Found it! Came up this way for the day to meet Mum at the end of her final section of the Heysen Trail. Quick find here after an uphill trek! TFTC!
Well took a straight line from the ruins to this one very pleased to say a walk straight to it. In hindsight, however using the path might have been a tad easier.TFTC.
Need to disable. I'm hoping to get there sometime in the late Jan, early Feb when I'm allowed to drive again (health reasons).
Little Rock hollow and pieces of plastic at GZ locations under tree. Suspect maintenance required?
Found the cache resting place and pieces of cache container residue - photo attached as evidence. TFTC Are We There Yet!
Hiked through 19 km from Parachilna Gorge today on our way to Wilpena Pound on foot. Mates made fun of my magyver gear but has already paid dividends with cable ties able to repair broken back pack strap and solar panels keeping the phone and GPS at 100% juice. Hope shoes make it - both soles coming away a bit…
Plenty of goats, emus and finches today. Array of blue, white and yellow flowers on display. Windy and cloudy. Great to be out listening to the birds.

Found this on the way back from the Heysen Lookout. The container has been smashed probably from the weight of the rock on top.

After setting up camp, it only made sense to go for a little walk before dinner .

A bit surprised they didn't make a camping area up here - great outlook and cleared, flat land [8].

Tried offline maps for the first time today and it worked very well. It has been 6 months since the last find! Great views as always in the Flinders, TFTC!
This find nearly didn’t happen when my batteries died about 100m from the cache. With a bit of estimation and experience, we made a find without much trouble. Thanks for the hide.
Nice quick find. Planning to walk to the end of the Heysen trail tomorrow. Tftc!
A great day for a park and walk in one of my fav areas.
The roof on the pug and pine was fixed back in 2004 by a group of friends.
This cache was found as part of an EPIC TRIP! to cross the Simpson Desert in July 2020. We crossed the desert without incident thanks to the smooth expert driving of H423L. There were many rocks, water holes, railway sidings and big dunes. Of course there was this cache too. The nights were clear and the stars were bright.
Thanks to Are we there yet! and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Found it on our oz trip in November 2019:
Adelaide - Cameron Corner - Macedon - Mount Gambier - Adelaide.
We had a good overnight camp here @ Aroona valley before heading towards Chambers Gorge. To escape the flies we decided to make the hike to the cache. It was worth to enjoy the views too!

Hiking with Malco! on our last days on the Heysen Trail. We have been at this trail for 6 years. Thanks
Cache was found as part of a Simpson Desert trek by Team Waldron, Freddo, Featherwaite, E_Gregory1 and a couple of muggles.
After Coober Pedy it was off to Dalhousie Springs then across the desert to Birdsvaille south to Clayton Springs and then one last night in the Flinders.
A great trip and we even had time for a few caches.
A quick walk up the slope from the campground.

Found as part of an extended trip with FeatherWaite, Freddo, Team Waldron and a couple of non-caching friends that saw us travel from Adelaide to Coober Pedy, through the Painted Desert to Oodnadatta, then on to Dalhousie and Mount Dare, before crossing the Simpson Desert to Birdsville and then back down to Adelaide via Marree and the Flinders Ranges.
We had pretty good weather, with moderately warm days and cool nights, but plenty of flies!
It was great to be able to find some remote caches in some really interesting and scenic locations.

Found in the company of Freddo, e.gregory1, Team Waldron, occasional cacher out of retirement SteadyOn and muggle friend Tony during an awesome trip to the Simpson Desert, staying at Coober Pedy, then camping out at Dalhousie Springs, three nights in the Simpson Desert, Birdsville, Clayton Bore and Aroona Valley. Thanks for the cache Are we there yet!
A bunch of mates out riding to camp at this great location. Tents set up and relaxation started. Time to collect this green dot on the stony landscape found easily and in good nic. Thanks to the co for this cache
Found on a hot day in the Flinders rangers, driving thrug as manny gorges as posible in my small 2wd, its a rental....great place this is my first day here, would be amasig with a 4wd and water in the streams... just a littel bit..
Today was our primary day of hiking within the Flinders Ranges with a group of friendly Geocachers: jesswrigley, Laighside Legends, gridge98, and *the Godfather* (aka Freddo). The main target was Bathtub Creek, and then geocaching towards Parachilna via Blinman. A pleasant day to be in the outdoors, whilst trying to dodge the increasing flies.
This cache was done after our hike to Bathtub Creek, and we too the non-direct long way to grab this cache, which was a wise decision. An emu looking at us from just nearby. The cache was easily found, and all in good shape, thanks.

