *sigh*.. TFTC!
A footy match at the nearby oval had me watching for a while, but then wandered towards GZ. Not many about down here, but took some time searching. Eventually moved away from where I thought it would be and there it was. Thanks, Datruk, for a clever hide.

Good idea! Wasn't an evil hiding spot, in fact it stood out to me, I doubt that muggles feel the same way.
Clever hide. My GPS was showing some meters away to the north, so I gave up and took geodog for a walk. On our return path the GPS showed the correct position which was an easy find. TFTC once again.
On a lovely path following the water this is a great area for this little treasure.Hiden beautifully in a very cool spot. Well done and I hope all who follow enjoy this as much as the bananas did today.
Having recently acquired a 4x4 for our vacation here in melbourne, I decided that it would be good to use it not just for its roominess and safety features, but also for its offroading capabilities. Not that this was much of an off road experience, but at 11pm tonight I made this a park and grab.
This may not be as they seem, but what they do seem is sort of our of place. The cache was quite in view as I approached GZ. I did as per instructions and left it as I found it, but I think it's just a little away from where it is meant to go and placed in the wrong way.
Nice hide. Very well done.

Very sneaky hide. I actually moved the cache once while I was looking for it. No one around in the park Sunday morning which was a good thing. TFTC.

Spent the afternoon caching with geodaughter located this pretty quick but it was a great hide. the magnet has come away from the lid but it sits in its place nicely TFTC
Quick find while strolling through the park, nice and close to the hotel as well. After a hectic day starting a 4am and fixing solar heating then a horrible flight to Melbourne, this was a nice way of winding down a bit and just enjoy caching.

Well, that was a bit obvious!
Found the cache exposed. We think there is a bit missing.
A good effort none the less.
Anyway we rehid it a bit better than we found it.

Didn't find this one on our first try a few months ago, but came back today and had success! TFTC!
Must have been lucky as we saw no muggles at all. Maybe they were all off doing early Christmas shopping. Anyway, after me dismissing the cache and moving on, geo-wife took a closer look and said that all too often statement, "Found it!". However I think it could do with a bit of repair as something is missing.
A nice walk through the park with great music playing in the background. At the hall just up the path from here there was a rock and roll dancing class going on.
With an early finish at work, no kids to dash home to, and a beautiful sunny afternoon, caches called. GPS jumped around a bit at GZ, but heading up the hill confirmed direction. POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT...
a gentle nudge of the foot quickly located this clever hide. Added a bit extra camo to its surrounds for a more natural look.
A lovely hidden park on a pleasant spring afternoon. Sincere TFTC

Nice camo , cover coming apart GPS was wondering all over but found in the end . Thanks for this hide .
What a beautiful park; so peaceful. Great camo, another exceptional cache thanks Datruk
I really enjoyed the walk thru this beautiful park. And I also really enjoyed finding a creatively-hidden cache. Great work on the camo Datruk.
PS. Camo needs some attention, it's a little broken, needs a repair job.

Good start to a night of hunting w Belle Akela and Atraversiamo. All in good condition. Love the log
This is our third go at this cache. On occasion 1 the samsung gps jumped around a lot and darkness hit - so we decided to go back home for the Etrex. On our return, the etrex took us to GZ pretty quickly, which was good as there were a lot of muggles out walking that day. We loved the hide, but, forgot our pen! that was a few months ago. Back at the pool today, we grabbed a pen and went back to sign the log......TFTC
Having met a friend at the nearby pool to pick up a forgotten clothing item of C's, I was walking back to the car and taking note of all the facilities in the area - pool, playground, large expanse of grass, footy field, club rooms. Hang on, I thought... This is just the area to hide a cache! Despite thinking this at this point, it's obvious my brain hasn't been taken over my Geocaching completely otherwise I would have had this planned six hours early when I arranged to meet my friend.
Oh well, I'm more than happy to Geocache on the fly so I pulled out my trusty iPhone out and clicked on that awesome button - Find Nearby Geocaches.
Sure enough, up popped a nearby cache. Not quite in the area where I was but not too far away and in an area which was way less busy than the pool and field. And, best of all, I had to head that way to get to my car so what's an extra 100 metres or so?
I found GZ with no problems but then the GPS started jumping all around the place. Seriously. I think it was toying with me. It was as if it was saying, 'It's over here!' ... 'HAHA! No it's not, it's over there!' ... 'LOL! Just kidding. Try back here...' This lasted about 5 minutes and given that I was on my own I was about to give up (I get a bit paranoid I'm not going to spot muggles in time to avoid suspicion). Luckily the GPS had taken me passed the spot where the cache actually was so one last look at the GPS pointed me back to the original coordinates so I decided to check one last time and BAM! There it was!
Fantastic cache. I love how much effort has gone into this one. Thank you.

