Searched everywhere. Think muggles might have gotten to it as area has recently been cleared
I’ve had my eye on this one for a while and despite the previous dnfs I was determined to venture out and have a look. I arrived at gz and started following the gps around in circles before it settled In a particular area. I started circling around the vicinity for about 10 mins with no luck. Not wanting to give up I turned my attention to the ground despite what the hint said, thinking that maybe the cache had fallen down from a height. After circling around for a further 5 mins like a bush turkey, I threw in the towel...
Had some free time after a busy day, so why not go geocaching? After arriving at GZ took about 5 minutes before CIH.

Nice early morning find after visiting the Dry Cleaners in Lugarno. Wasn't planning to GC but such a beautiful day I wanted an excuse for a walk. Of course I didn't take a Pen. Will pop back later and see if I can pick up another county on route . Cheers.
Located at 2:50pm. #886.
After successfully navigating through Dracula’s lair at the nearby Dracula’s Canteen Earth Cache, I was feeling the heat and deciding to finishing caching for the day. But a nearby RS cache with an enticing D/T rating lured me over. I parked in the understandably deserted park and made my way over. The camouflage peeked out at me and I had CIH. Nicely done RS.

Blends in very well. A nice calm afternoon after less than pleasant weather. TFTC
Took a minute or two and a few webs to avoid, but found without too much of a hassle. TFTC

A quick find today while out with the geoboy. Approaching from above it was some bush bashing until we reached GZ. A likely structure for the hide was identified and sure enough there was the cache in arms reach. Signed the log and returned the cache just as the sun was setting.
Thanks for the cache Rainbow Spirit.

After reading the logs on this one I was convinced that we would either find no cache at all........or we'd find two ( the old and the new)
After circling for a few minutes geohubby spotted it - it matched the hint so I think it's the replacement cache
We could hear the nearby game and judging by the yells, they take it pretty seriously around here

Too dark for me to find it, had a look. Must find this one. It's the bane of my caching in this area
Today again nice weather, ideal to take a nice walk in the area. We have also passed here. Very tricky hidden. But then found and logged.
Many thanks from Moorhelmis from Germany

This one was very well hidden. It took me a while to find this little bugger. Thank you for the nice cache.
OCW Mrs A early, to beat the heat.
I decided to stick to the perimeter rather than charge through. The distance was decreasing and the arrow pointed the way (GPSr) so in I went and not long after I spotted the hide. Did the signing and placed cache back. TFTC Rainbow Spirit.

Stopped by and had a look through the bush with Happy Jackie and bingo, almost straight away the well cammoed cache was in hand. Log signed and returned to hiding spot. Thanks

Couldn't find it, checked all trees I thought. Might want to check up on it after the storm we just had.
17/4/16. 6:53 AM. Cache #3739. Streak day #665.
1st of 3 finds (plus one DNF) - Lugarno, Oatley & Alfords Point.
As I have a lunch at my brother's house today up the Central Coast, no scope for caching later in the day (of course this meant I missed the new publishes around 10-11am, including some near home, grrrrr). So I could only duck out on an early mission, and I started with this one.
It's my third attempt here and it was a case of third time lucky, thanks to some additional information. So glad to have this monkey off my back, although I have developed a new local nemesis at the cache I next drove off to, "Take a Peak". TFTC.
} : )
By the way - shouldn't this cache be called "HV"????

Yes it should have been HV, but I miss named it, and well now I'm kind of stuck with it...

Decided to head back south for a few caches. Been a while since I've been here. And there are some multis here that need a little work as well.
In the end grabbed four and nabbed info for two other multis.
Looks like I'll need to come back again sometime.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Realised I'd missed this one while moving from my first find to the second, so backtracked and parked in the reserve - right near all the council workmen.
Luckily they're well away from GZ.
Made my way there and started the search. So many possibilities for a micro. Grrrrr!
And then I just spotted it a few metres away. Well, that was a surprise. After getting home and checking some logs I realised I had found the recently re-found older cache, discovered by **Brewmaker**.
well, well.
Completed signing duties and replaced. Had a quick glance around for the other container but didn't spot it.

Well this cache find today is quite an adventure. We had visited this site 2 weeks ago while caching around Lugarno and after spending a good 45 minutes searching to no avail, we left with a DNF. After grabbing a quick find around Oatley, we thought we would give it another try, having had a bit of advice. But with a number of DNFs we were not optimistic. Once more we checked all around with no luck. There are so many trees that could support this cache!
I eventually decided to look low instead of high, thinking it may have fallen on the ground. Why this spot, I don't really know! It just looked like a tree that would hold a cache - like all the others around here! But there was this container on the ground under the leaves at the base of a tree. We opened it up and there was the original log sheet. And the log is still dry and in excellent condition, but not many names on it. Log shows last signed 30/10/2013 by Martin Cousins. Was replaced in 2015. I wonder where the new container is? 2.4m away? I think I'll try another day. I messaged CO so he can return to sort this one out.
I replaced it where I thought it should go, but it looks like the next seekers will have two containers to search for! TFTC Rainbow Spirit. #345