Quickly found after the loop trail. I took the Australian flag to put it in another cache somewhere in the beautiful country
A quick find after marching up and over the hill. On returning to were we left our wives and 4WD's we found that they had shifted farther down the river thinking that was the direction we had walked of in they would save us some time and meet us there. Unfortunately we did a big loop which there kind gesture added a extra 100 mtrs to.

I did the same as it seems many others, I took the most direct route from the campsite, only to get to the top to realise there was a trail! All good though, cache signed and back to the travelling party TFTC!
A nice walk from the car park and great views of the Ranges from here. TFTC Are we there yet!
Found it on the way to the Haysen Lookout. Well worth walking to the lookout. Stunning views of the Three Sisters. TFTC
Nice little hike from the bottom. More like 150m not 50m from the valley floor. Found on Easter getaway with Redmond.
Thanks bear & bell while I was in car feeding one child husband in tow with other child u logged the cache for us.
Well, I had climbed one hill this morning and I was keen on climbing
this one too! Great scenery around here. Cache number 2 for the day

Parked in the last campsite, next to a large river gum which seemed to have recently hit by lightning, and was still smoking! While B2 prepared a very tasty lunch of onion, pototato and chops, I headed up the hill to find this. If only I'd known about the access track LOL. TFTC
Found this one on my roadtrip through Australia while exploring Flinders Ranger & surrounds, after visiting the nearby ruins. Another quick find on my travels.

After finding the forward version I was off to find this one backwards, if you know what I mean. I think I took the hard way up from the campground below only to find the cache a few metres off of the walking track. Going down was much easier.

After finding the other cache here, and then having some lunch, I came for the walk up here. A nice spot with a great view, and my first (and hopefully only) snake encounter on this trip. I didn't catch exactly what type of snake it was, but it was brown, about half a metre long and as thick as my middle finger... Anyway, the cache was a quick find, despite the snake that slithered in under/behind it. Needless to say I retrieved the container with my walking pole! Found on our Adelaide to Murray Bridge via Uluru road trip for Oz Mega 2014. TFTC!!!
Easy find. Went up the hill from the camp ground. Interesting to see how the pioneers build all this out here. Tftc!
Found quickly in one of the central Flinders most beautiful valleys.
If you have time can we recommend the Yuluna Walk - this cache is placed at the end of the walk.

The name of this had me completely bamboozled until much later when I read the notes for it .
We originally wrote it off, believing it was up the top of the hill and would take too long to get. Driving past as we were leaving, the GPS reported that it was less than 200m away, and that was when Parrot and I decided that we could manage that .
I wouldn’t like to walk up that slope at night without a torch. There were masses of big Golden Orb spiders with their webs between almost every tree, it seemed .

Had to visit a nearby (very windy) establishment and on checking the GPS before leaving the area realised we probably should be having a go at this one.
My there sure are some spiders on the hill.

Easy find. We found an old campfire.
There was a pine about 2 metres high right next to the ash.
So this campfire must be very old.

Found with Burtons, AdrianMc, Anja and setsujoku following the Sunny Side Up event. We camped at the Aroona campground at around sunset, so after tea it was out with the torches for a night-time find. TFTC.
A night time find on our way back south after a quick tour of the state.
I had stayed in this campsite before and knew it to be a good one so that influenced the decision to camp here for the night.

A short easy side trip on way back to car after several days walking amongst the peaks and gorges in the mid Heysen Range. Spectacular but harsh country . TFTC.
This makes two FTF's in two days, I'm surprised that this cache has remained unfound for so long.
A great place with a great view of the Heysen Range.
This was not a planned cache for the weekend, so the cache notes had not been consulted. As a result we took the direct option, up the side of the hill from the camp ground. My muggle passenger, sans GPSr managed to find the cache at the same time that I did (he had a head start on me - I was left to lock the car and I was trying a new trick with the Oregon 350).
Thanks for the cache Are we there yet?
