Thanks for enticing us to visit Stanthorpe. We had a great weekend and enjoyed your event. Thanks for all the work you must have put in providing all that wonderful food. Yum Razz

12-Jul-10
Had a great time in Stanthorpe much thanks to Team Robins for the event, for the lovely food and beverages provided. It was great to finally get back to Stanthorpe again after many years.

It was good to put faces to new names and to catch up with the regular crowd.

11-Jul-10
Our first event. What a huge weekend, could have snowed though. Heard about Father Christmas coming but I guess we will have to wait till end of the year now. Lots of yummy food from the Master Chefs Kitchen, soups pumpkin and chicken pasta, steak, sausages, bbq spuds, bacon, eggs, cakes, bikkies, more soupppppp. Had a few too many egg noggs but didn't try the mulled wine. Had a FTF thanks to our name being drawn out of bucket. It was good to see a lot of other fellow Geocachers now we can put a face to some of the profiles. Our warmest thanks to our hosts Team Robins for your hospitality and kindness in putting on this wonderful weekend at the Summit

11-Jul-10
What a great weekend. There's nothing like camping onsite, sharing stories - some true, some welllll, putting faces to names and names to non de plumes, sharing a meal and a tipple or two and even making time to find the odd cache. Thank you Team Robins for your generosity and effort to make it happen.

11-Jul-10
Thanks Team Robins for a FANTASTIC event, it was great to catch up with you and everyone else.
The efforts you went to I'm sure were appreciated by everyone and your soups where very yummy as well.
Thank you as well for opening up your home to us all too and also for the fun we had with a few new caches.

10-Jul-10
Thanks Team Robins for organising what turned out to be a great weekend. It was quite enjoyable place to cache and visit.

It was a great evening of food, mulled wine and some interesting fire starting techniques. Would have loved to camp on site but just couldn't convince the rest of the ghostgums clan to bring the camper trailer.

Thanks very much for organising the event. [^]

10-Jul-10
I had fun playing with my friends, and the fire was really good.

Attended with my dad GhostGums and my brother MrMeccano.

Thank You

10-Jul-10
Another great event, and this one marked my 1400th Find, so was quite chuffed. The food and company was great and lots of special treats too. Thanks Team Robins for organising the event and four new caches too.I don't know what I can say about the bonfire that hasn't already been said... just that I'm surprised everyone still has all their eyebrows!!

Great weekend, thanks for the excuse to return to this great part of the world.

10-Jul-10
I think the others in my tribe summed it up pretty well - we had a fantastic time at both the event and the caching in and around Stanthorpe. The kids had fun, we got to see places we'd never been, and catch up with like-minded folks. One of the highlights for me was my little MissGeosie shouting "PAT HIM! PAT HIM!" at George the goat Very Happy Thanks for a great event, Team Robins, we had a ball.

10-Jul-10
Our first official event!! And it was fantastic! Thanks Team Robins for organising and hosting, the soup was yummy and the bonfire was great. Thanks to everyone else for attending and making it so much fun and special mention for Mrs JAT and her mulled wine!!

10-Jul-10
It was very exciting. The food was very good and the bonfire took a long time to light, but was very good. Had good time.

Attended with GhostGums and RoseGums.

10-Jul-10
Came down to our first event, Alkzura, Palopinto, EngPhil and I not really knowing quite what to expect. What we got was a fantastic weekend, organised to perfection by Team Robbins. We got to put lots of faces to names, enjoy wonderful hospitality and do a heap of caches. A special thank you to all the people who helped me juggle our baby who I think was finding the cold a little challenging. He did loooove the puppy though and giggled madly everytime he got crash tackled (they are of a similar size so it looked quite cute). Unfortunately the wheels fell off our boy before the bonfire, but we did get to taste some rocket fuel aka egg nog. Big Grin Many, many thanks for a wonderful event cache.

10-Jul-10
This was our first "official" event cache, and we decided to make it a road trip with EngPhil and Palopinto, and associated kids to visit Stanthorpe and catch up with everyone.
We enjoyed every moment of our trip and every moment of the event. We unfortunately had to depart earlier then expected, as our youngster was a little rambunctious and unable to sleep.
Despite leaving early, I would like to thank Team Robins for putting on a fantastic event, welcoming us into your home and being so hospitable. Oh and the Egg Nog was worth the trip alone!
It was a great event, well organised and it was a great chance to put faces to names.

