I have this one a go while I was up here, but no luck today. Hope it hasn't fallen off and got lost
Gehschei and Horn found this one lying on the ground today. Thanks for rehiding it!
Finally found this one!Last time I was here, I was 24 hours too late and roadworks had just rendered GZ inaccessible. This time, with freshly rendered landscape in the vicinity, I set out with a colleague to finally tick this one off. Unfortunately, this simple yet deceptive hide manage to evade both of our attentions for long enough that I found myself contacting the CO to confirm its whereabouts.I am happy to confirm that this little beast is still in place and ready to be found. Thanks to The Empire. I will return to tackle your ad lab soon.
Replaced this morning. Though work is still ongoing in the area, the geocache should be good to go for a while.-M
Enabling. Back up and running with a new Adventure Lab and virtual cache nearby, this geocache should be good to go for a while.-M
Checked in on this one. Almost there with the nearby roadworks and should be back soon, perhaps during the September holidays. Thanks for your patience.-M
Renovations are still underway at GZ. This cache will be back when they are finished. Doesnt look too long now. -M
Looks like this one is still there albeit, behind a fence! Lets give the workers some time to improve the area and well re-enable soon. Thanks for the heads up from helpful cachers. -M
Sadly, it looks like the council has other ideas for this area, as of this week.
Decided to do a quick detour on our way to the markets on our weekend Melbourne trip.Very quick find - log is very full. May need to be replaced shortly and a new bag.
In Melbourne for work & staying nearby so after dinner headed to look for this one. After looking in a few wrong places & widening my search had the cache in hand & managed to squeeze my name into a space on the log. TFTC The Empire
Was in the city for some Rotary training so grabbed the opportunity for a quick cache. Hidden in plain sight. TNLN. T4TCCheers, Ric
immediately spotted this one at GZ but it did take a while to get myself to the correct GZ. relied on the caches physical location on the map rather than gps. spotted on approach. could use a fresh logsheet (very full!) and a new ziplock. thanks for the history!
Wow, this one is really bold and clever! Took us a little while but definitely a fav point. TFTC
Arrived in Melbourne after a big few days up in Canberra at the mega and after getting settle at my mates we took the dog for a walk and passed by here where I stopped to make the quick find at GZ.Thanks go to The Empire for placing and maintaining the Traditional cache QVM Cemetery II for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 16:29 on 2/4/2024.This is find number 8795 for me.
Today we had a tour of Melbourne city centre on the agenda. Of course, a few new smileys on the map were a must. This was also found quickly and easily. TFTC
Such an open location and very obvious that you stand out while doing it. Log was full but still made our mark. First cache in VIC for us TFTC
Day 14 of our roadtrip in Australia. Well, no roadtrip today, as we're still in Melbourne. Today we'll be exploring the parts outside of CBD, starting in the north, then south of Yarra and east where all the sports related stuff happens. Well, if we make it that far, there's so much to see here . Pretty much impossible to do this one without being seen, but obviously it has survived so far. Thanks and kind regards from Switzerland, Hinni&Simo
Cool cache after QVM. Might need new log as this one is full. W/ Caperdoodle1
I'm not quite sure, but it might be that we didn't find this one on our last trip to Melbourne 4 years ago.Today, it was a matter of seconds. TFTCacheld
Mrs. Amazing and I are on a three week trip in New Zealand and Australia as part of our bucket list. This is one of the geocaches we got along the way. We let our tour guide find this one. It definitely gets a favorite point from me. Thanks so much for putting this one out as well as feeding my insatiable addiction!
Great camouflage! Felt kinda weird searching for it in the middle of a roundabout though didn't have my geocache info sheet I usually have handy in case the cops approaches, but fortunately nothing happened. TFTC!
Snel gevonden.
[9075] Holidays in Australia, day 18, final day. This night we go home to Europe, but we used the last day to explore the city of Melbourne by foot. It was a hot day and we enjoyed the shadow in the alleys, lanes and shopping arcades. We found some traditional geocaches and played some virtuals, so we got a good impression of the town. This one belonged to our finds. TFTC!
