Out with the lovely echidna44 for a day caching. Lots of shower activity was forecast but we managed to dodge them.A lovely little bushland oasis with a discreet cache to help me discover it TFTC Earthbound Chief
I was over this side of town to visit family and wanted a Multi today for a challenge that I am working on. The problem was that I had spent almost all of my caching time chasing a First To Find successfully, I might add. With no more than 15 minutes caching time left, I wanted a nice, simple Multi and this seemed to fit the bill! The information was easy to gather the calculations quite simple and the readily found. All in all, a successful hunt as I had found the cache I needed and I arrived on time! Thanks Earthbound Chief for this interesting little Multi.
We were out for a walk with the geo-dog hoping to give her a run of the oval but the footy was on. After completing the calculations this was a quick find. TFTC!
I loved the fountain where you start this multi, although I suspect it hasnt been a fountain for many a year. Working out the coordinates was quite confusing and my initial set sent me to the wrong location. Driving around we discovered another park which fitted the description and hint. After a significant exploration of that park, I sat in the welcome air conditioning of the car and found my mistake- subtracting one in one point made a big difference. We went back to the original park and after a short walk into that park I found something that fitted the hint and eventually found the cache in 35 temperatures! Right coordinates help!
A very interesting story. Thanks Earthbound Chief for this quick little multi.. the memorial is pretty interesting too.
After my biggest month caching in April, I realised that the month of May was almost over and I had done much caching at all. As such, I thought I should go out and find a few more geocaches on the last day of May. I selected this Beaumaris area again for my dusk-ish adventure. Pleased to have no DNFs.
I needed a Multicache for today, so stopped here first. A few people walking past but none paid any attention to me staring at the monument for Donald MacDonald. Then it was a nice walk to the final. The gate was padlocked but as suggested I was able to find the container easily without jumping any fences.
Thanks for the cache Earth Bound Chief.

Very sneaky hide.. Great little multi to complete with echidna44, as we had our lunch in the sun! Thanks for this one Earthbound Chief
A beautiful sunny day, perfect for caching in the Beaumaris area with pinnacle333.
A simple multi in beautiful bush land, and a lovely place to have our lunch. A sneaky hide. Thanks for showing this reserve Earthbound Chief.

Caz who did the cache with me grew in this street! That was a nice walk through bush and time.
Found it! A few minutes of searching. The hint eventually led us straight to the cache
Cache exactly were hint said it would be, the obvious are sometimes the hardest to find TFTC

After getting a nice little haircut today, and with my client postponing work for another week, left me with the rest of the day to go out and about and enjoy today's lovely weather.
With my eyes set on the general bayside area which I have clearly been unintentionally ignoring for the longest time. All in all had a brilliant day out in the sun. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure

Was out this way to watch a friends footy match and just had to look for local caches! Love it
Not sure what we did wrong but we had to go back and do our math again before we could make the find. Thanks for placing this in a great area to explore.
Some after work hump-day caching with RoamingHowie, targetting a couple of bayside LGAs.
Certainly helps if you read the description properly or include everything when copy-pasting questions into notes. Got there in the end. Great little park.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Earthbound Chief

I needed to take a break from the last couple of days of planning so I teamed up with OzHockeyChick for some post work caching.
It pays to read the cache description first… and properly. Halfway through the information gathering process and the maths didn’t seem to work. Ahhh yes, something I joked about earlier wasn’t a joke at all it seems!
Now that we were better educated the numbers fell into place and we set off to make a relatively quick find at GZ which was fortunately muggle free.
Thanks Earthbound Chief for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Working on my multi month challenge. This was a nice quick little multi. TFTC
So glad to be out of lockdown and caching once more. Today I am caching alone, with my usual caching buddy unable to join me on this fine day. A multi with some interesting info on mr McDonald. I soon had my set of numbers and headed off to GZ. Met a couple of muggles with dogs so had to time my picking up of the cache carefully. Once located, I signed the log and returned the cache. Thanks for the interesting multi Chief's.
I mistook a plus for a minus so this multi took longer than it should have. Once I had sorted out my error and had the correct final location, the well camoed cache was found quickly and easily.
TFTC Earthbound Chief! We would never have come to this amazing reserve without your GC- loved the history of Donald.

A beautiful little well-maintained park, and a beautiful statue. Enjoying returning to caching on this stunning Melbourne day. I'd all but given up when Mr A spotted the well camo'd cache and then the smiley was ours. TFTC
Our first caching trip this side of the bay for quite sometime saw us gathering solved puzzles, working through a few multis and best of all enjoying some Adventure labs.
This lovely park had many muggles enjoying a walk around the perimeter so we took a quick photo of the relevant information and then went back to the car to work through the clues. Once we had a GZ we made our way in, to locate the cache and add our team name to the logbook.
Thanks Earthbound Chief for the interesting multi placement.

