Been to check and there is no spot left to hide a cache that I would put one, so this one's consigned to history now.
Checked both of the ‘halves’ on all sides, but no luck. We got GZ to be somewhere in the middle of the water too.
Obvious spot or not, I couldn't find it today either with or without the hint.
Found with Old Boots. Our 2 GPS led us a merry dance. We were quite confused. TFTC
All credit goes to Sobad here. Mrs was walking with the GPS saying it seems to be along here - he looked at the obvious cause of the cache name that she had walked right past and waved the cache at her. Really odd. Thanks
Very easy find - mostly because the cache was exposed. Signed and hidden again. TFTC (#203, 10.17am)
Cool tree - seems to cling to life despite a big disadvantage.
Thanks, Jackie & Grant
Thanks, Jackie & Grant
Strangely pleasing spicy smell from nearby factory. Sweet little spot for cache.
Wow what happened to the rest of it. Very nice unique place to put a cache. Thanks for the interesting spot =)
Although GZ was displayed as being in the middle of the pond, we are slowly getting used to finding NZ caches 10m away from listed co-ords.

Poor tree look half dead. Cache a bit obvious, so re-hid a bit better.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Had to run back to the car for a pen, but apart from that went without a hitch. Still there despite all that rain! TFTC
Last find in a day of diverse Geocaching. Walked for 5 hours return for one cache this morning. Then picked up four finds in a little over 30 minutes this afternoon while in town . Interesting little walkway and certainly an interesting tree. GPR had me 5 metres away in the stream but you just need to tell it whose boss sometimes. That’s it for today, off to Pohara for an ice-cream. SL TFTC
Took us two visits, as we were staying at the nearby campsite and had one attempt last night. Nothing likely seen on the first visit, but read the cache information fully and returned this morning to find the correct spot. Quick find this time. SL. TFTC.
Found on very hot day in Takaka. The locals are desperate for water. Lovely spot.
Quite a double act - the trees I mean. Kiwi Explorer stood around bemused while I did the searching on this one today. Found the cache, eventually, but not quite where I expected it. TFTC, Biggles.
1330hrs What a neat tree. The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
TFTC, our 4th for today. Followed by a quiet lunch at our favourite Golden Bay Cafe - the Wholemeal Cafe.
Last cache before heading to the blue penguin for lunch which wasn't up to there past standard sorry to say TFTC
Just a short stop while heading to our accommodation for the night. Thanks for another great weekend.
After overshooting the parking for this one finally got parked and raced in for the cache. Good naming and once the gps put us near cache was soon in hand. TFTC
Had fun driving in circles till spotting where we were heading and then finding somewhere to park with much laughing our party made it to the correct co-ordinates and soon cache was in hand thanks for bringing us to a pretty spot done with hubby Stretch0 and team Liquorboy09 thanks for the cache
After being taken on a little drive by Stretch0 & Niteowlnz finally found this great little spot.
Nice One!!!!!!!!! After three finds on "the hill", we decided to go for a few in the Takaka area. Good move. Really had a great afternoon. Neat little reserve and walkway. Takaka has so much more to offer than just a trip over the hill. Must return in the near future to clean up the rest. Well done! Thanks
driving past, so stopped....oops, not in GPS either. Quickly find Coords, and ...oh, I am nearly there ! . Surprised this was still blank. good cache