A huge thank you to the cache owner for creating and maintaining a wonderful cache. EP79 and I have embarked on a three-month long geocaching trip across the globe, and we are both grateful and thrilled to discover new places and new friends. The first part of our trip is dedicated to Australia and New Zealand. We arrived in Melbourne on the Overland yesterday and settled in. Today, we went to the city centre exploring the parks and streets and geocaching on the way. QVM Cemetery II was our second cache, and we had no problems with the find.Sorry for logging with a delay. The trip was really busy, but at least I get to revisit these caches again and enjoy great memories. Many thanks for the invite to a beautiful place and for a wonderful geocaching adventure. Greetings from Prague, the Czech Republic, Europe.
Thank you for the cache!I arrived to Melbourne yesterday from Adelaide on the Overland, which was an amazing journey across spectacular landscape, and I saw my first kangaroo! I'm travelling and geocaching with my bestfriend Ironford, and today we spent in the centre of Melbourne. We weren't lucky with the opening days of the market, but we did get the cache. The area was fairly calm, since it wasn't market day, there were just some noisy seagulls quarelling.
Neat hide close to my hotel. Picking it up was more difficult than putting it back. This is my final find in Australia while on holiday. TFTC from the UK.
After a fun scoot from the State Library this was a nice easy find. Having seen this type of hide before, I was able to spot it from some distance away and although there are plenty of people about most are too interested in their phones to pay me much attention. Thanks for highlighting this piece of Melbourne history too. It just goes to show that even permanent memorials dont really last all that long. Seize the day! QVM Cemetery II is find number 3,351 for me. A fun micro traditional cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in City Of Melbourne. Unless otherwise mentioned above, I found the coordinates to be accurate, the cache in good condition and the log dry and with plenty of room to sign. I am logging this one on Thursday 29 Feb 2024 at 4:18 pm and the weather is Overcast Clouds 29C 23% 4 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy The Empire.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Quick and easy find once I got to GZ, which it didnt seem like I could do. Leap day cache! TFTC
This one is near my walk to work and, having been a bit early this morning, I swung by for a look. On approach to gz I had reason to lack confidence in a find due to some serious works, however recent logs gave me some encouragement. After looking around for some reasonable hiding spots, something stuck out and I had my hands on it. I forgot a pen when leaving home so got one at work and signed the log on the way back this afternoon. Tftc
The DownUnder 2024 team is travelling in Australia and New Zealand. We also used our stopover in Doha to cache. We met interesting places, friendly people and we had great experiences. Some caches led us to beautiful areas, historical events or hotspots on site. I try to publish my own pictures in the log as far as possible. Sometimes I also stand in logbooks with my nickname, often I have renounced to save space. We agreed that only one desired answer will be sent at a time. I hope all owners also think rationally. Thanks for all the experiences.
I had been suffering cache withdrawals having not found a cache for over two weeks.Today there was an opportunity as we were visiting the Vic Market and so I pounced.Knowing there was a recent DNF I was skeptical, especially as I approached GZ.Not to worry however, it was soon found hidden in plain sight where muggles should never find it.Thanks for the cache The Empire, and helping me end my two week drought ??.Cache and log in great condition.
Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA JOURNEY takes us to beautiful places and provides us with an incredible number of wonderful moments and experiences.Occasionally we also visit a few GeoCaches along the way.The large market with its many colorful stalls was very entertaining...??. We stocked up on fresh vegetables for the next few days...????????????????? and other goodies...??! We feared that the cache was no longer there because of the building work. But no problem, the "cheeky little one" is still there...??! Our name quickly appeared on the guest list...??.Thank you for placing, maintaining and caring snapfish2 from Switzerland????PS: Translated with the Deepl app??

Vielen Dank fr den CacheSimowlAs a group of 38 geocachers we set off from Germany, Denmark and Switzerland. After a stopover in Doha, Qatar, we went to Australia, where we stayed in Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns. Then we went on to New Zealand...As Team Downunder2024, we entered the logbooks we found. Thanks for the cacheSimowl
Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.
Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. Found this cache on a 21-day trip to Australia and New Zealand with a night of stopover in Qatar. In Qatar we have an evening and almost a full day of geocaching before we take the long flight to Downunder. In Australia we will visit the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, and Cairns. Our stays in New Zealand will be in Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown. We are a group of 38 Geocachers from Germany and Denmark - At geocaches that we visit as a group, we sign the logbooks with our team-name "Team DownUnder24" to safe the owners a lot of space in the logbooks.TFTC, Team Zyanor
