09:54Day three of our stay in the Macedon Ranges area and a trip to Bendigo to visit geocaching friends from another era, also to run a maintenance check on a few of our own caches. All being fine here....*This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
In Bendigo with my girls for the Hockey JSC over 3 days Saturday to Monday staying at a lovely motel on the main street. Getting out on caching adventures in the breaks between games and in the evenings. Enjoying the wonderful sights and sounds of Bendigo by day and by night which in some places makes the experience all the more magical. It was time to leave Bendigo today and drive back home. Along the way we geocache hopped from one to the other, stopping occasionally as the road allowed. My daughter made the find here and then sat of the railway bridge asking for a photo to be included in our log. This was to be our last find for the day as we are all now too exhausted to stop and look for any more caches. Nice one to finish on.Thank you for the cache here Phetlern
Travelling with my wonderful chauffeur icybeetas, whist participating in the Great Victorian Cache Crawl between Malmsbury to Bendigo, this was a short detour to locate this cache.Caught up with cathud here. Thanks for placing this nice sized cache here Phetlern, your absence from this annual series of events was noticed.Happy caching!
Attending events associated with the Great Victorian Cache Crawl I exited the freeway to get this and other caches. On the way to the cache I met cathlud who had just found it. Thank you Phetlern for the cache which enabled me to have a break in my journey and to add a smile to my map.
Travelling from Malmsbury to Bendigo as part of 'The Great Victorian Cache Crawl' I exited the freeway to find a few caches that wouldn't involve long walks in the rain. After finding a safe parking spot I made the short walk along the road and then up the track to find this nicely sized cache.Thank you Phetlern for this cache.
Having finished our appointments back at home we set off this morning to return to Bendigo where we had left our van. It was a big day with caches and Ad Labs on our way, but they took us to some good things we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Phetlern.**SKI Pair****
**Sat, 27 Apr - 10:50**Container replaced. Thanks to 'nessie123' and 'Zimmy_Zapper' for the heads up.
Find 5157 on April 3, 2024Found on our way home from the Capital Geobash. Today we travel from Echuca to Ballarat. Nice quick find in a quiet out of the way spot. One thing to note is the container is starting to warp. Might not be waterproof for too much longer. TFTC Phetlern
Out exploring country Victoria and made our way here. Cache found quickly but could do with a better clipping container as the cockroaches are moving in. Log signed. We're living on the road and using geocaching to discover interesting places. Thanks for bringing us here
Tftc; found on a weekend roadtrip to Murray Bridge and back with lilbassgirl. Logging all caches day after end of trip; individual logs done by lilbassgirl previously with me driving between caches, sights, accomodation and the show we went to.
Tftc, found with fourtwelve on our roadtrip to Murray Bridge. Number 2 for today
Plenty of cockroaches in container due to container starting to fail due to weather. Cleared out all the cockroaches and tried to clean up the container as best we could.
Found while back at home with mum, few little friends crawling around in the cache
Thanks Phetlern for placing this cache and contributing to this great game. Nice old bridge nearby. Heading to Bendigo but at the rate I’m going, not sure if I’ll get there.. just one more …Happy trails, Deanside
A short detour off the freeway whilst on the way to Bendigo for a few days. A quick find. Cache is in good condition. Thanks for the enjoyment

Visiting Castlemaine for the afternoon with Bogonghazy. Quick find. Thanks for placing the geocache
I have been Geocaching for the last year as part of team Dromaniax. We have enjoyed the Geocaching caching around a lot of Victoria in that time. From our first trip up to the Murray River, the next trip to Lake Eildon and the area around Buxton, an epic trip to the Little Desert to attack the This is SA series, then a great trip with our father to the High Country in Victoria, a trip to the Mornington Peninsula and a trip to the Albury-Hume Reservoir area.
I finally decided to set up my own account and am claiming all the caches I have found as part of Dromaniax.
Thank you for this Traditional cache Phetlern.

Sun came out for us to look for this one. By terrain 2 do you mean you have to navigate a red back nest? Lol. Apologies for not signing the log. Maybe next time when I have leather gloves
Guarded by Red Back spiders yeeks! Early Halloween experience lol. Thanks for the cache Phetlern
A leisurely drive to KF for groceries. Many thanks. Container isn't sealing well & lots of damp-loving critters have moved in.

Located with chick614. Good hide. Out of sight area. Didn't take out. Spider webs.
Well, we had packed up camp and were heading home by a reasonably circuitous route with a number of caches on the target list today. We have an annoying Mystery cache within our 5km radius and it requires a visit to six other caches. We have two and our journey today was taking us close to the Northernmost three, so there was no way we were going to miss them. This one required a short detour off the Calder, but made out trip to the other two quite simple as they were on our way home. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache Phetlern.
A quick find on my return trip home along the old Calder hwy. cache is missing one clip and may soon not be waterproof however all is good at the moment.I kept thinking cars were approaching but it was just the nearby freeway. TFTC
Just missed seeing the steam train pass through pity would of been a good sight, found quickly signed and replaced...TFTC
I started today fairly seedy. I had enjoyed some port around my campfire the previous night and not got going as early as I had hoped. But I had decided to just amble along.
Drove all the way up to gz. Found the cache easily. My 3rd Phetlern cache ever.

TFTC. We have largely left Harcourt alone from a caching perspective. When we come though we are generally in a hurry to get home to Maryborough. Today we decided to rectify a blue face in Taradale and then spend some time caching in the area around Harcourt.
It was only by accident we noticed a clue for another cache. took note of it for possible future find.

Heading to St. Arnaud for the mega event next month. Day 61 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 7 for the day and 1731 for the trip. TFTC
It has been a while since Neville_devil, AusFox; and myself have been out for a big caching trip but today was the day that would change as we headed up the Calder for some caching in the Bendigo direction.
One the way home AusFox; reminded me about the three caches needed for a mystery back home so a plan was hatch to grab all three to complete the set of six that I started so long ago.
A quick stop here as AusFox; turned the car around Neville and I mad the find under the cover of darkness.
Thank you Phetlern for the hide and sorry for the late logging time gets away sometime when life gets busy

My first time caching in the Castlemaine area today and so many caches to choose from to find. So I narrowed it down to firstly today's event, some Mystery caches, some of Vic's 500 Oldest Caches later in the day and as it turned out this one for the COs Seaview Mystery cache series. By coincidence I found one in this series earlier in the day and when looking on the map and seeing where the others in this series were It was no trouble to head North of town to grab this one as well.
