Had this one marked to help our JASMER out. Attempted to find parking in a few different spots on separate expeditions and happy to say we found the nice easy path 'down the drain' on our trek today! Man it is hilly in Albany! First attempt was with bikes, then with the car then by hiking. Easy access to the 'drain' from the southern carpark on the way to the Mt Melville Lookout.Nice walk down the drain, we now know why it is called this Cache was about about 5m SW of GZParked up on Serpentine Rd at the Lion Street Park to do a nice hike around Mt Melville collecting a few more smilies. Ended up doing over 7kms up and down and around with 11 caches in total. Mostly followed the Mount Melville Circuit Trail but with alot more added detours for geos to add to the kms. A fun day out! Thank you Coastn Along for placing and maintaining Up the Drain for us and others to find and enjoy!
Kids loved the bush bash didn't even know that carpark was there lived just below it my whole life
Took some searching but finally found. Had to leave the bikes for a bit… Also cut myself! TFTC!!!
Staying at a friend's place 120m down the hill so figured should pick up a few of these while not raining
GPS all over the place, found about 2m east of line.
Added a couple of +100yo pennies to cache.

Found this one today. Took a bit of hunting. Got all excited initially only to discovered I'd found someone discarded can. GPS was roaming around a lot. Two people definitely made the hunt earlier. Thanks for the cache!
Maintenance check on cache today. Container replaced with new log book. Accuracy of about 3m to cache on my Samsung phone.
Orrsome Family spotted this one after a 10 minute search. Logbook very wet. Tftc
After 10 min search we walked a few more metres up and I turned around and there she was. Tftc
Out on this beautiful morning grabbing some smileys. We made our way along the track and we’re soon at gz. We searched for a few minutes before making the find. We added our names to your log and returned your cache back to where it hides. TFTC Rainbow Coasters.
While getting caches with axell33 ‘up the hill’, we set our sights on this one, but tried to tackle it from a different point before heading back to our original beginning. Enjoyed the walk through the native foliage and admired how much work went into making this ‘drain’. At go we foraged around for a little while before spotting our prize. With all sorted headed back. Found on a wet and rainy day! Sadly the log was too wet to sign- might need replacing. TFTC Rainbow Coasters
Thanks Rainbow Coasters for placing and maintaining this cache.
Heading down to Albany as it’s supposed to be wet and cold in Perth so why not come to where it’s almost always wet and cold . No I have a few days off work and things to do down here so collecting a few geocaches was on the cards TFTH
Getting very wet in the end today, good thing I have a spare pair of shoes.

After a very tiring bike ride up to the cache ‘somewhere along the horizon’, on the way down we picked up this cache. The cords were a bit jumpy but eventually found it. Nice hide. TFTC
Quick trip to Albany and back, Caching along the way, and camping in the back of the ute.Tftc.
Went 'up the drain' to find it.
What is the rock lined ditch across the slope?

Lovely little walk with an awesome view over Albany. Well hidden, lots of the surrounding area looks very suspect so keep your eyes peeled.
TFTC!
TFTC!
Like previous catchers we found this one about 8m further up the hill.

In town for work, so filled in some time with a couple of caches. These hills are steep when you walk them.

Geodaughter2 and I looked for this one a few days back but couldn't find it. Did some research by reading older logs and headed back up the hill with Geodaughter1 in tow. Easy success ! TFTC! Remember a pen... Long way down to get one from the car!
Nice little walk up the drain coords where a bit off but recent logs helped a lot great little spot lived in Albany my whole life and never even knew about it. TFTC
While over in the west visiting family red.5 and xambo4u decided to take a walk over mt Melville with grandchild Gabi. On our way we pulled up here to check this one out. Great views from here and houses are very creative. Tight turning circle here and with a short walk along track and a quick bush bash we were at GZ. Lost co ords being under cover but soon had it in hand. Thanks for the cache
Starting to get the hang of what to look for!! Nice fun walk in the Albany winter weather.
Woohoo !!! Found it !!! Was a fit of a search and was about 8m further up from GZ as previous logs have said.
Interesting place never knew it was here...no pencil in cache (our pen wouldn't fit). A great day on MM
Tough morning here on the mountain. I came from above since I'd found other caches up there earlier. Conditions were woeful. By the time I eventually located the cache, I slipped on a rock submerged under fallen tree debris, dropped my power tank pen somewhere and abandoned the hunt. I will hopefully be back in far nicer conditions on a future visit to sign the log. I wonder whether the cache has been moved since it's higher up the drain than my GPSr suggested, but maybe that was just the terrible reception today. Thanks anyway for the experience.
Out road tripping with K.B. This was one of our many stops. Thanks for the time you've taken to hide this cache. Please excuse the generic log.
This was a search and a 1/2. Just about to give up but stumbled over it on the way back up the hill. TFTc.
Up the drain, down the drain, away from the drain. No idea where this one is suppose to be.
Found this eventually! Took a bit of scrambling around and after reading the log saying it was a bit further up the hill we got it! TFTC
No luck. But how awesome - Friday 13th, dusk, hiding from muggles, crows surrounding me - where are you Freddy and Jason!!!!!
Got to zero and zero, but couldnt find anything, could CO confirm if cache is still there. Thanks
Another interesting walk, spotted a lot of skinks sunning themselves on the drain. Tftc
I had a great time down in Albany, caching most days, followed by scrumptious dinners accompanied by some fantastic local reds. This one took us longer to find than we anticipated, with it finally being located some 6-8m further up the hill than where the gps's were indicating. But find it we did. Thanks for the smiley Coastn Along