I'm working on my 365 finds for everyday of the year. This was a date which was blank and needed filling. So I made my way over and collected all the information I needed to work out the GZ. It didn't take me as long as I thought it would and soon I was headed to GZ.
A lovely walk taking in all the sights and sounds. So much bird life here. I got distracted by the locked gate but realised soon enough where I needed to go. GZ and cache was found quickly. The cache and log is in good condition. It's funny how something can exist in an area but unless you are a geocacher, there's no way you'd be aware of it unless you accidentally stumbled upon it which is unlikely.
After signing the log, a beautiful bird perched itself on a branch and sung me a song farewell.
Thank you for the cache here Earthbound Chief

I found this about a week ago with GeoSon and completely forgot to log it. I just noticed it’s still showing as unlogged.
Well this is a local cache for me and we found the puzzle pretty fun and easy.
A short walk soon had us in the vicinity of GZ and a quick search was underway. I think we went to the wrong area identified in the hint, but soon spread the search radius and bingo it was found by GeoSon.
Cache, container and log are in excellent condition.
We visited 4TB.

Disabled due to Covid Stay at Home restrictions. Will re-enable when restrictions ease.
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis.
I was hoping to able to avoid this step. Although exercise is ok, beaches, playgrounds, parks etc are being closed, and we are being asked to stay home.
The possibility to transmit the virus by surface contact exists, and with so little being known how long viral RNA stays viable on surfaces why take a risk?
At the end of the day, geocaching is a game, it is non essential and we are dealing with a serious Public Health emergency.
As we keep seeing people continuing to search for our caches I feel the only responsible thing to do is disable all our caches to discourage this until the crisis passes.
Thanks.

Out cycling and getting some previous DNF's. This one today was a nice quick multi that has a different GZ to my previous visit. Worked out coords and set off to find. Spotted pretty much straight away. Log signed and all back safe again.
Thanks Earthbound Chief

Great little puzzle that took a few mins to figure out, cache was shortly in hand, signed and returned the log where found. Found with TroyfindZ. TFTC!
Worked out the location using the memorial stone. Figured out I counted the wrong words so I had to recalculate them again. Eventually cache was found all in good order with new logs. Thanks for the find. Was a nice walk through a park which is getting some construction and upgrades done.
The cache has moved away from where it gets meddled with to another location where hopefully it lasts another 10 years or so!
Had the kids out today for a school holiday hunt, they loved the puzzle and cracking the code, but sadly when we got to the location all we found were a couple of waterlogged geocaching notes torn and scattered on the ground. Looks like this one needs some TLC, unfortunately, but full credit for a fun exercise and hopefully it’s back in business soon
We are going to disable this until we can go check it out. Currently traveling through Europe so the first chance we will get will be end of July
Sadly a DNF here today. I did a pretty good search over a largest area. Pretty confident I was in the right spot.
Will put a watch on this one.

Find 3 on a gorgeous autumn day in Beaumaris. Interesting to read a bit about such an important local character. I hope I get a memorial when I die, but I guess I'll have to do a few more interesting/important things to warrant it. Geowife did the puzzle work, and I made the find easily enough. A bit damp, but able to sign it. TFTC Earthbound Chief.
Our 3rd find of the day, all thanks to the wonderful Earthbound Chief's hides (pure coincidence!). My left-side brain leanings had me solving the puzzle quickly, where my right-brain geohubby had him uncovering the 3rd hide in a row. Log a little damp, but I'd forgotten my plastic bag/ziplock. Sorry. TFTC.

Thanks for the nice new log. A few calculations and the geo kids were off searching. Although they did not wait for the gps but dad made the find while relaxing and watching the little ones

MontsII headed out caching on his own today, and managed to find this cache. He liked the hide, but said that the log & container need replacing. (The container is missing a lid leading to a wet log). I’m sorry my log is bland, but he won’t write his own log, and extracting information from him is like blood from a stone... Thank you so much for placing this cache for everybody to enjoy Earthbound Chief

"International Earthcache Day" - a check for our closest unfound earthcache. Great, just 36kms away! Ahoy me hearties - way across the bay!
After attending the "Come and Visit Parkville Nov 2018 - Mordialloc" Event, this is one of a variety of caches we found as we made our way back to the other side of the bay.
The numbers were soon in hand and after checking some previous logs, soon had the cache in hand.
**Feedback to CO:** While the log itself is dry the container is broken, maybe needs a refresh please.
Thanks to 'Earthbound Chief' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.

Cache broken and needs maintenance, log very wet and soggy, can’t get out of the container, Sinornithosaurus has provided a photo as evidence of what the cache unfortunately looks like ( TFTC anyway, really enjoyed the multi aspect to it )
It seems the old cache (that was missing in January) has reappeared, there may well be 2 caches in place. We are currently in Qld. Will check on it when we return.
I really enjoyed this multi on a day out in the local area. Unfortunately the cache container is damaged and I was unable to sign the log, but still got the thrill of solving this multi in a beautiful area TFTC.
We solved the multi reasonably easy but had no joy locating the cache. The location and the clue seem to match. Given the last log - is it gone?
We found it
Sadly it is
Soggy and
Ruined, we hope you all have good luck finding the geocache, don't forget to use the CLUES.

