#5647 Likewise we are heading west today. But not for a family funeral. RIP wheres wolly sharons uncle. We are heading this way for more fun times as part of a big adventure travelling from NE Victoria with our geohounds. TFTC.
An easy park and grab. Found just before the rest area began filling with muggles.
Find number 13684 at 12:22:42PM on Tuesday the 27 August 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leasurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back. After spending last night at On Top Of The Ridge free camp at Madura we headed west again in the morning, not sure how far we'll get today (but probably just past Balladonia), just driving, caching and golfing A nice quick find as we headed west down the road.**Thanks for placing this cache wheres_wolly_sharon**---*WOW, so much happening here in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.
I had the pointer on the other side of the tree, but checked this unique feature out first and retrieved the tin. TFTC
Located easily, but took a little to unweb the rock and hole before I put my hand in! The old shelter and watermarks, some still out here it seems, just.Timings worked well that heading towards Norseman when a new series of caches were published. We picked up a few the evening before then set up camp. This morning we continued on with a few more *FTF* s on our way into town, fueled, made the phone calls home and head off along the long road east. Plenty of opportunities to stop for caches and juggle the different ALs along the way. Stopped at Mundrabilla for fuel and dinner. Very quiet late at night and a bit of a chat with the local couple working there, amused at our footwear solutions antics. The blowhole along the way, and telegraph station at Eucla were great stops. Crossing into SA and camping on one of the many free camps on the cliff tops overnight. Thanks for your cache.
Stopped here as Im plotting a lab cache along Auss longest straight road. And look! Theres a cache to find Quick find and opportunity for a stretch TFTC
As we gradually head our way east after having a wonderful holiday in the west, we stopped here to stretch our legs and take a short walk into GZ where we found a clean dry log book in a likely spot. All good, dry and safe here. Our name has now been added to the logbook. Thanks wheres wolly for the diversion and leg stretch along the way. Domsky
What's better than finding a mint tin.. ? Finding two, a couple of metres apart. Now I don't usually look for another cache when I've already found one but here we both found one. And I thought finding a cache might shake the never ending straight road fuzziness.. TFTC wheres_wolly_sharon.
On our travels we found ourselves heading west and took the opportunity to grab some caches on the way, this was a nice quick find and a good place to stretch the legs, thanks for placing it
Heading west is exactly what we are doing. Home to the SW of WA after attending The Great Leap Forward Mega event in Adelaide on 29 February. After spending a wet and windy night at Madura Pass Lookout it was time to keep moving west. So glad lots of room to bring the van in. A nice easy findTFTC
After spending a few days in Gawler it was time for to drive my mums (well my car now) from Gawler back to Perth. This was day three travelling from Border Village to Norseman on a 5 day 3,100km adventure. It was very bleak and cold morning and had rained a lot during the night. The temp did get somewhat better later in the day. There are hundreds of signs saying do not drive tired so geocaching helped with that.I proceeded to the border check and as i was prepared with completed paperwork the fine man was suitably impressed and and it took him about 2mins to check my car and a quick chat and i was on my into WA. The border man said that nobody ever turns up with paperwork which impressed him greatly.I trucked on across the beautiful scenery grabbing caches. This cache was a very quick find. Thanks for the cache whers wolly sharon.I am intrigued by your description that you were on your way to WA for your uncles funeral in a hollow log on the ground. Must have been interesting. Oh this is my 3,000th cache find woohoo.
Found as we made our way westward along the Eyre Highway searching for caches that I'd passed by on previous trips. By the end of this drive I'll have found all the caches in proximity to the highway, with just a few outliers remaining for another time. Thanks for the cache wheres wolly!

On a big road trip to Perth - Brim, Paruna, Murray Town, Kooma View Farmhouse, Penong, Nullarbor Roadhouse, Mundrabilla Roadhouse, Caiguna Roadhouse, Norseman, Kalgoorlie and Wave Rock. Today we were travelling from Caiguna to 10 mile rocks and we stopped in here on the way to stretch our legs and find the cache. Again Mr. Pooky was able to drive to within a few metres of the cache, and it was Mrs Pooky who jumped out of the Geo4WD and made the find. TFTC to break our long journey. TNLN.
TFTC JENPETEH, The H,s , South Africans living in Tassie GeoCaching our way around Australia and loving it

This one feels like it hasn't been found in ages even though it has. Loads of spider webs but quick smash and cache
#2464 - Visiting the west coast all the way from the east coast, enjoying the wildflowers and everything else that comes our way, including geocaches.
We're on our way back and visiting some caches that we couldn't do on the way in. Nice easy find.

We missed this cache when heading west, as our car had broken down at Cocklebiddy, and we were being towed to Norseman. We had no problem picking this one up when heading back east.
It was appropriate to find this cache as I indeed was heading west.

Stopped for lunch and just as we were about to leave I decided to check after much my husband waited xx
I spent the night here - great quiet spot at the back, although I’m assuming it’s very quiet everywhere across the Nullarbor right now with many state borders currently closed.
Another familiar CO! First cache of the day when I woke up in the morning.
I had no internet on the day, logging a few days later - I think I replaced the mint tin here.
Thanks for yet another cache wheres wolly.

Tftc nice quick stop to stretch our legs,,heading east. Rest stop has been blocked off to campers (perhaps because there are no toilets there?).
We travelled from Portland Victoria across to WA to see our daughter in Perth. Now we are slowly heading home via Yallingup, Denmark and Esperance.
After a couple of days of terrible weather in Esperance we tried to wait out the storm and follow it across the Nullabor. We need to do some big miles so not much chance for caching.
Thanks for showing us this part of the world wheres wolly
