Logs
This was on my offline list so I found it and signed it. Does CO want me to put a new log in this to be able to get it going again?
Found on a one month road trip around Australia. Sorry for the generic log. TNLNSL TFTC
We spent the night camping not far from The Nobel Nob gold mine and then started our way north again this morning picking up caches along the way.
Many years ago Mr Crackers had his pilot's license which he still has but isn't current by quite a few years so we did understand the markers and their meanings but didn't realise that this strip was so long as we never actually flew this far down.
We have since given up flying and now use the money for fuel for the car not the plane. More caches that way.
The cache itself was a nice easy find and our name has now been added to the log which unfortunately has seen better days but is still quite usable.
Thanks The Mavericks for the cache.

Find No: 6010. Visiting from Newcastle, finally on the way to Darwin after our 3 week stay in Alice, thanks for the cache The Mavericks!!
After stopping in Tennant Creek to log yesterday's caches, refuel and have morning tea, we stopped on the side of the road to grab this one. TTTC
Pa really indulged me today and brought me out to grab this cache despite the fact that I had said that the emphasis on caching would be over once we left Alice. A quick find on our way back into town after visiting some of the outlying aches. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find. Stamped log.
7187 - 12:40; Day 24 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965, so signing logs as A.L.F.S. After attending the Red Centre Experience event in Alice Springs and then heading north to Darwin, the time has come to pack up and head for home. Today we are continuing back along the Stuart Highway to Tennant Creek, then heading over the Barkly. This was our first and only cache find for the day after we had DNFd it on the trip north, having collected the others along today's route last week. TFTC The Mavericks
13647. Only find of Day 14 of the Red Centre Experience Roadtrip. Heading South Again.
I flew into Alice Springs to meet up with my caching mates Sol de Lune, Albida33 and LuckyL10n (signing mostly as ALFS) to attend the Red Centre Experience and then venture up north to Darwin and then east into Qld before heading south for home - a three week caching trek.
Only stop for the day. Quick find at GZ after a DNF here last week. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and it was off to the Barkly Homestead for our overnighter.

Alice trip 2017. Day 22. Today is ANZAC day and I am sad to say I slept through the Dawn Service at Daly Waters. After we were up Sol de Lune, Luckyl10n, Fitzy_1965 and I continued the drive south to three ways then West to the Barkley Homestead. We visited several trigs along the way but only one cache ! I am happy it was replaced while we were further north.
Thanks.

Heading back down the track and towards home with fitzy_1965, LuckyL10n and albida and we grabbed a few caches along the way. We had a couple of DNF's, but in the main all were good and we soon had about 20 for the day.
Thanks to all the caches owners and for the fun in grabbing them.

We spent Easter at the Red Centre Experience Event in Alice Springs then hit the road north toward Tennant Creek before turning east on our geocaching adventure to Cape York.
A quick stop to grab this one on our way to our overnight rest stop.

Now travelling north towards Darwin after the Red Centre Experience.
Sad to leave but excited of what else we can see in NT.
The days are warm again, so the ugg boots are packed and we are again hanging out for the aircon.
Lots of great historic points to see before we reach Adelaide River for ANZAC day.

Found by Mary & David at 0910. Another beautiful day as we head off from Tennant Creek. Native frangipani in flower everywhere. The retired RAAF engineer is very familiar with runway markers. Our thanks to The Mavericks.
Despite three sets of eyes on the hunt, no luck with this one today. Will keep an eye out and might drop by on our way back.....
TFTC. The container was on the ground on the other side of the fence. So I used a stick to pull it back through and then replaced it after signing.
Stopped off to checkout the airstrip View & the cache .

Still heading north on the Stuart between Alice and Tennant Creek, caching as we travelled. Will take us a few days. We keep stopping!
After setting up camp at Tennant Creek, we went for a drive, out to the lake, and back to this cache. Found easily, on the ground. Signed and returned. Thanks Mavericks

The roadtrip to end all roadtrips has begun! Gaz'n'Kab and catscatscats22 have left all but their trusty steed behind, and have embarked on the most epicest adventures across Australia
We soon made our way towards Tennant Creek and spotted this cache on the roadside so we pulled in and quickly had the cache in hand and added our names to the logbook [^]

That was interesting reading about runway markers etc. Amazing what sort of random things you can learn from geocaching

Glad to finally cross this one off. Couldn't find it when we were here back in 2012 but today walked straight to it. Pity about the information boards at the nearby stop. Most have been vandalized or are missing all together. Thanks
During our vacation we were driving the Outback, today we drove from Tennant Creek to Daly Waters. Of course we had to stop several times and of course we stopped at places with a geocache.
Thanks to every cacheowner for showing the nice places. Without geocaching we wouldn't have seen most of them.

I hadn't read the description up till now ... indeed, an other lesson ! At GZ it wasn't clear at all why this cache was there and not on the other side of the road ; now it is !!
