We have found solace! Great little detour off the trail to find this one and a fantastic view while we were up here! Thanks for placing the cache!
Very fun scramble up while walking the Kittys Gorge track
Beautiful day for a walk and cache is in excellent order
Beautiful day for a walk and cache is in excellent order
Coordinates about 5 meters off and very slippery, recommend downloading cache before going as it is hard. Took a while.
I was out for a training run today for the ultra-marathon I've signed up for and decided to reward my diligence with a cache or two. I must have had good satellite coverage because I pretty much walked straight up to GZ.
Thanks for find #4573

TFTC. Very well hidden and found it thanks to the log photo. GPS was very jumpy.
Came out to Jarrahdale for a walk and decided to find the 3 caches along the way. Although this was the largest of the 3 it took me the longest to find. I guess with the cloud cover and rain it was affecting my phone GPS. I was just about to give up when I found it. Thanks for placing the cache here for me to find. Log signed and cache replaced where found.
A fair old hike for a couple of old codgers but we both got up to it & felt a great sense of achievement in doing so. We know where to come if there is another pandemic & toilet paper shortage.tftc AlliedOz / The Jokers
Seeing as the temperature took a measurable drop today, it was a good chance to get the legs moving again after such a hot Summer. Jarrahdale never disappoints as we headed out on our 9km loop, I stopped off for this one which I missed last time I was out here. The creek beds are bone dry but we were lucky to get a bit of light misty drizzle to cool us as we hiked.
Thanks for a great cache here. I signed the logbook and replaced cache as found.
Cheers

Quick find today, given the heat I almost decided to walk past but I couldn’t say no to a nice big ammo tin!
Hi there AlliedOz. My plans for some caches further west were thwarted at the last minute so I decided that Kittys Gorge would be a good destination for a cool day. My GPS had the cache further down the slope but there was no real hiding spots at that level so I searched higher. I found this cache at 10:40AM after a short search - and the container and log are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to AlliedOz for this cache - our find 9616 and the 1st of 3 finds for the day.
FieldNotes: The cache and log were both found in good condition.

Great spot on a great walk. One of the cache contents made me laugh. Would have been like gold a little while ago. TFTC.
Very happy to find this cache for my 300th. My favourite style of old school cache so a favourite from me. Onwards to the falls now. Thanks for the cache
Great hide, and third cache of the day. Love the 'supplies' the cache - you never know when you may need them!!
What a great cache..all good here..caceh and log in good condition tftc also took TB
A quick find with Upnaway82. A bit of a tough climb up the rocks but well worth it for the stunning view. TFTC Allied Oz/The Jokers
Did the walk along the Gorge today hunting your new caches.
In the late afternoon sun, this cache location was spectacular. A nice grassy patch in the granite overlooking the valley with the setting sun.
Ammo cans always get a favourite point from me. Thanks Allied Oz and the Jokers for this cache.
I dropped off a TB too.

Catching up on a bunch of missed logs. Always find a way to fall behind on logging. Please excuse the generic log. Found with Barnzy12
Headed out with Leg5 today to cleanup the last 5 caches I had near the Jarrahdale area. Being a bit of a walk some pre planning was involved with ensuring I could leave work early.
Met in Armadale and made the drive down in convoy. Parked at the cemetery and made the trek around to the 5 caches and managed a quick find of them all. We enjoyed the scenery and the quietness of the place with only some kangaroos and birds rusting in the bushes and trees.
Thanks to the COs for a great afternoons bush caching.
Add FP. Great spot. Thanks Allied

