Needs maintenance - cache is gone...
Good location so hope it gets back online soon.

We were spotted by fellow cachers on this one who had found the cache previously. They were nice enough to come over from packing up their camp site to help out with the find. After a quick search, they confirmed that this one had been muggled, so no smiley for us today
On our return trip home from camping on the great ocean road, had to use the inland detour as the road to lorne was blocked due to bush-fires... which gave us the opportunity to grab caches in the Ottways.
Found this one reasonably quick, just took a little longer to sign as log book was wet.

Find #1581
A big day of lone caching focussed mainly on this 'This way to the Otways' series. This was one of 79 finds in total for the day. Having been to late for food at the Forrest be pub I consoled myself with a beer and a take away pie. After that it was back to caching and I headed to this local one after ocnpleting the long series down this way. A good hide but the hint was helpful and I was lucky enough to make the find. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables that I am carrying on the way to the Melbourne mega event. Thanks heaps for the cache vp4. I hope to come back to complete the series one day.

Mrs ReganSeekers & I celebrate our birthdays 3 weeks apart. This year we turn the big Three-Zero so we felt a child-free Geocaching road trip was the perfect way to celebrate. We decided that we would head for the Otways & complete the Series as well as any others we passed then head to Geelong via the Coast.
With the series complete this arvo, we set our sights on a few others before retiring to our motel in Apollo Bay.
We encountered some Muggles here but managed to sneakily spot, grab, sign and replace the container before heading off. Unfortunately this was the only one of this series we nabbed this trip but will be back sometime to finish it off! TFTC

Joined up with becca85 for a caching road trip weekend, after completing the Otway trail we made our way around to start on other nearby caches. Hope to complete the rest of this series. TFTC
Cheeky little hide here! Thanks for this one, although spiders everywhere today!
This was our first ever find, just giving geocaching a go, very excited and well set up!
Tricky tricky. Took lots of searching but finally stumbled across it just as we were about to give up.

I liked this cache. GPS had me walking everywhere, so I looked at the hint and a photo, the cache quickly being in hand. I struggled a bit opening this but eventually opened it. After signing the logbook, we quickly replaced it, just in time for some muggles to stare at us. On our drive out, they had a look for what we were doing and the camo helped them not find anything. A great little park for a well earned pit stop.
Had to be very careful of this one due to muggles in the park. They looked away I grabbed the cache.
Signed the log and returned to it's hiding place.

With the geokids playing on the playground and muggles aplenty I played the part of tourist reading information. Interrupted in the search by someone enquiring about facilities but unable to assist she was shortly on her way. Replacement cache found signed and replaced. TFTC

TFTC. Grumpy geokids means we will be back to do the tiger trail another day.
Found it! After a very long 4th day of our Otway adventure we finally set up camp in the dark, convinced that our day that started on the beach, travelled though the treetops and valleys of the ranges and put us into a caravan park had finally ended. What a surprise then whilst loading up the following days targets to find that we were only 40 metres from this cache! Do we wait until morning...nah, off we wander into the night torches in hand unfortunately only to be greeted by bits of signed and shredded paper in the freshly mown grass. Some more substantial remnants of the cache log were found in the suspected GZ but the once clever hide was also gone.
We signed what was left, bagged it all up, fashioned a rudimentary hide and contacted the CO by text to let them know what had happened. Hopefully they can repair it soon as we would like to travel the mixed goods over its full journey....TFTC

Found with Yoshi Warrior today after (nearly) completing the Otways series, the geo kids had a play nearby while we searched for this well hidden little cache. Thanks vp4 for the cache and this will one series we will certainly continue. Looks like a great area nearby also to set up the van for a night or two also.
Found this with Happy Pants after doing the Otways series today. What a beautiful park. The weather was beautiful too, could have stayed here longer, but we had to drive back to Warrnambool. The 4 geokids (2x Happy pants & 2x Yoshi Warriors) enjoyed stretching the legs and playing on the playground. I enjoyed reading some of the info about The Tiger Line & The Tiger on the info boards.
I loved the hide, great camo. So far I've done #1, #8 & #9 in this series. Hope to do the rest soon including #10. Took photo of the clue. I'm giving this a well deserved fav point due to the clever hide and the location.