I had been here before and had the information before Lochb and I arrived today. At Gz we found a cache after looking for a while. We not sure if we had found the right thing or not. The log was unusable so we added a piece of paper. Thanks Earthbound Chief

Found it. But think I found an old container as it has old names and is saturated. But signed as good as I could. Tftc
Think someone may be messing with this cache, it is no longer hidden in the way it once was. It’s very close however, so no need to change any numbers. There is a new cache container in place.
Gathered the information easily enough, and GZ looked very reasonable but after a serious hunt, I couldn't find the cache. I wonder if the previous find was accidentally logged on the wrong cache?
Pretty easy find.... just walking the dogs and decided to have a look. Though we couldn't quite see the oval when we found it
Found after a bit of searching but couldn't sign the log as it was completely sodden! Needs a new log and a plastic bag for the upcoming winter! TFTC

Determined the final coordinates and then went off in search. Searched a few likely spots but the iPhone was a little variable. In the end resorted to the hint and found not long after. Log was soaked and a little difficult to sign. Probably needs replacement in ziplock bag. TFTC
Fabulous little remnant bush reserve. With the first bit quickly knocked over, went in search of the finale. Searched quite a few spots before success. The log was a sodden mess and is in need of maintence.. thanks..!!
This was probably the longest find of the day but we were looking in the wrong spot. My younger brother eventually found it.
We counted. [8)]
We rechecked. [^]
We walked around.
We tried not to think of the big golden arches but it was pretty hard.
We did not go to Maccas. We proceeded to cache the cache then have a drink of water. We kept it all healthy.
Thanks to Earthbound Chief and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Came along here a week or so ago and grab the clues. This morning Over breakfast I quickly worked out the co ordinates and found myself going out into the middle of the bay. I took it to work and went over the calculations and corrected myself. Headed out after work to make the find. Interesting story and thank you for bringing me here.
A quick retrieval of the required numbers, substituted the numbers for the letters and entered them into the GPSr.
Bad return.........! (not again, this is happening all too often by me!)
Recheck, recheck again, spotted the error! Off to GZ for a quick find, sign and replace
Sat and relaxed for a minute or two, quaint park, quite shielded from the external noises
Many thanx to Earthbound Chief

So i put three jumpers on and jumped on my bike and braved the cold and got some caches this was one, I rolled up to this fountain and found the information of what i needed for the cache, i filled out the clues and put them into my phone i made the short walk over to GZ i soon found the cache, a very quick find surprised that this cache was not soaked, anyway i signed the logbook and moved on

#50. Had a 'little' help, thanks geokid! A great spot to ponder interesting history of Mr. McDonald. TFTC.
Came here after leaving a nearby cache location unsuccessful. Very easy cache found in about 30 seconds when using the hint. P.S it's an eclipse container.
Today I continued with my quest to qualify for the Multicache Month Challenge however with only 5 days left of the month I find myself just over half way. I have a lot of catching up to do.
The area was deserted so I quickly collected the required information and made a quick find. TFTC.

Find #6 for my Multi-Month Challenge and Find #3 at 12.23pm for my 24 caches in 24 hours using (mainly) multis challenge. This took me longer than it should've mainly because I didn't read the hint immediately and decided the vegetation would make a great hide. Oh well, a bit more exercise never hurt anyone.
Thanks for bringing me here, EC. A great tribute to someone who exemplified the best traditions of the press. I'm sure he'd be turning in his grave if he knew what newspapers had become. Most likely he would've parlayed his journalism into punditry or become a book author at the midpoint in his career as so many decent journalists have done over the last decade.

I'm happy that I have got a cache named after a guy called Donald McDonald. Just a quick walk with kids trying out their new Christmas scooters.
Our first multi. We live around the corner but have just learnt about who Donald McDonald was from this, thanks.
If I see a multi on my 'nearby' map I will generally visit it as first priority. I guess I like the promise of a little number-crunching I can potentially mess up. So, being in the area, I ended up at this curious statue of someone whose name was vaguely familiar. The offset was determined without incident, I learned a little about Mr MacDonald, and then the search at GZ was quite straightforward. Cool. Thanks again Earthbound Chief!
Second cache out of six today. Very interesting monument and a nice park as well. I was getting worried after not finding the cache on the first structure that I saw but luckily it was on the other. TFTC Earthbound Chief!
Found by Mary & David at 1430. Always a good feeling when your calculations end in a successful cache find. Had fun picturing you in one of the luxury houses around here. We love learning something from a cache, and this one succeeded admirably. Sadly, so many cachers don't do multis because of the perceived time factor. Cache snug and dry. Our thanks to Earthbound Chief.