Went searching (for the 2nd time) with Brewmaker to look for this cache. We searched for about 40 minutes, looking at every tree (there are many), but with no luck. Finally I said it's time to call it a day. Maybe it is missing and we would need to contact the CO and advise. Then Brewmaker said he would look for just 5 minutes more. About 4 minutes later he says, 'I think I've found it!' Going against the clue, he walked up to a tree and looked on the ground. There, covered in 3 year old leaf litter, was a camo bison tube. We opened it up to reveal a very clean log, that had only been used about 6 times. What? This didn't make any sense. I looked at the dates on the log and saw that the last find was in October 2013 - we had actually found the original 2013 cache that had gone missing before a replacement cache was put in nearby! Unbelievable!!! We signed the (old) log and placed it where we think it should have been before it fell, laying there undiscovered for 3 years. The CO can inspect and decide. So now it seems, at least for a limited time, there are 2 caches available - the original one (now back in action) and the newer one (which seems to have gone missing). Weird......
14/2/16. 12:05 PM.
Note to self - when it's this hot, if I must get a cache for a streak, go for a mint tin in the armco, don't torture yourself with these difficult ones! I'd already had a DNF at "cup and saucer" in Canterbury for the second time in two days, but then in coming here I don't know why I felt optimistic.
I remembered what the CO had told me last year but called him for a refresher. This narrowed down the options a little more but after a further 10 minutes of searching and being bit, I gave it up. As I drove off, the last finder who I had messaged, called me and I was able to clarify a couple more things, so back I went for another 10 minutes of searching and offering my calves to the mozzies.
Frazzled, I walked off and reset my expectations for the day. I filtered on my phone for unfounds that were non-micros with difficulty 1.5 or less. The nearest of these was "The Incontinence Pad" in Alfords Point, so I headed over there. As for this one, I mightn't be able to find it without a spoiler photo if I don't get my mojo back.

Looked around for ages. No luck. Thought of many possible places and hides, but not there.
Have to come back another time.

25/10/15. 9:25 AM.
There are 6 GC.com caches in Lugarno - I managed to find 4 of them this morning, DNFd this one (in between "Stuck in a hard place " and "Here I Am!", and ran out of time to do the big multi "Animalogical".
When I got here, I checked past logs and saw that there were 4 recent DNF logs and this hadn't been found since May. I read N22's log and took heart - I had found a few of RS's sneakier caches, particularly in the Pot of Gold series, and this gave me a good idea of what I was looking for.
However, after 20 solid minutes of going around and around in circles, I was getting nowhere (except bitten by mozzies and hassled by butcherbirds). Texted a past finder and the CO who between them confirmed to me what I had been suspecting about the cache, its camo and location. RS suspected this could have gone, so he'll probably check here soon. I gave up and went to "Here I Am!".

Today's main aim was the nearby Animalogical cache so while we were in the area we gave this one a go.
Add us to the long and distinguished list of DNF's. Too tricky for us today!

After the recent activity on this cache, I thought it was due another go. Since my first attempt I have had the joy (exaggeration) of finding several of Rainbow Spirit's other sneaky micros. This one was just like them.
I was staring at it for a while before recognising just what it was.
Thanks for the cache.

Thought I give another try. Coords had me in the same spot as last time and it still felt like I was looking in the wrong spot? Clue didn't help much either.

Took a bit of hunting, we knew it would be there & our persistence paid off. signed the crisp new log, tftc RS xo
No, still couldn't find it with new cords. Then we realised a micro...too hard, too many spots, kids restless.
Very drifty co-ords on this one, had a fair hunt for it but will have to return another day

stopped by to have a look on my lunch break and while no muggles in sight i still couldn't find it.
Ohhhh noooooooo........ My first DNF. Ouch ! Went to the coordinates and searched for over 30 minutes to no avail. The area is marked for regeneration and a lot of trees have been marked for removal. My guess is cache has been muggled. Rainbow Spirit can you please drive past and check. Thanks
Took my son there as we recently moved into the area but no success today. .. if someone could inform me if it's still in existence then we'll try again. .
My GPS went directly to a likely spot- tree with a sort of hollow at arms reach high...but was no where to be seen/felt. Checked other trees, no luck. Saw too many other DNF's so moved on.
Arrived at GZ and first thoughts are that it could be anywhere. Surprised as it was a quick find once GPS settled down. Coords were very accurate for me. Thanks RS
Strangely no tracks around GZ. Probably due to a swirly GPS signal!

GPS jumped around a bit under the trees but was close enough to make the find. TFTC.
After 20 mins searching with my hubby and dog - nothing found. Lots of leaves, sticks and very very bushy. Hint states 'not on the ground'. Looked in logs, up in trees, under bark - but nothing. A little frustrating and disappointed.
Wear bushwalking gear and beware of spider webs!
Hopefully someone finds it again soon

First time out geocaching. Didn't find it, but I live nearby so will keep trying. Had same iPhone issues as previous logger - could not get position updated once in the trees. Maybe I need to upgrade to an iPhone 5 (LOL - any excuse will do).
Alas a DNF for me. Getting to GZ was not an issue, arriving there I thought there's only 2 options here, but neither of them to my luck? Probably missed the obvious?

After working out I would be quicker parking on the street, I walked back in and found the cache, even though there were still juggles milling around after some rugby. The fields were impressive, as was the cache when I found it: simple but very effective! SL&R.

Found fairly easy whilst on a caching spree with "The Neighbs". Loved the camo . TFTC Rainbow Spirit.
TFTC, I was surprised how difficult it was to see the Cache. I walked past it and had a look around without success. It wasn't till I looked back at the GPS to read the description again when it showed itself to me. Visited a group of trackables finding local Caches around Sydney.
So much going on here today. Council workers everywhere. After working out where to park it was an easy walk to GZ which was spotted from a few metres away. One of the easisest Rainbow Spirit caches we have attempted.
Didn't read the cache description till we got home so we had all sorts of names worked out for what HC was an abbreviation for.