Back on the Otway trail to finish it off, plus a few extra ones here & there while out and about with alchey.
Waited out some muggles nearby and then the coast was clear for a quick once over.
Gathered 7 of the 9 clues so let's see what I can come up with for a final GZ

After our last ride of the year, geo-son was happy to see a park to play at. Husband found it before I did!! Happy new year!!
This was a tricky one today, I could see the cache but couldn't retreive it as lots of holidaying muggles around. Watched for the moment then quickly retrieved and wandered over to the car to read the final instructions! Returning the cache was even more difficult as the population of muggles had increased. Sat on the nearby bench and waited for the opportunity to return the cache. One of the trickier ones to collect due to muggle activity.

As I was only 75 smilies from 2000, and 2 days left of the Year, I decided to hit the "This way to the Otways" trail, the Tiger Line trail and a few others that looked like quick grabs to get the big numbers before the new year.
A 14hour solo round trip with only me, ute, GPSr and a selection of music to keep my sanity.
I left home just before 7.30am and got back home almost at 9.30pm and had travelled 628ks
With the Otways trail done there was only 2 left fo the Tiger Line series. after making a quick and easy grab I was soon working out the numbers for the final. after they were plugged into the GPSr I was ready to replace the cache. only to find muggles in the park now.
After a walk around the area for a look, I had out waited the muggles and now it was time for the cache to go back in its hide. all done and now time for the final find on this series.

Great story about the early rail link and mill workings. Sneaky hide and good camo. Fav point. Took Blue TB and left blue tea bag. TFTC vp4.
Nice one vp4! It all depends in the angle of approach. In town to celebrate the 60th birthday of a former resident. Her forbears certainly knew Forrest as depicted in these photos.
My phone had chosen to not have reception here so was somewhat restricted with not having the cache loaded. SirJ-OZ made the find and we were all impressed with the camo. Dropped off a new shiny pathtag and award a favorite point. Tftc
Find #1610. Found @ 17:45 with LouiseAnn and sharkiefan.
Today's plan was to start and complete the "This way to the Otways" series with an extra few thrown in for good measure (and to achieve a nice round number tally for the day).
This was the sixty-ninth of 70 finds for the day. We stopped for an early dinner at the Forrest brewery, then continued on to grab another two.
A quick search of the structure at GZ and I made the find of the nicely camouflaged hide.
Took nothing, left nothing, grabbed clue, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache vp4. A favourite point is coming your way.

We picked this cache up at 5:46pm. This was the cache of the day for us, it was well made, and surly will never be spotted by people who are not looking for it. We left some pathtags and a trackable. I have also left a favorite point. I was able to do some reflection whilst at this cache.
It was a massive day for SirJ-Oz, Sharkiefan and I. Our main aim for the day was the 'This way to the Otways' series. We found all but 5 of them. There was rain off and on through out the day, but me managed to stay mostly dry and came home tired but please with a total of 70 find for the day. Thanks for the cache vp4.

Cool camo. Took us a while to find it. We are in Forrest for a mountain biking weekend. Thanks for the hide.
Found after a wet and cold day's mountain biking. Great hide, vp4. Thanks for another great hide in an awesome part of the world. TN but dropped TB. Cheers!
Well I finally made it, the end of the line !!! A great little series, thoroughly enjoyable. Love the cache here, sneaky hide and nice construction. Do I attempt to put all the info together for number 10 ??? TFTC vp4.
Found this cache today on a major caching adventure to find 50 caches in 1 day that were all at least 1km apart from each other to meet the requirements for a NZ challenge cache that I am doing presently. This was one of the caches that I found and that helped me successfully reach that goal. Thanks a lot to dbelco, krankitkiwi and na'wal and all other cache owners for hiding the caches that helped me reach this goal. This one was initially not going to be included on this challenge but I had difficulty in finding another cache so replaced it by this very impressive cache. I am giving this one a favourite point for its ingenuity. Signed log today but didn't swap anything.
Thanks for the cache vp4 and I look forward to returning and doing the whole series to complete the final one.

Found this sneaky hide after completing the Otway Series. Thanks to vp4 for the hunt.
Found it. In the rain. Took cover under shelter. Nice cache. Took a little time to locate because of camouflage. Thanks for the cache.
Mrs Crackers joined alansee and Liz & Bruce for a trip to the Otways to pick up the rest of the series that we hadn't found as yet before going to the event tonight.
The Tiger Line was also in our sights as we were traveling passed. This looked like a great camping area, we have locked it away in the memory bank for future use. Being mid week though the area was very quiet leaving us free to search for the cache which was found after not too long a search.
We took nothing but left a favourite point

A top day with a couple of other teams with a high level of geocaching addiction, namely Alansee and Di from Team Crackers. Loads of fun, the rain was a light drizzle most of the day so not too bad. This was one of the caches we targetted and were able to find. Thanks to vp4 for placing this cache.
Great outing with friends today. Very clever, well camoed. Great way to end the Tiger Line series, now to solve the puzzle. Kids loved the playground.
Out on a caching run today with McLookers, Tomstache and Motndarg. Our plan was to find all of the 'This Ways to the Otways' series starting at Winchelsea and making our way to Forrest. After lunch in Birregurra we were joined by Storm_horse, The Rehfisch Clan and $doo and we diverted to the Tiger Line Series.
A great well camoed hide to finish the Tiger Line. All the puzzle pieces are now in hand!