Went out early today to get my daily exercise and you wouldn’t believe how many other people would be doing the same .!!!!! Thanks to all the CO’s in the area . All caches are in good order
Found while doing the Kittys Gorge walk trail. All good with the cache, plenty of swag. Thanks AlliedOz/The Jokers for placing a cache here. Fav awarded.
Walked up from Serpentine Falls, had lunch at "Moss Rock" just below the cache. Walked back.
A nice stroll along kitty's gorge this morning with a stop for this great cache. Sat and enjoyed the view while signing the log. Thanks for the cache
Found the cache fairly easily once I got to the spot. Was a hot walk up the track. Still in good shape, tftc
Enjoyed a magic valley walk with east coast visitors, thru the Karrie Hazzel, all in flower. Took the opportunity to duck off and pick up this cache.
Thanks
Thanks
thanks guys.. always loved this place, great late arvo walk in the rain, cheers..
I'm not sure if there is an easy way to this one but I sure didn't find it . Bush bashed most of the way but it sure was fun [^]
I was fortunate to be able to head to this area today and grab some of the around here, which makes a change from finding places to hide caches. I had a great time exploring places I hadn't been before and really enjoyed the walks .
AlliedOz - jinta29 found your cache Solace on 28/7/17, 9:22 am. This is my find #8231 and find #1 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Well if there is a hard way and a easy way, we always manage to find the hard way. All the access roads to this area were closed so we thought we would park on the side of the main road at the closet point and enjoy a early morning trek through the bush. Our plan was working wonderfully for the first 700m but not the last 200m. The scrub become thick and steep downhill. With all said and done we made it and had a great workout. Leega spotted the cache straight away. A beautiful spot for a cache. TFTC the jokers
Out early with axell33 for a spot of long weekend caching before work. Well, we got a great workout getting to this one. Up hill and down dale, through the scrub and bush. We were sure there was a path nearby, but seem to like taking the path never travelled in this case. Tyftc
Headed north on a Mothers Day caching foray to tackle some of the Civilisation series in Jarrahdale. This cache had been on our radar for some time so today parked just off Chestnut Lane on beginning of Kitty Gorge track and walked from there - around 2 klm return. Pretty easy going except for the hill climb on way back to the car! Thanks AlliedOz

A beautiful autumn day for a bush walk, but no water in Kitty's Gorge. A lovely place for a cache. TFTC.
Great location for a good size cache container. A brilliant bush walk, we'll be back. TFTC
A great bushwalk all the way from Jarrahdale to Serpentine Falls was a track log of 10km vs 7km on signs. Great location for a cache. Thanks for going to the effort to place one here. Found by thecachernator, and I took Stuart's Journey TB. TFTC
An easy find while taking on the Kitty's Gorge track with the Geokids. Considering the foot traffic we encountered along the way we were very surprised to find it's been a year since the cache had been discovered. Thanks Allied Oz for the great view. Dropped off a TB
Quick find after our disappointment at the other cache. Samwise6, my caching buddy was happy to finally find the ammo can of his dreams!
The last of my finds in the area for today. I'll have to leave the one at the end of the trail until my wife's next appointment.
Arrival saw me puff and pant my way to ground zero. There I grabbed the prize and happily signed the log. A LOT quicker than the nearby cache I must say. I then took out some rubbish from previous finders before heading off to collect the better half. And coffee. Need coffee after all this walking!
Thanks for the cache Allied Oz
Cheers

Out this neck of the woods on a glorious day for the Kitty Gorge hike, a quick detour up the hill for a cache check and a picture before continuing along the trail.
Cache is in good condition with a handful of swaps for the kiddies.

Headed out for a few hours to Jarrahdale for some bushwalking through Kitty's Gorge & Gooralong Park... After success at the nearby cache, we continued on to this one I was in the lead & quickly discovered the cache before even starting my search! We sat here for a while, enjoying the views & the serenity before hiding the tin (a little better than what it was found) before making our way back down to the trail
TFTC AlliedOz [^] Another nicely placed cache which we enjoyed discovering!

