###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###

----------

This cache is carrying a maintenance log which really does need to be addressed by the cache owner.

The guidelines advise that the CO should make regular visits to check on the cache as well as promptly address any logs that indicate that the cache requires some attention. You need to disable the cache if you cannot attend to it promptly - I have disabled it this time.

**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) by 3rd June?**

If you cannot respond to the situation as requested, please add a note to the cache page detailing the situation **and providing an actual date when you expect the situation to be resolved.** This is to allow others to understand the what is happening - as well as - to prevent the cache from being de-listed as abandoned.

Have a read of the [Geocache Maintenance guideline](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) which explain a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

I also want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing this cache up and running in the future.

**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable ](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

06-May-18
Lovely day to grab some caches while getting the next stage of a multi that started on the other side of town. TFTC 3up

04-May-18
Fairly straightforward find. Less than ideal weather meant all was quiet on the muggle front except some volunteers on the big grey corvette. Log is starting to deteriorate due to missing container lid. TFTC.

30-Apr-18
Nifty hide. Still no lid as previously reported.

**Find #1781**

A great place to visit, Would like to do the ship tour one day. I was too early today. A quick find using the hint. The lid is missing and needs some TLC.

Thanks **3up**

TFTC.

TFTC, fascinating tour of the ship.

21-Apr-18
Missing lid to cache, needs to be replaced before log gets damaged.

19-Apr-18
This was a quick find, there are not too many places to hide a cache here. The lid is missing but the log is fine.

Found after a quick search. TFTC

03-Feb-18
What a beautiful day in the bay.
Cache located quite easily but there is no lid but log is nice and dry thanks to this weather.
Great place

30-Jan-18

Day trip out & a quick find

27-Jan-18
Found on a day trip to Williamstown. Got my fingers on it but it was wedged in tight. Thanks.

10-Jan-18
In Williamstown to pick up our pet bunny from the vet this evening, we decided to have a takeaway dinner in the park here, and while the geokids were tossing around the ol' aerobie post-food, I wandered down the pier to reacquaint myself with the HMAS Castlemaine and see if I could locate this cache.

With good co-ords and hint the hide was located quickly; had to do some loitering to wait out a few strolling muggles before attempting to retrieve the container. A bit fiddly but the shoelace gambit paid off, and the log was duly signed and replaced.

Thanks for the cache, 3up.

07-Jan-18
Super tough with the abundance of muggles, but a great hide! Shoelace trick worked wonders Smile

30-Dec-17

22-Dec-17
Found at last

20-Dec-17
Came looking for this one back in August, and now that the cache has been replaced I came back for another look.
It was nice and quiet on the pier today and there was only a lone fisherman and he was before the Corvette so I had GZ to myself.
A quick search in a few places and I soon spotted the sneaky cache in a great hide.
I must come back here when the Big Grey Corvette is open to have a good look at it.
Thanks 3up TFTC.

16-Dec-17
Found it! Forgot my pen though! in good condition!

12-Dec-17
Cache replaced after a discussion with the cache owner and a previous finder.

25-Nov-17
Spent twenty minutes searching but no luck. My dodgy gps didn't help.

10-Sep-17
Far too many muggles around today and no wonder as it was the first decent Spring weather day we have had. So had to give up looking unfortunately. It's probably there but just too hard today. Cheers

30-Aug-17
Not many people around today
I don't know how many times I tied my shoelaces but I thought I checked everywhere may be another time
Thanks 3up TFTC

02-Jul-17

03-Apr-17
Great hide .

26-Mar-17
Spent ages doing this one. Looked in every imaginable hole on the jetty. Great cache in the end, very rewarding. TFTC.

Walked out towards the end and even with people about we took pictures and what not until Goose just grabbed the cache without anyone noticing, soon added our names to the log and replaced just as easy.

