A quick find out collecting a few caches while house sitting at North Beach,TFTC
A trip up to do the Big Question Mark with OZGrumpy and Astro. A short break from the Question Mark, went back to nature, then returned again.
Thanks sunphyl for placing this cache and for the ongoing maintenance. Find #10842 on 9/11/2024 at 3:35PMThree of us headed north to collect a few smileys. Our target was the BigQ and also collect anything else we found along the way. Signed logs as TOAD (Team Ozgrumpy Astro doineedthis). A great day out, Thanks to all the COs for their time and effort.
**Found by Snap Happy** Out and about with GoodLook and TheDame as we headed to Yorke Peninsular for the night. Today we met up with CPWanderer, GizmosGang, Mogni, SirSpectre, JJS2, TK2, Plesiosaur22, TubbyBooBoo, JeffEddy, Martini989, Tweety2, TravelinBees, AllisterW, Northstar76, Superman22, LiB, Earthlight, Shandyk, SpiderMonkeysMum and FrogHoppin. Our caching name today was *"Siren Seekers"*. Logs were either stamped or signed with this group name or 'SS' depending on the size of the log and container. After the nearby early morning CITO, it was time to hit the road. The teams streamed out of the starting gates in search of this fabled marine creature with the head and upper body of a human being and the tail of a fish - They apparently loved music and often sang. Well, the only music today was from the radio in the car and the occasional 'found it' before making our way onto the next in the series and the few occasional and scattered caches along the way. Most caches were found quickly with a couple needing a longer search but all found. Caches were all in good condition unless otherwise stated. The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual COs, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals dont know about. I, like most cachers, look for more than a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most COs take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. **I love traveling this big land of ours.** I love taking the roads less travelled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own.The weather was lovely and a sunny but cool 19C . The vistas stunning and I particularly love the bright yellow fields of canola (especially if they had old buildings in them). The coffee shops and bakeries wonderful and the company fabulous. Many laughs ensued as we made our way North West.I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues. Thank you sunphyl for highlighting this area and for providing this game piece for our enjoyment. Thanks for the history lesson too. Appreciate your efforts. - PMany thanks sunphyl for the fun and laughs.**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. *Took:* Nothing*Left:* Nothing.Cache on! **#19519**
A nice cache to find in amongst all of the other caches found today, log was signed SS.------------------------------------------------What an amazing weekend to be on the Yorke Peninsula with the gorgeous Snap Happy and the beautiful TheDame. We then met up with a great group of people doing what we do best - CACHE!!!Today we attended a CITO in Paskeville and then we all went off to complete the Siren of the Sea geo-art, find a few other caches in the area and we then finished with The Big Question series. What a fantastic series Siren of the Seas is - most of the hides were quickly found, but a few required a longer look.We cached with CPWanderer, GizmosGang, Mogni, SirSpectre, JJS2, TK2, Plesiosaur22, TubbyBooBoo, JeffEddy, Martini989, Tweety2, TravelinBees, AllisterW, Northstar76, Superman22, LiB, Earthlight, Shandyk, SpiderMonkeysMum and FrogHoppin. To save room in the log books our caching name today was "Siren Seekers" = "SS".-------------------------------------Thanks so much for taking the time to place this cache for us to enjoy finding.
What a great day it was. Working with quite few teams today the team name is siren seekers. Put a photo of all the names on here. Thanks for place these. What a fun day but now Im so tired. Connor_2011 was with me too.
What a day out!! Started with a CITO at Paskeville with many from the previous nights dinner event in Moonta. Many others had driven over from Adelaide for a fun day out. Logged as SS Gotta love a smiley face on the map. Thankyou for placing and maintaining it. TNLNSL
Found it! Quick find once at GZ, drove in along the side road from the south and found that the track became too narrow for a normal car. Pushed through anyway but probably have a few extra stripes to show for it. Headed north after a FTF and 2TF in Alford this morning. TFTC!
On a trip to Port Broughton for a Park Run event and weekend away camping, with some coffee and lunch in us, we went caching! Thanks for the cache!
Replaced container here as it was missing from its hidey hole. This weekend Courtneyrose_ and I headed to the Copper Coast for a night away, our plan was to attend parkrun at Port Broughton followed by a nice day out on the bikes completing the larger section on the Copper Rail Trail from Wallaroo to Moonta. A nice night away with nearly 100 finds for the trip. Thanks for the cache
Found the camouflaged spot where the cache should have been, and a stray pen on the ground, but the container was nowhere to be seen needs some maintenance
TFTC. Day 8 of honeymoon caching trip. Headed in a northerly direction from our base of Wallaroo.

While staying in Wallaroo for a short visit we decided to head north and grab a few caches along the way.
Today was the first day we’ve come across any flies since last Autumn, not in thick numbers but I’m sure they’ll build up quickly.
We also came across a large brown snake sunning himself on some rocks at one of the caches we visited. We promptly abandoned the search for that one very quickly
Many thanks for the hide sunphyl

Came out here for a drive in the sun to find some older geocaches I've never got around to looking for!
This one would've been cool when published 12 years ago. Also it is now showing severe wear on the cammo.
Cache still works though.