After tidying up a couple of pieces of unfinished business in Geelong, we headed west to the road to the Otways to tackle both the "This Way To The Otways" series and the "Tiger Line" series. We anticipated that we would run out of time to look for them all today but we had left an opportunity to return early tomorrow to complete any that we may have left from today. One of us has a strong affinity for rail, especially steam, as a parent worked as a driver for the Tasmanian Railways. So, we were really loking forward to this series. As we worked through the various caches, we came to appreciate the different style of puzzle - very enjoyable as the data was woven into a story about the happenings at each of the stations.
Even with the hint, we had to circle GZ a couple of times before we were able to locate this very clever cache - well done. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache and the series vp4. This cache certainly earns a favourite from us.
After finding this cache we decided that we would take the collected data back to our motel and look for the cache tomorrow.

# 5699. Robmc had picked today as the coolest day of the week to go out on a caching run. After yesterdays searing heat we were glad to be heading to the Otways......
We completed the Otways Series and as Rob had done this series at an earlier date he kindly stopped along the way so that I could find these as we headed north. So, they were done in reverse order. Really enjoy old rail line caches and feel it is such a shame that in most towns there is nothing to show for this once bustling mode of transport., except for "Station Street" and "Railway Avenue" in the strangest places.
Was able to grab this one after our lunch break in the lovely park here in town. A very nifty hide this one - most impressed. Added my name to the log and took note of the information.
Thanks vp4

Found with 6hinemoa2 during a days caching in the Otways. Thank you vp4 for the cache, the concept, & the execution. I liked this hide... worthy of a favourite
We have camped here with the bushwalking club from Ballarat. There were kids on the play equipment and when we rolled up dad called them back over to the caravan site. Lucky for us - not sure why he didn't trust two oldies though.
We searched and searched. I did the usualquick glance over the obvious spots and then with both of us at the each end we searched more carefully.
'Is this it?' was greeted with a smile and we both thought how clever the hide was. The log was signed and another picture of the clue for the final taken before we sat and had our very late lunch.
A fav here.

First one for 2014. No pen, so left ours. Great hiding spot. Cleverly hidden. MCOC.
I'd planned a big day of caching for today and a big day it was. The main aim was to complete the Otways trail of caches and to find other caches along the way. Starting just out of Waurn Ponds I made my way to Cape Otway Rd and continued to the end of the caching trail before heading east towards Torquay and then on into the southern suburbs of Geelong. Hitting the road at around 7:15 am, it was a long 20 hour day of caching with 630 km travelled and 100 caches founds along with some DNF's. With my first cache found at 7:30 am, I crawled into bed at around 3:30 am the following morning. A great day and thanks to all the CO's who placed the caches I found (and did not find) today.
This was one of the most best short series of caches I have done. Loved the locations and the journey to GZ of the final was enjoyable and adventurous. There were muggles everywhere around GZ today. Many camping or playing tennis but lucky for me none at GZ itself. After reading a few logs I had a good idea of where the cache may be and a bit of a search soon revealed the well hidden cache. I noted the info inside then took a seat and worked out where 'The Mixed Goods' would be.
Thanks VP4.

Tftc. As usual no pen to log in logbook will come again to jot down the deets for the other cache. Nice one .
While riding on the Great Victorian Bike Ride, 610 km in 9 days from Mt Gambier to Geelong , I found 45 caches in my spare time. This was the 30th. Found on 29 Nov.
Cache was in the 1st place I looked. Took all of 10 seconds to find but still regarded it as a good hide. I just got lucky.

I actually saw this one right away, but did not recognise it. Worked our where it should be, then spotted the base and pushed. So I worked it out back the front. You have those days some days...TFTC
Last time I passed by here, there were too many muggles at GZ to even attempt a search. Today though, the cold and drizzly conditions must have kept them at bay and I quickly had the very nicely hidden stash in hand at 13:15 and I was soon on my way on this Day 7 of the GVBR.
A cache worth a fave point.
