*The Wes's Tiger Line Catch Up Adventure #4*
Oh, thank goodness we found one. I was worried the whole point of the trip was going to crash and burn. And I really didn't want to have to use a line like "Marooned at Murroon".
Thanks heaps, vp4!

I think the weather has beaten us for today, a quick last one on the way home for a dryoff.
Nice easy find this morning while heading home from visiting friends. The cache is nice and dry and in good condition
A beautiful scenic drive all the way here. Nice quick pickup, watching for traffic but very little on these back roads today.
With MazzyMay in our travels we stopped by this series and had a good time working our way through. TFTC.
Dippa46 and I traveled up from a Apollo Bay where we were holidaying for a few days. We decided to try and find this 8 cache series and were not disappointed. The story behind the caches was most interesting. Thanks for placing these caches for us to find.
Those new sistema boxes are hard to open! Thanks, it was dry even after lots of overnight rain.
Surprisingly quite a few cars passed us as we were looking for this cache. Found it quickly. Well hidden. Cache in great condition. Trade made. TFTC
Found with teamashy. A bit of drizzle and mud around GZ. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Finally back to the Otways and the first cache was this one that we failed to find previously. This time we were successful straight away. Hard to see the railway line here. Thanks for the series and the maintenance work you do.
Great find out on a beautiful hot summer day. Out camping and thought we would grab a cache along the way. Thanks so much for the cache.
The caches along the line were coming thick and fast
A stop here by the unmarked rail crossing soon had me a cache found
TFTC.

Another one found on our way to Geelong after visiting our brother in Apollo Bay for Christmas.
Spending a day in the Otway and exploring the route of this abandoned railway. TFTC vp4
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.
I like it

Great series. Always a bonus when you can actually tell where the railway actually was. TFTC and for showing us this rail trail.
Quick find which was great as the local council folk filling potholes were starting
To get a bit sis’s every time
They caught up with us again lol

Another quick grab on our way to Geelong. Which was nice on a hot day. Not much time away from the AC. TFTC VP4.
A sunday drive from Melbourne down to Forrest to do the Lake Elizabeth earthcache.
We decided your Tiger Line series was nicely positioned for us to attempt on the way to the earthcache.
This is the spot where we were wondering where the train ran until we looked at the satellite image and it was very clear. Amazing what a different perspective can show.
Interesting name. I wonder where it came from?
TFTC vp4 and for breaking up the long drive for Melbourne for us!

If it wasnt wet and muddy i would have been able to reach this one in my wheelchair but as there was deep tractor mud marks i sent half muggle mum off to grab it for me.
Walked right up to it this time. Much easier with less grass to contend with. Tftc
Haven't ventured out this way for quite a while, but decided this was the morning to turn some green boxes into smileys. Took me a while to find the right road into Murroon - why is it still listed as a town with its own postcode? Once on the right road (main street?) it was a quick find for my 2500th cache. TFTC
GPS was patchy and we drove psdt a few times before finding somewhere suitable to park. Had the container in hand in seconds. Off to Pennyroyal. TFTC!
Found at 12:11 PM GAFF3.
Nearly gave up on this one as the grass has grown so much around here that it totally covered the hide. Also it is closer to a stump than a tree
Thanks vp4.

Murroon, beautiful piece of countryside. Stopped at the nearby winery for a sample and bought three wines. Seems like he is selling the property.
Found while in the area hoping to obtain the final 4 caches in the series to collect the final, nice quick find before heading to the next one

Out picking up a couple we missed last time we were down this way.
Starting to get a bit cold now so they are quick stops.
Log signed and we are off again.

One Family - One Ferry Ride - This Way To The Otways Trail - 3000th Cache
Saturday saw us board the 9am Ferry from Sorrento to Queenscliff, the smooth trip and views were the highlight. Leaving Queenscliff we made our way to Mount Moriac finding a few caches on the way before starting the caching in earnest. We had lunch at Moriac before winding our way to Barwon Downs gathering caches along the way. We found our 3000th cache then headed home grabbing a few caches on the way, arriving home in time to catch the Storm v Panthers game!!!
Even though we fell seven caches short of completing the trail, time was getting away from us. We had a great day with many a laugh and stirring. I am sure the area was echoing with "Found It!!" screamed out as Katy and Campbell's competitive juices flowed. I am sure I heard from the drivers seat at one stage hearing found it x 2, jinx x 2, double jinx, bounce off the roof, doh, followed by hysterics. Another incident was Campbell pushing past Katy to find a cache, to be pushed away himself, falling backwards on a tussock landing on his butt!!
We had a blast all day finding caches and thank the owners for hiding them for us to find!!!

2nd find for today on the 3rd day of our road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide via the great ocean road. We will of spent 9 days travelling between Melbourne and Adelaide with many of those days being in the vicinity of the great ocean road using earth caches to guide us through this geological wonderland.
OMG the road we took from Apollo Bay was the scariest 1 way road through forest there is, but we survived.

Out with Darth Briji for a day of caching.
I'm enjoying seeing the old route of the Tiger Line, a piece of history that is hidden away.
Darth made quick find here.

