Searched for about 20 mins around the location of the geocache and couldn't find anything
DNF for this one, We looked at all the likely spots you would/could hide a cache around near GZ, also looked at previous logs for any hints. . AsTheCrowsFly'.
Attempted to find this at 4:08PM on this Sunday the 6th of November in the year 2022

I was in the area for the earthcache and decided to take a few extra minutes to find this one. TFTH
My 500th find!
Super glad to have corrected this frown face today; once I got at it from the right angle it was smooth sailing! (Except for the thorns )

Thanks for replacing Muppet. Glad I was able to tick this one off after venturing into those blackberry thorns.

After finding a relatively non-thorny zigzag path to GZ I used a few tools to try and retrieve the cache but I left empty handed.
Fast forward half an hour and Muppet dropped in a replacement.

A DNF for me. Got to 7m and there were so many black berries and loads of long grass. If I had some pruning shears I would have hacked a way in. No dice
I think we know the location but I think a tree as fallen on it making it impossible to get to the cache
You need to wear thick pants to stop the blackberry shrubs from getting you. But great geocache thanks.
We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to the NSW Southern Highlands for a short midweek caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Mittagong Caravan Park at Emu Plains, and are planning to explore the areas around Mittagong, Bowral, Mount Gibraltar, and Box Vale. Hoping to collect a variety of cache types, including some Earthcaches and Wherigos and previously solved Puzzle caches, and to also complete some of the Adventure Labs in the area. This was our 11th find of the day (day 5), and 95th find of the holiday.
Well this would have to be one of the more painful cache finds I have made. Arrived at GZ to find a large tree had fallen right on GZ. Searched all around the fallen tree, in the hope that GZ was not actually under it, but finally came to the conclusion it was down in there somewhere.
Tried various approach directions, but just ended up scratched & bleeding and spiked by the savage thorn bushes. The family's chief puzzle solver said to give it up, but I couldn't let it go and went in over the top of the foliage. Eventually spotted a likely hiding spot, and after much swearing & cursing I uncovered the hide and had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found, then extracted myself from the foliage.
The cache's Terrain rating may need adjusting if the cache is to remain in it's current location. TFTC AsTheCrowsFly, I think [B)]

Don’t know why oldmorty and I missed this cache last time we were here.
Short walk into the bush to GZ and found the cache.
Did not like the rain. Did not like the thistles. Did not like the blackberries. And did not like getting wet.
Positive -I found the cache.

Down from the Eastern Suburbs with frazeydaze to attend the Cito at Alexander Lake and find a few other unfound caches around town. Pulled up near gz and realised that we had been here a few weeks ago for part of an Adventure Lab cache. Frazeydaze did the honours here as she had the long pants on and I didn't like the look of those blackberries. I'd had a brush with them earlier in the week; not fun. TFTC AsTheCrowsFly.
Out and about with Team FATZ (Fox in Jox, AngelG27, TikvaNZ and ZQX) on a mission to Moss Vale.

Out on a day caching mission to the Southern Highlands with TikvaNZ, Fox in Jox and ZQX. Mainly to pick up the newish wherigo series at Moss Vale, but also a few other interesting caches along the way. We picked a gorgeous day for the mission, blue skies and mild temperatures. A fun day out.
This cache: quick find by Fox as we were in the area!
Thanks AsTheCrowsFly' for the cache and the fun!

In Mittagong today for Orienteering around beautiful Lake Alexandra. Wouldn't you know it, I probably ran within 15m of the cache this morning! A nice quick find this afternoon, tftc!
Today is a big day for Littl3Vix and I, its the day she got her 200th and also just cause general geo trouble in the Southern Highlands, which is almost untouched by us, because plans have always fallen through until now. So far we have made good progress, this being find number 17 for the day. We had a lot of fun here and checked out the nearby plaque before heading up to GZ, I went a bit too far but found and easy way back in and over to the cache. A nice easy find here in what was the obvious spot to me. Thanks for the cache!
So today is the day, I am finally got my 200th Both Mizcupcake and I have been organising a run down to the Southern Highlands for some time but plans had always fell through. Finally making our way back and getting a nice and early start, the sunshine in Spring makes for a great day. This is find number 17 for today with no DNFs. Noticing this one when doing multis close by we headed over. Learning about the local history and getting up close was great. This one was a short walk up but not to the top A great cache that had a TB i picked up today to take to some local beaches. TFTC!
On a day out where we planned to do some geocaching. Most of our plans were stymied by bad weather, but we did manage enough clear sky to learn about adventure labs. While logging the nearby AL, Halcyon123 was nice enough to trek through the damp (I wussed out due to my fear of leeches after a previous geocaching adventure) to grab this one for us while I ‘supervised’ from nearby TFTC
Tftc nice and easy one still in good nick still had the seashell travel bug in it
While doing the nearby AL we quickly grabbed this cache. After a tiny bit of bush bashing it was a quick find. An awesome monument which were so thankful to have visited - never knew this cool history of the area. Left TB. TFTC!
Out for a morning walk with the family before Christmas brunch so I thought to introduce the nephews to “treasure hunting”, whilst they were more interested in the sticks around than the actual treasure, I still intend on getting them hooked on this hobby eventually. TFTC
Stopped to get a few caches despite hating caching in summer. Ideal to have two caches for one break. We can't believe the rubbish strewn around the area - great spot for a CITO. Thanks AsTheCrowsFly.
One stop and two caches - ideal! Came away for a few days to see the sights and collect a few caches. Thanks for this one.
While out wandering our way through a very interesting Adventure Lab we came in search of this cache which was quickly located once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Another great day on our one-year tripp around Australia. We love to travel in this country and we love to look for geocaches. This geocache has again shown us a place that we might not have visited without geocache.
Thank you for the geocache !
Greetings from Switzerland.

