This one will be re-activated soon (hopefully) but at this stage the GZ hide looks like being replaced. If it isn't repaired within the next few weeks then I'll redo cords to a nearby structure and change cache size.

On a work trip from Melbourne to Bairnsdale with a muggle colleague, we managed to find time to stop for a couple of caches along the way. This was the first one we stopped at. No problems here - apart from the ants that have taken a liking to the cache container. TFTC, Biggles.
Recent rain meant approach to the cache was very wet. We were actually able to see the cache from 10m away. Tried to improve the hide by covering it a little better. Somehow the container was full of ants. TFTC
On way home from our holiday in Bruthen & Lakes Entrance with Mrs one-eyed , our 4WD and caravan stopped off at this location, very busy hwy, but found the cache okay.
Very well kept area.

Nice rememberance rock, lots of beautiful birds here. We saw 3 yellow tailed cockatoo's fly over head. tftc
Great to see the memory is still honoured even if the trees haven't survived. Thanks
Found this one my to Melbourne. Didn't even need the gps, just thought of a logical place for a hide. Walked over the spot and there it was, nice and easy.

Found this cache on our way home from Lakes Entrance and like others have stated the cache requires some more camo. The log was signed and we were on our way. Thanks to Elmer Stratty for placing this guy.
Quick and easy drive-by cache with Chaplain Mike. Cache was visible on approach so we attempted to cover it properly with the meagre supply of cover available. SL TNLN TFTC!
Quick and easy drive-by cache with Smart Sassy Siren. Cache was visible on approach so we attempted to recover it as best as we could with the cove that was available SL TNLN TFTC!
The coverings were not doing their job very well, but it's in an area few muggles would visit, so the cache was nice and safe.

Reached a point with the GPSr telling me I had to go another 3 metres and I started thinking, I don't have to jump the fence! I looked down and there was the cache at my feet. All good. TFTC
Saw this one from about 10 metres. Nice colour that blends in with surrounds. Covered up. Thanks Elmer Stratty for this nice cache.
Easy find and always nice to stop at a place of local significance. TFTC

Cache check - changed container for new one/different cammo & restocked swaps.
Find #305
On our way home from Lakes Entrance, it was an opportunity for a leg stretch and answer the phone (daughter! ).
I left Geo wife to talk whilst I made a cache find, returning it to the car to fill in the log and do a swap.
Took a lanyard , and left the green car.

Today was day fourteen of our excursion out of Tasmania touring from Melbourne to Canberra and return via Gippsland. After staying in Lakes Entrance overnight we completed some more caching in the town before going to Sale where we spent most of the day. When we came through Sale a little over a week ago, it was raining and we had little time to hunt for caches but today, the weather was fine and we had about five hours to explore this lovely area. Late in the afternoon we drove to Traralgon picking up some more caches along the way. It was a very enjoyable day.
This cache was so exposed that we could see it from about 20m away. After signing the log, we rehid the cache in the same location. TFTC Elmer Stratty

The was a roadwork truck parked just near GZ, and I thought I would have to pass this one by. Luckily, the occupants were around the corner reading the paper and having a cupper so didn't take any notice of me.
Thanks. Robmc.

A quick find on the way through town, cache was easily visible on approach. (I guess some of the nearby residents don't get out much.)

Found by Mary & David at 1335. We certainly remember, and thank these heroes who left from this area to give their lives around the world so that we can be free. Dropped off "Edeltraud - the Sheep" Geocoin. Our thanks to Elmer Stratty.
Found with Irontoad today. Nice relatively quick find at a spot that we would have just gone passed otherwise. Thanks for the cache Elmer_Stratty. Took nothing, left nothing and signed log.
Obviously the land owner never gets to this part of his property as cannot see the cache surviving. TFTC TNLN
Lots of water had made a nice moat near this cache. I was able to leap it and lucky my youngest had gumboots that were just big enough! TFTC Picked up a Geocoin that matches the 2009 Bushfires coin and will take to Perth.
Also must mention my youngest swapped a fluffy dog for a hand clapper and a ball + Crayfish for a skeleton - Think that all works!

Thanks for the chance to stop and have a look.
Thanks for the chance to stop and have a look.
This area was looking nicely maintained with the grass freshly mown, and the cache sitting safely almost in full view behind a little bit of cover. We tried to cover it with whatever we could find. Thanks Elmer Stratty.
Despite the rain, this was an easy find. The cache container was clearly exposed and visible so I covered it up a bit more before leaving. Thanks Elmer Stratty for bringing me here.
Nice quick find on my trip to Bairnsdale. Thanks for the chance to break my journey, and for the cache.
Found with geozilla oz on our way home from our camping/fishing trip to Marlo. No24. TFTC.
Driving east out of the rain, had the rain beat, for a little while at least, then it caught up real fast, started raining on our first port of call, geo-teen spotted this one, when retrieving the cache a rabbit popped out from no-where made the geo-teen scream, the scream must of confused poor bugs cos he did a completed circle of us before disappearing, had to laugh at geo-teen being scared of a rabbit, when I said as much to the teen she was like 'Im not really scared of rabbits, just the wild one's', I had to laugh harder, but I knew what she meant, I think anyone woulda of got a fright at a hairy beast appearing from no-where so quickly, rabbit x1, geo-teen x0. took egg shell and lil' badge Left x2 'magic' marbles, TFTC :}

#1788 Would have loved to have seen the original avenue of trees however we were content with the plaque and information board. Certainly worthy of a cache and in remembrance of what has been sacrificed for us. TNLN, thanks again Elmer_Stratty
After all that rain GZ almost has a moat protecting it. A big leap across, and I was there. Cache intact and dry though. Took shell, left frog.

#1 today and #179 overall. Found today on our way home from the Surf Lifesaving titles at Lakes Entrance and a relaxing weeks stay afterwards. Parked at the memorial plaque and juc_jr#2 made the quick find. We have been stalking micaparamedic around the caches of East Gippsland the last few days and this was no exception..there was his log, a day or two before ours