Thanks

Yay time a Wednesday wander., for the befuddled Puzzlers. The group consisted of the Rat,a starfish, the Starman and the Adder.
We started from the Rat's den, then Two Wells, Avon then over to the top of the Yorkes and further north.
Our plan was to find Puzzles, multi's, trads and any DNFs.
A quick find at GZ, for the Befuddled Puzzlers.
We stamped the logbook, replaced the cache where we found it.TFTC

Another Wednesday wander for the befuddled, this time the targets were a number of newly published puzzles and multi caches at the top of the Yorke Peninsula and further north with a few previous DNF's on the agenda.
With a full crew of a Starfish, Rat, Adder and a stargazer we met at the Rat's den at 9am for a long day with our final celebrations at the Bentley Hotel in Clare.
As always, all caches were visited and signed by all members of the group or each member had a part to play in retrieving the prize.
All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.
A quick find at GZ, cache safe and sound.
Thank you for the cache %CacheName sunphyl, found 1/06/2022

Our last day on the Yorke Peninsula as we head to Port Augusta and the beginning of the long trek West. TFTC Team Firesafe
Good hide. Enjoyed this one. Beautiful clean bush when you get away from the main roads.
Today we cached between the Barunga Range and Port Broughton . The day was moving on by now, so we started to zig-zag around to the south , picking up caches in the farming areas in the general direction of home .
Overshot the track, so hacked a uey to shorten the drive .
Nice hide. TNLNSL.
Thanks for another one Sunphyl.

So we were all set to fly to Dayboro for the Queensland Mega this weekend. There hadn't been a case in Qld for a quite a few weeks before we decided to book in early Feb. What are the chances of a case causing a lockdown and closing the border we thought..So when it all did happen just 4 days before we where due to leave, we were royally peed off. So we had to cancel and find somewhere else to spend Easter. Pt Broughton was a last minute choice so here we are at the Broughton Bay RV park. After having brekkie in the Cafe and looking around the markets we headed out to do a few around the district. I expect at the time of the placing this one the camo would have been very cool, sadly it is falling apart and rather than doing what its supposed to do, it is very obvious. TFTC
We were supposed to head off on holidays on Friday but one thing lead to another and then 2 x 40 degree days forecast so we decided to head off today rather Than yesterday.
It was flipping hot!!
We could not book into a camp site so decided to head towards port broughton and see what eventuated. We had a fun day, avenged a few prior dnf and enjoyed some icy cold beers at the Bond Store Wallaroo (can’t recommend enough) and then ended up free camping in PB. So incredibly hot TG for the genny and AC.
Fun start to life in the camper van!
This one took a while to locate not sure this would be allowed now TFTC

A day off from work had me off to the north west with Purrfect Di and Jack...
A few random caches to be found along the way - this was one of the lucky ones
Realistically it was a stinking hot day, with hoards of icky flies, harsh winds, and smoke filled skies from the KI bushfires
But we still had a good time hopping in and out of our air conditioned geo mobile!
Amazingly almost ten years after placement, there was still a kangaroo nearby !

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
This morning, the back farm roads from Port Broughton are the target. Everything is looking so green at the moment. Mostly Wheat, and some canola flowering in the distance.
Walked in the from the wrong spot, as we left, we saw where we should have parked.
Good container, cute tin, well cammoed. Thanks sunphyl

Our last day after a week on the yorke, heading home via the Clare event, very tired and in need of a shower without sand. TFTC
We left Esperance 3 days ago for the Yorke Peninsular after 4 months spent mainly enjoying the warm weather up north. It’s been a bit of a let down since we reached Perth and the weather cooled right down. The sun is thinking about coming out today, and we’re cheering it on. Tomorrow we aim to start on our adventure trying to pick up as many caches as we can before heading back home to Victoria in the last week of September.
We set off early from our overnight stop just south of Port Germein and started finding caches as we travelled south to Maitland, our destination for a few days as we set out on the power trails.
Not great parking for us with the van, but we did manage to pull over safely.
Great hide a bit of the worse for wear

Owl was flying north to meet up with Sushilord in Port Augusta for an epic adventure. Via Moonta. (There was a reason, honest!) This was a cache on the way out of the leg and a nice little walk. No kangaroos, but Owl did startle a bunny. Took a while to find the cache, as her GPS refused to settle down. The cache has seen better days, but the area is lovely.
We have commenced Part 2 of our holiday. Part 1 was Easter at Morisset and we came home to sort out some family business. Now we are heading to South Australia instead.
After a comfortable night in the Port Broughton caravan park which was worth the trip alone for we set off to visit Wallaroo via some backroads. We set off for the day picking up caches as they popped up. What a great story - had never thought of selling land back.

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.
All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!
Today our trip continued from Port Augusta to Port Vincent. On a way we visited beautiful Weeroona Island, spend some time at Port Pirie, visited Moonta's himalayas and found many caches on the way.

What a great hide, we really enjoyed it on a very cold and wet day - it was a bright little spot in the day! Thanks sunphyl.
On our way up to Pt Broughton on a wild and wooly day we stopped off here to grab this one on the way.
Had a nice walk in to GZ with the geopup. Looked at lots of different trees trying to spot a cache and it wasn't until I turned around and saw something not quite right...and yes it was the cache.