My caching buddy Goose of GooseandEgg had been badgering me to do a trip to Melbourne for awhile now to just do a caching weekend. Well one Friday afternoon I caved in and we started our plans for weekend caching on the mainland.
With so many caches to choose from we spent a fare bit of time coming up with a shortlist, in the end it was a mix of old caches, puzzles and a bit of a numbers run.
Well all our plans went out the window while we were over for our weekend but due to good caching friends we had a great time doing our plan B.

It was a great weekend and my thanks goes out to all the CO's who have placed the caches we searched for, Goose for talking me into it and our other halves for putting up with our madness.

11:51, 12 March 2017, Find #224, Ali and I were out with stainless-steel-rat and gooseandegg from Tassie caching for the day while they are over here for the weekend and we decided to do a few in the Williamstown area (my home town) so local knowledge really helped today.

Ive been up to the Castlemaine many times but not for caching and this one had me thinking... but with a group of us it was found quite quickly by Richard and the log was signed and replaced promptly as there was a few muggles about but he did the old shoe lace trick.

12-Mar-17
The pier was busy. The ferry had arrived from St Kilda, the Castlemaine was open for inspection and let's face it, the weather was fantastic for a wander around the waterfront. We got ourselves close to GZ and I spotted something almost immediately. Surely not? I did the shoelace thing but was protected by a car so had no troubles in grabbing it. I couldn't believe it was that easy, but sometimes it just is!
Boatietim knew a lot about the various boats and waterfront buildings which was great because I bombarded him with lots of questions. TFTC 3up.

Staying in Melbourne for about a week for some sport and of course some geocaching.

28-Jan-17
I was out and about this afternoon chasing bits of a few long-distance multis with the final objective of ending up in Albert Park. With a multi stage in Williamstown to find, as it was such a pleasant afternoon I took the opportunity to find this cache while I was here. A rather quick find even though there were muggles everywhere...although making my fine after closing time helped keep the numbers down.

Thanks 3up for the cache.

26-Jan-17
In Williamstown for the night and thought it would be remiss not to try and get at least one cache while over here. Not being a massive city cacher, it's a bit tricky to time caches in populated areas. I was out wandering with friends after dinner and thought i would attempt this one as it didn't seem as popular a pier at this time of the evening. Thankfully i quickly spied what i was after and soon the log was in hand. It seemed relatively full, maybe, with a few bits of paper - but i tried to just write initials somewhere as i didn't feel comfortable unravelling all the paper to find free space (in case i dropped it). All good here and returned it as found. Thanks for placing it here and enabling me to get a cache. \o/ Smile

15-Jan-17
Found it! Continuing our walk after fish 'n chips off the pier, we walked on the pier and stopped for a rest at GZ. Cache was soon in hand. TFTC SL Smile

I had an awesome day in Williamstown. Third visit here but first since starting this Geocaching.

Not many people around so I made good use of the opportunity to snatch up this hide.

The two log sheets were full so I popped a nano log inside.

The Pocket Query hadn't saved onto my GPS properly for some reason so I was having to make do with my iphone. It narrowed the coords down enough that I only had to check a few items before getting my hands on it. It also meant I didn't have enough battery to complete all the multis here, so another visit to this beautiful location is in my near future.

Thanks 3up!

05-Mar-16

Half way through our day of Williamstown geocaching and after an rejuvenating luncheon break, julesc21 and I headed down the jetty to find this one. We must have looked suspicious because one the staff members on the big grey corvette called out 'Are you looking for that button thing?'! We sheepishly admitted that indeed we were and she pointed us in the general direction. It was a quick find by julesc21 after that. TFTC!

Looked over the ship on Sunday, then next day realised there was a cache the to be found.
Quickly found when I returned monday morning, but had to wait for a lady to finish taking 57 selfies before I could return the cache to its hiding spot.
Thanks 3up

21-Nov-15
Got off the ferry and quickly went to do this cache. Took a little longer than expected but soon headed in the right direction and looked down and found it, just a a muggle volunteer on the nearby grey tourist attraction called out asking if we were lookng for the container. She asked a few questions as no one took the time to tell her about this awesome hobby. TFTC

10-Nov-15
Found this with OrionJ while waiting for the ferry back to Melbourne. TFTC