As I was only 75 smilies from 2000, and 2 days left of the Year, I decided to hit the "This way to the Otways" trail, the Tiger Line trail and a few others that looked like quick grabs to get the big numbers before the new year.
A 14hour solo round trip with only me, ute, GPSr and a selection of music to keep my sanity.
I left home just before 7.30am and got back home almost at 9.30pm and had travelled 628ks
A quick grab that took some time to get back in its hide. as I had grabbed the cache and taken back to my ute to write down the info, when I was ready to place it back, this small little road turned into Burke Street, when the coast was clear I had it back and I was on my way back on the trail.

Found the cache tucked away in its little nest. I was quite envious of the boxes peaceful location, would like to sit there too for a couple of days!
Found this in the rain. Tucked away safe and dry, shame I can't say the same about myself after the find. Tftc
Out in a caching/ maintenance run with geordiefamily. This was one of the caches we visited on the way back home.
Will have to come back one day to complete this series. TFTC

Quick drive by whist doing a few caches with dbelco. Hoping to finish the series soon. Spot on coords. Tftc.
I am being spoilt here this morning. The scenery is just amazing. A bit slippery here, nearly took a tumble !! TFTC vp4.
Beautiful sunny day for caching around Colac-Otway country to find The Tiger Line series.
Enjoy these beautiful country.
Thanks for the hunting and cache

Found today while cruising around the region. Thanks for the cache. I liked it!
Mrs Crackers joined alansee and Liz & Bruce for a trip to the Otways to pick up the rest of the series that we hadn't found as yet before going to the event tonight.
The Tiger Line was also in our sights as we were traveling passed, this was another quick stop, grab and record the information before moving along to the next one
Thanks again for the cache.

A top day with a couple of other teams with a high level of geocaching addiction, namely Alansee and Di from Team Crackers. Loads of fun, the rain was a light drizzle most of the day so not too bad. This was one of the caches we targetted and were able to find. Thanks to vp4 for placing this cache.
Geo kids went to wrong side of road, geo mum went correct side. Mum found cache. Kids not happy. TFTH
Great outing with friends today. Kids jumped out of car quickly determined to get this one before adults did. But went to the wrong trees...
Glanville Girls made the find here. All signed, took the clue and moved on.
Caching today with Motndarg, Glanville Girls and Tomstache, our aim was to finish our adventure that we started earlier this year. Our plan was to have lunch in Birregurra (where we met up and collected Rehfisch Clan, $doo and Storm_horse) and then incorporate the the Tiger Line into our caching plan. An overnight stay in Forrest made for a fantastic weekend.

Glanville Girls made the find. Cool cache. Got the clue.
Great full on day of caching. Love to do it again, lots of interesting caches in this area. Caching with Motndarg, Glanville Girls, McLookers for This Way To the Otways Series and then Rehfish Clan, $doo and Storm_horse joined us for The Tiger Line Series.

Out on a caching run today with McLookers, Tomstache and Motndarg. Our plan was to find all of the 'This Ways to the Otways' series starting at Winchelsea and making our way to Forrest. After lunch in Birregurra we were joined by Storm_horse, The Rehfisch Clan and $doo and we diverted to the Tiger Line Series.
The kids wanted to find this one before the adults, but unfortunately they bailed out of the cars and headed to the wrong side of the road!

After tidying up a couple of pieces of unfinished business in Geelong, we headed west to the road to the Otways to tackle both the "This Way To The Otways" series and the "Tiger Line" series. We anticipated that we would run out of time to look for them all today but we had left an opportunity to return early tomorrow to complete any that we may have left from today. One of us has a strong affinity for rail, especially steam, as a parent worked as a driver for the Tasmanian Railways. So, we were really loking forward to this series. As we worked through the various caches, we came to appreciate the different style of puzzle - very enjoyable as the data was woven into a story about the happenings at each of the stations.
Again the long grass at this location had us banging sticks to ward off any wrigglers. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache and the series vp4.

# 5703. Robmc had picked today as the coolest day of the week to go out on a caching run. After yesterdays searing heat we were glad to be heading to the Otways......
We completed the Otways Series and as Rob had done this series at an earlier date he kindly stopped along the way so that I could find these as we headed north. So, they were done in reverse order. Really enjoy old rail line caches and feel it is such a shame that in most towns there is nothing to show for this once bustling mode of transport., except for "Station Street" and "Railway Avenue" in the strangest places.
A bit harder to see where it crossed here but nice views of paddocks full with tight, round haybales. Left one of my Yellow Bicycle Pathtags here.
Thanks vp4

A quick find during a full days caching with 6hinemoa2. The idea & execution of this series was brilliant. I will give a favourite for this. Thank you vp4.
I can't get my head around the station name here. The road was in perfect condition today and the country side very pleasant.

Day 3 of our Wurdiboluc holiday and we are keen to finish off the nearby Otways trail today but we took some time to collect a couple of the tiger line series as well. I hope we get back to complete the series.
