No luck with this one. Found the hidey-hole that we suspected it may have once been, but sadly the cupboard was found to be in a similar state to some of the swimmers.
out for an afternoon walk & thought we'd do a bit of geocaching along the way. Couldn't find this one.
Located easily but then had to take in lots of sights as we waited for muggles to move on. TFTC
It certainly was a great day for muggles - the carpark was overflowing, and there were continuous crowds on the tracks! Thankfully we (jillopy&return2nai, the DIMwits and I) were able to find the cache in a brief lull between walkers. Great view - and would be greater if some of the bush was trimmed back! TFTC!
Stopped here on our walk and lo and behold there was a cache! Snaffled by jillopy in a break from the muggles, TFTC!
Searched with soodex for this last caache of the day. Took bit of effort to get to GZ as we returned up many steps having missed its location on the way down. Once there found quickly
Did this with BrandR. Had already done the windows walk and returned to the bridge. Checked the GPS and realised we had bypassed this one. So up the stairs again for another cardio workout and luckily a quick find. TFTC
Boxing day caching with Yugs & MATP, lovely day and nice walking through the Gorge, quick find by Mr MATP, tftc
I took me several attempts to find the correct path up here, but in the end it was actually quite easy!
Thanks for the view! Wiesel Flink,

After the walk through the tunnel we found this cache quikly.

Found at 7:30 AM GAFF1 in the company of Phetlern. Finding the right track was an interesting exercise and we saw a lot more in our exploration efforts than we were intended to we think At one stage we were within 35 metres of GZ, but there was a dense forest in the way and it looked like it was straight up and down again - so we went around.
Interesting method of extracting the gold from the ore - never seen that before.
Thanks cashkids

The final day of traveling around NZ in campervan convoy with Pprass, our camping spot for tonight is locked in as the clean up must be done before returning the vans tomorrow morning. After a few false starts we were on track towards the cache. What a fascinating area to explore, the pictures indicate this to have been a hive of activity in earlier times.
Picked up the Trackable Delta6 Globetrotter (TB4BDPW) and will move it to Australia.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt cashkids.

Found in the company of oz n nz when visiting area while on holiday in New Zealand. TNLN TFTC.
We walk along here from time to time and thought we should really check to see if any caches were around, so very pleased to find that there are some. Good spot here and we were surprised that our little GPS worked so well. Fortunately not many muggles about although it was a glorious day to be out and about. TFTC
Easy find, once you get on the right path that is. Greenslime and i enjoyed the little educational walk.
A nice find while on a road trip with TuisReturn. I really love the history here. SL TFTC
Bit of erosion around ground zero
Have cammo'd the hide with a couple of rocks, cos the cache was sitting out in the open.
Great spot, have never followed the path back that way before
Tftc:)

Had walked the riverside track before but not come up here, so thanks for bringing me. Due to the rain, with storm on its way, there were no muggles today, except for the magical muggles I had with me (my parents). TFTC
Last one for the day after a big day caching in Waihi and then attending the event cache. Good to finally knock this one off as it is also one that i have been meaning to get for a long time.
That's why I like GC so much. I would never have stopped here if it wasn't for this cache.. And what an interesting area with stunning views.. TFTC

AMAZIG PLACE! Thank you do much for this cache, I love this place. Its such a treat to find a spot like this.
And muggles there were... but they turned and left straight away when they saw Leon with his strangely deformed oatmeal face. Great spot and cool hide. T4TC
Due to some quirk of the App, we only had the first line of the description. Had a search above the ruins, but the co-ordinates wanted me 20m up the cliff. Went up 10m, but terrain level was well past 3, and the cache title definitely didn't apply, so I had to be doing it wrong. Tried up the side trail, but it was taking me away, and with Mrs Jacksonz patiently waiting across the bridge with the bikes I reluctantly gave it away for this trip. Looking at the full description now, I guess I should've gone a bit further. Thanks for the adventure.
Had the same problem as Jacksonz last year.
You just need to go a little bit further up the track - easy find.
Plenty of muggles today.

Found with Gnomes Hunters while enjoying the very interesting walkway here. Took geocoin. TFTC
Quick stop at this cache after a nice afternoon exploring the mining tunnels. TFTC
Lots of muggles coming and going, cramping my style a bit. But I remained patient and the job was eventually done.
Thank you for taking us here. We all really enjoyed the walk, the view and sharing the history with the little ones.
Three weeks I traveled on the North Island of New Zealand. I ´ve found a lot of beautiful caches. This was one of them.

Almost killed myself trying to access this one from below! Hahhaha! All scratched up and sweaty I figured out there is a pathway I loved exploring the hill though tftc
Found absolutely accidentally. But a nice surprise Thanks for the cache. Karangahake gorge was very interesting place to see at Coromandel
Second time here. This time found the correct location. This track is a first for me...have walked most of the others. TFTC
Luckily no one around when we dropped by (probably because of all the rain!!!). Great hide, thanks heaps!
It was finally a bright sunny day but just a few muggles there. Straight forward found. TFTC & greetings from Germany
The Gorge was very busy today, but I had GZ to myself, so had no problems. TFTC.
Thankfully it was too early in the season to be really busy with muggles so armed with our Scout group (we were camping at Dickeys Flat Adventure Park for the weekend ) we made a quick find after rock climbing and absailing in the gorge for the morning. What a gorgeous location! Thanks for bringing us to this location, cashkids.
Second time of trying, can't believe I was so dim the first time (was looking down the bottom where the bridge comes over). TFTC
Very easy find, but unfortunately in full view.Added a lump of camouflage. tftc.
We have enjoyed exploring this area in the past. Stopped by today to pick up this cache Hidden Amongst the Muggles. Fortunately no muggles at GZ today, and a nice quick find. Thanks.

Tried to approach from below... got down to 40m only. Then had a recall of the place described in the cache notes. Zigged and zagged, and found the cache!
Found today while on a LONG walk with many others. Lucky the area was muggle free when we arrived.
Amazing place - visited several times before, never knew about the railway line going up the hill!! =)
Found with Team ProPax.

Very clever clues. Interesting area. Found with Dr Rob. Had some anxious moments when we separated to search and then couldn't find one another! TNLN. TFTC.
Awesome walk on our way to family in tauranga. love the holes in the hills and the sway bridges. TFTC
If I had read the instructions properly I wouldn't have had to climb all those steps twice. At least I'm getting fitter and I did need to work off that cream bun and icecream. TFTC from Oz.
#551 - Not too busy today, but nice quick find made it easier all round. Out: GC Gray whale. GC Sextant not there. In: small toy TFTC
Had the cage to ourselves, so easy to complete the formalities. Fog had just lifted so almost the quietest I have seen the area.

Lots of interesting history in this area, enjoyed the walks and looking at all the ruins from the batterys. Looked at some photos over at the cafe that brought the whole area to life - thanks for the placement that bought me here, I have driven past so many times over the years.
#1121 Heading for Waihi for the night, so a bit more time to explore today. Not too many muggles around, quick find. Great View. +TB. SL. TFTC.
Not too many muggles today, only had to wait a few seconds for one to go around the corner. Nice view from GZ
