We missed the road the first time we drove past here, and the second time we spotted it… After a short drive we were at the parking and a short walk later we were at GZ… Quick find.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Team Canary

To help stop the spread of Covid-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to Stay At Home, unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.

While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, exercising has been limited to your Local Government Area or within 10 kilometres of your home. Additionally people are not permitted to leave certain councils except for authorised workers.

Who knows how long this current lock down will last? What I do know, as a health professional, is that every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.

Due to the health authority’s directive, my observations of people breaking the law and finding geocaches outside these rules and the risk that if an infectious person finds one of the caches and another person comes along they could possibly become infected, I have decided to disable this cache and request that no one search for or claim a find whilst this cache is disabled.

Thank you for your co-operation. I look forward to enabling my caches as soon as the Stay At Home orders are relaxed.

Stay safe, Team Canary.

07-Mar-21
After a very successful day in the Mountains finding quite a few caches, 100% success with that and a lot of walking around Narrow Neck to look at wildflowers which were spectacular I decided it was time to head home and stopped here as I'd planned.
I wasn't sure where to park but being as its Sunday I stopped in what appeared to be a carpark for some business. It was empty so it was perfect and only about 200m from GZ.

I walked back towards GZ and did look around as the cache page suggested. An interesting spot.
I checked where the GPS was pointing with no luck. It really liked one spot which looked promising but as there was nothing there I checked a matching spot on the opposite side and there it was. Once again getting the container open was tricky.
That meant 10 finds for the day which I'm satisfied with and it was a great run for the new geomobile!

While coming home from my MILs place, I had a little time to grab some needed caches along the Hwy. This one from TC has plagued my for many months as I drive by. I would just point and stare going, it's there somewhere Smile
Well today, I parked around the corner and walked to GZ with no muggles around. This made searching easier. After a few huffs and puffs to check over and under the railing, I saw the cache peeking out from it hiding spot. Well that was lucky for me. Could have been much harder. I SL and put it back into it's 'camo' for the next finder. TFTC.

Can't get to it due to Bara Cade's unless it's on the bridge but not sure

27-Apr-19
Took us 2 attempts, but after relooking we finally found it! It appears we were looking too hard the entire time as the GPS is slightly off! A lot more wheelchair accessible than we thought!

After an unnecessary risk of hurting ourselves, we eventually found this sneaky little treasure. Very cool!

Thanks for replacing the cache Team Canary. Found it today on the return visit in one of the places we looked before. Great to be able to finally knock this one off.

11-Apr-19
Set out for a days walk in South Hazelbrook to complete the caches in this beautiful part of the world with the other half of Forereach to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary along with Geobrother (Dogwood53). Thank you Tiger for replacing the cache, had no difficulty this time after a DNF last visit. TFTC

Replaced.

02-Mar-19
Checked last night and it’s gone.

Will replace as soon as I can.

01-Mar-19
This is my second unsuccessful attempt at this cache so I thought I should log a DNF. I am curious that some cachers found it easy while others said if was tricky!! I was with two other cachers and we gave it a pretty solid attempt. I will return but in the meantime I will request the CO to check if it is still there.

Spent a lot of time here. Marvel at those who say that this is an easy find. TFTC Anyway

#5597 (1 of 12 today)

I have two aims for today's caching trip.
First, of course, is picking a cache for my 5600 find milestone - need to find three others first, though. The second is to try to grab some caches at above 1000 metres altitude so I can qualify for a challenge cache up Windsor way.

In respect of the milestone:
for the last few I've been choosing a cache placed by great cachers from Sydney (or in this case surrounds, ie Blue Mountains) whose company I've enjoyed.

Then I continued on over the 1000 metre contour line and grabbed eight more finds in Blackheath.

And I found all the caches I went for - except for a muggling out at a bowls club.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Started the day here. Need three before my milestone.

Parked near the bowls club and made my way to the bridge.
Checked what I thought were obvious spots but didn't see it. Then out of the corner of my eye I spotted something.
Gotcha! And larger than I expected.

Completed signing duties and replaced.
Then back down so I could get muggled out by the Croquet players! Oh well.

Yeah, really honestly had no idea what to do. Tried finding it but easily gave up. A hint would be great...not really off to a good start. Tried finding another but couldn’t find that one either...

Found by Mary & David at 1135. Nearly 8 years since your son placed this for his 9th birthday. Does he now think that caching isn't cool any more? Road traffic quite heavy, but quite peaceful at GZ. Our thanks to Team Canary.

Hi there Team Canary.

We found your cache **"Hazelbrook Bridge I"** at 12:11:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 17670).

Today blissbaby was our chauffer - she's a great guide. Her local knowledge is absolutely fantastic, and it is certainly great to be a passenger because, we see a lot more when we aren't driving. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area. The places she took us were fantastic and the views along the ridge line were absolutely spectacular. We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes hidden along the way. Today we found 16 caches (& DNF'd 2). Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

I think its been nearly 3 years since i tried to find this cache. Drove past plenty of times but just didnt get around to stopping. Having caching visitors who want to find caches that neither of have smileys for meant we headed to hazelbrook. We were pleased to find this one after a dnf up the road. Penny made the find in a spot Ian had already looked in...apparently that happens a lot. Tftc