10-Jul-10
Thank you Team Robins for putting on such a fabulous event and your wonderful hospitality. And thanks all for the birthday wishes. What a way to spend a birthday!

This was my first trip to Stanthorpe and I will definitely be back. The newbie is now hooked on geocaching!!!

10-Jul-10
This was our first ever event cache, and we (Palopinto, Alkzura, NyletaM and I) had a blast. I think the kids did too -- MissGeosie even got to play wit a bouncy puppy, pat some goats, and meet chooks! It was great to meet some new faces (and match them up with names we'd seen time and time again in logs) as well as catch up with some familiar folks as well. The food was tops, the company most excellent and the hospitality just great! Pity we had to skip out on the bonfire due to toddler sleep requirements, but all in all it was a most enjoyable way to spend the afternoon (and the weekend)! Thanks for organising the event, and for your hospitality, Ian and Chris, there's no doubt it was appreciated by all! TFTEC [^] Smile

10-Jul-10
So that's what a cold Christmas is like. I think I'll pass on the snow and stuff, although the food and company couldn't be better [^]. I didn't try the egg nog or mulled wine, but from what I saw, it was kinda intense Wink. Thank you 'Team Robins' for all your efforts. The recalcitrant bonfire was worth the wait, even if it did nearly consume a couple of cachers Big Grin. We even had a FTF on the weekend when our name was drawn out of "the hat". What a great weekend Cool.

10-Jul-10
A great get together. It was good to be able to put faces to names.

Thanks to Team Robins for organising the event. I'm sure it ended up a lot larger than you originally planned but you had things well organised.

Thanks also for pulling my name out of the hat for the FTF on the cache.

31 finds for the weekend with no DNF gives testiment to the quality of the caches that are in the area and in particular the ones placed by Team Robins.

10-Jul-10
Clan Gunnie had a fanstastic time at the event and enjoyed the hospitatility of Team Robins for the weekend... Thanks Team, I am sure there was a hole in that Brandy bottle though... Wink

Great to see many hunters make the trek to the Granite belt for the weekend and make for a really great afternoon / evening. Some new faces as always which is nice. Some familiar faces too and some who took much delight in smirking at my DNF this morning... You know who you are... Twisted

I am sure I left the event carrying a little extra internal baggage.. Surprised How well catered for were we all... Huge thanks to the team for making sure the crowd was more than satisfied.

I did partake in the Mulled wine and a couple of sips of egg nog... Hey, they had good "thermal" properties OK... Big Grin So at the end of a great weekend, Clan Gunnie took to the road having really enjoyed the company, the food and "beverages" and the area.

Fantastic job Team Robins, I can't thank you enough... Big Grin [^] Big Grin [^] Big Grin

We had a terrific time at the Christmas in July Event and experienced the wonderful hospitality of Team Robins who went to a great deal of effort to host such a well organised event. Big Grin Everyone had a great time and some of us tried egg nog and mulled wine for the first time. [^] We enjoyed catching up with some old friends and also getting to know a little more about some of the new teams who are now enjoying caching Smile Thanks for hosting the event Chris and Ian Razz

26-Jun-10
We plan on being there with our little camper - as much as we might like to see a white Christmas, we hope it doesn't snow Wink

23-Jun-10
“Ooooh Bonfire!” exclaimed Mr Co. “No way am I camping in July” responded Mrs Co. “And if we’re going to snow country” chipped in K8, “there should be a log fire”.
So Mr Co hit the internet not realising what a tourism hot spot the Granite Belt is. After spending several days trawling accom sites he has finally found shelter that meets all requests without requiring a second mortgage. Thanks to Katie at the local RE, K8’n’Co will be there with a bag full of snags and marshmallows.

20-Jun-10
Bedmaker and Myness will be attending, see you all there!

14-May-10
Hi Team Robbins..

We will be there 2 adults 1 geochild ...

However we are taking the easy road & staying in more regular (& warmer) accomodation than camping would provide...

Sorted some of the dwindling supply of beds available for that weekend so now just need to maybe search out the warm jackets etc (having stayed in Stanthorpe B4 during winter) - a white event is not out of the realm of possibility (shiver shiver)..

13-May-10
Hallo Team Robin.
We are coming for sure.. three of us
Looking forward to it.
Happy Hunting

11-May-10
Sure I will try my best to come over there and meet you all....