Out here today doing some caching, this one was a nice easy find! Thanks for bringing us here! TFTC
Was walking the Kittys Gorge Walk Track today and took a quick break for this find. Always nice to find a real cache in the bush to thanks for that.
Found it as part of a 22km hike with my wife! sure i have done one near here before?!?!
Quick find here ... and yes, it gave me some solace after "Never judge a Brook by its cover". The cache was found yesterday by a non-geocacher who wrote a note in the log in the book, but thankfully chose not to muggle the cache. SL. TNLN. TFTH AlliedOz
Found the cache without any problems but extracting it from it's place of concealment was a completely different exercise

After finding the Brook Keego and Chil and Jazl climbed the rocky area and found the cache. This was my last for the day having walked 12km in bushland today I enjoyed your finale.
Thanks AlliedOz
Thanks AlliedOz
Out scouting some caches in the Gooralong gorge area with AmstradKid and Jazl the Wonder Dog. After our success at the previous cache we had decided we would press onto this one. A quick climb up the rocks and AmstradKid had the cache quickly spotted thanks to Jazl the wonder dog dragging him up there. We love Ammo Cases in the bush. On the walk out we came acroos a group of Red Breasted Robins, really topped off a great couple of hours caching. SL TFTC AlliedOz
Always wanted to find an Ammo box cache.
Only one I found on the Kitty Gorge Walk (other walkers were getting a bit impatient with me ducking off into the bushes every few km).
Thanks.

After doing the LKA Jarrahdale cache I set off on a walk through the park to do the other caches in the area. This was the third cache I did on the walk.
Found without problems.
Thanks for the cache.

I absolutely love this cache. Ammo cans are awesome, bit coupled with the view and the setting this was magnificent. Thank you!! ^_^ TNLN
I have been meaning to try these caches on the Kitty Gorge Trail for a while, have been waiting for a birthday present of a mountain bike - which I still haven't got, but thought I would go in on foot! It also turned into a rescue mission as I knew that there were some travel bugs in the caches that had been there since October.
After my first failed attempt at "Never judge a brook by its cover" I went on to find some Solace and rescue the travel bugs. A great cache in an amazing location. The GPSr lead me straight to GZ. Pulled out the two TBs to move on.
I was going to go on and find Jarrahdale Rewards 1, but the track became more and more over grown and I started to get a bit worried about snakes! So decided to head back and have another look for "Never judge a brook by its cover". I did spook a roo on my way in and another two on the way back to the car!

Dropped off TB Finding Nemo 1 & Purdys Great Adventure (sorry Purdy no fire house yet.)

Its always good to finish the day with a Find!! After not finding its neighbour, this cache was the last on our list and one I knew we would find. Its amazing how much the trees and things have grown in such a short time. Everything was overgrown when we walked through and had changed heaps since our last visit a few short months ago. Great name for the cache!! Very appropriate!!

Found solace late in the afternoon on Father's Day - ReadyRex had been earlier and wished a similar happy day as we did!
We had been further south to a nice little pool near some falls for a swim after the (reasonably) warm walk and headed back via this cache for an easy find on a lovely hillside with a view across to a rather inviting pile of rocks on the other side of the valley. Hmm.
Took a couple of little cars, left a kangaroo keyring and a set of kids jewellery rings and stickers, thanks for the cache AlliedOz / The Jokers!

Fantastic views from this quiet location. Great swaps too, but no swaps for us today, TFTC.
Almost spotted from 50M away. Good spot. With the number of caches at Gooralong now maybe the rock on the other side of the brook needs a cache. lol

Great day, great area, great cache! Thanks so much for the escape from the city!
Yeah another *FTF* on an AlliedOz / Jokers cache.
Its normally quite a busy area with walkers but I did not see a sole on the way to the cache, perhaps it had some thing to do with the wet and wild weather. Walking to the cache in the rain with thunder rumbling overhead. I didn't think I would be the first because the cache had been published 26 hours before, but then again mad dogs and Englishmen. I enjoyed the walk in to the cache and can say this time it was uneventful. Dropped off Endian's Geocoin and picked up the 2c travel bug.
Thanks for bringing us back to this area with another cache.

a short hike from Never Judge a Brook, a good stretch of the hammies up the hill and got to claim 2TF. love ammo boxes. Left a new red charger (still in its box), took playing cards and a GC. TFTH SL