Thanks for the cache awesome camo a lot of love has gone into it almost gave up on this one but cheated a little by counting out the trees on satellite he he
We had attempted this one last year when it was missing, and didn't get around to coming back until today. A quick find as the rain was threatening to bucket down. Thanks for bringing us to this park. Thanks for the cache.

OK, so I've spent the afternoon being sociable at a bbq with friends... the family's off home, and I have a myki in my pocket - now for a little me-time.
The last find before the last of the light disappeared... second on my evening walk.
Nice job on the camo for this one.
Happy International Geocaching Day.

Found this - it took me longer to get GPS organised, find a pen and put my glasses on, Lock the car and double check it's locked than it did to walk to GZ and find the clever cache. Thanks Datruk.
Found this one with Irontoad today. It has been quite an adventure to find this one. We had attempted this one a few times (a few times it was when it was MIA) but today was finally the day it was no longer to be elusive! Fairly quick find (helped a bit by the gardeners having cleared the area) but excellent camouflage and great cache. Thanks for the challenge and the cache Datruk.
Great camo, quick find when you consider, where would the CO put this but great hide.
Thanks Datruk for a cache around the corner to maintain my Project 366.
A lot of holes in recent weeks though and knee surgery next month will leave more holes. Ah well.

Today I visited a friend in Donvale.
A couple of weeks ago he and I and a couple of others played in a skiing/golfing competition, and people were pretty well disgusted at the old set of mixed no-name golf clubs I had. Bruce said he had a set I could have so today was the day I went and picked them up.
He was interested in Geocaching and suggested we get a few around his area, so of course I didn't say no.
Afterwards, on the way back home to Sandringham I cached my way down Springvale Rd., picking up a few more.
This one was one of today's haul, being number 8 out of 11 finds for the day.
A nice walk from the car along the path. Lucky someone hasn't used this to play with their dog. Nicely constructed.
Thanks for the cache Datruk

Found this one on the way home from a 4WD caching trip in order to beat my most number of finds in a day. A neat hide. TFTC
Not a quiet stroll even at this time of night!! I had a bit of a walk from the nearby reserve, to get to GZ, but then found the cache quite quickly. Wasn't sure if the rattle when I picked it up was the cache or my torch, but a bit of investigation solved that mystery. Love the hide!! This one gets a favourite!
Found at 1530.
We had looked around the area but missed it completely.
Found it just before we gave up!
It was less than a metre away from where we were standing!!!

I have stopped here couple of times but my phone always had me in the wrong spot.
Back today with my new Garmin and two "helpers" we walked straight to the right spot and I soon spotted the odd one out. My helpers were no help, even with the usual gentle hints so I made the grab for a change. The geokids were suitably impressed when I showed them the log.
Signed and returned without any more muggles it's finally time to hit the playground. Thanks Datruk for the cache. Nice work and a favorite from me.

Out on Another Friday night caching run.
At this time of the night it was a quiet stroll to GZ, with no one around I could search uninterupted, I had a look in one spot then waited for the GPSr to settle down, once that was done I spotted something that needed a closer inspection which turned out to be a very nicely constructed cache hide.
Thanks to Datruk for this cache and the work that was put into it.