Stopped off in Mittagong for some lunch on our way to Canberra today (our first stop on a 5 week road trip to Tasmania) and since we weren't in any great hurry, I took the opportunity to check out Mittagong's (or should I say New Sheffield's) industrial past while we were here.
I thoroughly enjoyed this detour into history and loved that I could pick up 3 smilies for the price of one here. Thanks to powerplayx2 and to AsTheCrowsFly for this one.

Stepped on a branch it bounced and hit me in the mouth, dont mess with Mother Nature, now I taste iron...
Classic caching error. We started in the right place and walked around the long way before turning back to find the path. Once we were on the right path it was a quick find and a quick walk back out.

Another example of why geocaching is so good by bringing us to the site of the first blast furnace in Australia. A great hiding place. Pen not working so photo of cache
This took a significant amount of searching, but we eventually got around to it. Tried not to cache casual, we weren’t expecting kids to be hanging around the nearby bus stop but we got it sorted eventually.
Found with Orrsome86 on a trip down here to find all the solved puzzles before they get archived and get our last mystery at the museum souvenir. We set out at a reasonable hour, made good time down, then smashed out all the finds, with almost no difficulty, which is very unusual for us, with a 100% find rate for today. Lots of different puzzles and cache types.
Thanks for the great day out and the cache!

The Day
I had a lot of solved puzzles down this way and with the risk of them being archived before i found them i asked Tombi and the_garbageman if they were keen for a day in this area. the_garbageman had to abort plans to come with us due to family commitments so Tombi and I set off in his car. I left the ladder at home which made for a more comfortable drive as we would have had to squeeze it in the car. Luckily, we didn't miss it when we got to some of the higher terrain caches. It was a lot colder down here than home and i was glad i packed my beanie and gloves. Aside from the cold wind in spots it was a great day finding puzzles, earth caches a virtual and a lab cache.
In the area for part of the lab cache we found this traditional and the earth cache. A quick find in the logical spot. TFTC

Have driven past here many times without knowing this part os Australia’s history. Thanks for keeping this going.
On the way back to Melbourne after staying in Sydney for the OzGeo Mega - Bunadoorian and I thought we would stop here as we had never been here before. Bunadoorian found this cache before I got there. TFTC powerplayx2 and As The CrowsFly'
As per standard practice I found the least desirable way in and the easiest way out. Nice hide. TFTC.
Found with Joolay after attending the Oz Geomuster and picking up other locations. TFTC
Quick find with Kittykatch on our way home from the Mega. Turned col but good to have this one. TFTC
I have found the caches and information based on the iron industry in Mittagong quite facinating. Came back here after completing the labs at a very unexpected feature. Football practice going on below but I was well out of sight of them. Another rubbish dump in here - I can never understand that. TFTC # 14,158
Travelling back to Canberra after the geomuster so decided to complete the Mittagong Adventure Lab and also pick up some other cachers along the way. I made this one difficult for myself - only after completing the adventure lab did I realise there was a cache here. So back I went to sign the log!
On my way to the gong mega with my Dad Brislions. And I finally have premium to log this cache. I may have signed as FlamingShadow333. TFTC
Like many other Cachers - Aquilus1, Tankengine and I were up for the GeoMuster, but we could only stay for just Saturday and Sunday to be able to return home for work on Monday.
On the way home we thought we would pick up a couple of caches on the way. As we were right in the area here for an AL, an Earth cache and this trad it was a nice stop.
The area is really nice and it was a pleasure to find this one. Tftc AsTheCrowsFly!!!

Was in the area for the OZgeomuster19 with GreyHams, dty73, and Tankengine, although GreyHams was only able to join us for some of the weekend. Not a lot of time but still managed a good amount with the Adventure Labs, Geoart, some oldies, lots of good sized containers, and some good DT caches as well.
Nice area to visit and some great targeted caches along the way, of course being a mega weekend it was heaving with geocaches and we met many along the way at caches, many times stopping at caches with many cars and caches at a time.
Canberra had a mass group attending and was always good to bump into many along the way, as well as back on site. Loci612 joined us for a large amount of the geoart and lots of fun times by all. Always good to have the backing of our friendly community!
Thanks to all the CO's for your caches, unless noted otherwise all was found easily and in good condition. Having left the mega and heading home with D73 and TE we stopped in here on our way. A nice quick find, with the bonus of an AL and an Earthcache before heading off again.

Lokipagan and I were in the area doing Lab caches - when it came to my attention there was a tradtional nearby. Well - it would be incredibly rude not to grab it...
My phone tried to lead me in areas I shouldn't go.. but it eventually righted itself and I found myself at a likely area. I brough the cache to light and signed the log. It was in good condition.
A very worthy area for a cache. TFTC AsTheCrowsFly

Caching with Georode today and it was time to hit up Bowral with a great variety of caches to be collected. I’ve been to Bowral a few times before but it was nice to spend some more time here today and especially in the two big parks where I enjoyed the walk in the peace and relative quiet. Some some evidence of freshly dug wombat (?) holes in the koala park.
Completing the Adventure Lab and this was a bonus find.

We were doing the lab cache and found ourselves nearby. Headed over for a quick look and found quickly. Thanks for the cache
If golems weren’t bad enough. Some clever bugger on the street of Cunning Artificers has gotten together with a wizard and now I have 7ft iron men clattering around the city looking for work. CMOT Dibbler has started recruiting and now the echoing cries of “sausage ona bun” is ringing through the streets.
