I've been meaning to get back to find this cache for some time, and I wish I'd made the effort earlier as I believe this one is well and truly gone now.
While out and about with Talla64 and matagouri looking for a puzzle cache GZ, like other recent visitors to the puzzle final we found this cache so it was a bonus. Although it is archived, we couldn't resist signing it. Log and contents all good. Signed T64 and FD (in pencil so it was a bit faint). Thanks for the cache tmann421.
Out with Flowerydaze and matagouri looking for another cache when we came across this one and couldn't resist signing the log even though it was archived. TFTC tmann421
Gosh, a surprise find while ferreting around for another nearby! The cache is in perfect order, log dry and secure. Tftc!
Lets see - my holiday period weekend started normally enough, work finished for the year ... employer shouted lunch and drinks ... got food poisoning and couldn't move for days ... all the usual fun Christmas stuff.
Today was the first day since last week that I have felt well enough to leave the house and I was just sitting down this morning to think about my geocaching plan for the day when 'ding' a new cache appeared within my acceptable chase radius (which, to be fair, is quite wide). I solved the puzzle without any trouble and went off for the find, which was also successfully achieved. After that, it was off to do a few more caches in the area (for, it turns out, as long as my energy levels allowed which wasn't really that long).
This was not one of them - but, one that I was looking for was close by here. As I couldn't immediately find that cache I widened my search circle a bit, and ... found this cache. I was very surprised to open it and find the log contained names dating back to 2011 and was last signed, 25-12-2012. Exactly a decade ago, almost to the day. Amazing.
It is in excellent condition, log is dry and everything. I have let the CO know of the proximity to their (relatively) new cache that is nearby, and they may choose to come and remove this one - but for now, it is still there.

9.45am. A pleasant morning for a walk to the beach. Not a great deal happening here yet. An easy find. Carried on the path to "Happy Feet".
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Good coordinates made for a quick find - a very nice day for a walk in the area. TFTC
Stopped by on a caching trip to Waikanae. Followed by a dog who was most interested in what I was doing. owner wasn't about though. The swan weren't interested - more indignant. They kept up a loud honking for ages. The grass has a sort of weed in it that has tine 0.5mm red flowers so there are these large patches of what at first looks like red grass. quite weird.
I, like everyone else, seached the obvious place first and, like everyone else, got nowhere. Sit down, argue with the swans for a bit, and the dog showed me where to look.

This is another area Netty and I hadn't visited before. I wondered what the clue meant and it wasn't until I actually found the cache that I twigged.
Took a lovely walk with Wandering Dragons, Violet Butterfly and Mycroman from the suggested parking spot to this cache. Reminded me of a Skindo cache Area looks like it will be very nice when built up.. Thanks for the cache and showing us this spot.
Cache #432 - Nice day for a stroll with Violet Butterfly, Crystal Fairy and Mycroman. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Did this today with 3 other cachers. Beautiful weather. Thanks for taking us here!
My second attempt at this one, it was missing last time, a quick find this time TFTC tmann421
TFTC, we didnt write down the parking coordinates so ended up going for a longer walk, but it was a nice day
Staying just down the road in our motorhome so decided to ride our MTB's to this one. The area has certainly opened up and grown since we were here last. Enjoyed the ride and the find. TFTC.
Slightly more challenging as a new path has been been built which does not go by the cache, good fun though, TFTC
Nice place for a walk. Will have to come back on a better day to walk on the beach
Walked along from Te Hapua access. Whitebaiters at river mouth today. Waded stream and landed right on this cache. Got friends with a new house close by. TFTC
Another unvisited walkway we didn't know existed. Gps spot on and little blue hen had the cache in hand within seconds. Lots more dead prions that perished during recent storms. TFTCSL good view of the island from the top of the track.
Lots of new properties being developed here. Quick find on a lovely day. T4TCSL
A quick find on a diversion while travelling north today. I don't think it's going to be very long before there's rather a lot of houses around here... Signed log, TFTC.
Another of 60 finds for the day (a typical tally for a cache raid in new territory these days).
I think this was the first cache when the weather made its presence known. Quite cold spits started dropping here. Couldn't find the second cache in the 2-for-1 deal though Cheers Gav [9335]
After much bad weather it was a good day today to find a cache. Thanks tmann for sorting this one out. On signing the log I saw it was marked with FTF - Hope this is right as it will be the first I have found.
When I left the replacement cache I forgot to change the log in the container to say REPLACEMENT so it still shows spaces for FTF 2TF & 3TF. Sorry but this is not a new cache and first finds have already been allocated.
After the last log and from an email from another geocacher I went and checked on this cache. Certainly not found where it should have been so I replaced with another container. Possibly 2 containers here now, but at least one is in correct location.
Found on second attempt. Not sure if the cache was in the right place as it was out by a couple of metres and didn't fit with the clue, but replaced exactly where I found it.
Cache was between hint items so rehid next to hint item. Gps put us a few metres away but found eventually. TFTC.
we searched for half an hour and did not feel very comfortable, walking here ruins the bushes, we did not find the cache
Was having a bit of trouble finding this one, with yeetrees looking on laughing. Just I was getting close to giving up, we were muggled by 2kwrx and co - nice to meet you. A joint search followed, then I found the cache where I had already looked. It seems to have crept a little so the hint doesn't quite work any more. After bit of a chat, we went our separate ways.

A bit of a hunt. However, the cache was where the gps and clue indicated. Beautiful hot day. Later went for a swim in the surf. Thanks.
Searched for a significant amount of time, double-checked co-ords, everything. The clue didn't make much sense to me, but who knows...
Found just as the sun was going down over Kapiti. Beautiful day. Our second attempt on this one after failure yesterday- Well hidden cache but in the obvious place. Our 4th ever find. Thanks.
A straightforward find with nzcoozer, close to where we expected to find it, although we missed it on our initial look. TFTC

An interesting looking subdivision, but a long way from the shops. Took a little while to locate but right where I initially thought it was going to be.

Tasman Lakes seems like a nice area to live, very scenic. The sky was starting to look a bit gloomy as we headed up the track to the beach but fortunately the rain held off. Nice hide. TFTC.
5.15pm. Beautiful sunset while walking to this cache. Worth it just to see that. Cache did not however present any difficulties once I had determined that I needn't have crossed the stream!! Added a TB.

Decided it was time to do this cache, was in the area for work and had a few spare minutes to grab this one, didn't even worry about using the clue as it was NOT required. It is very interesting how all these satellite subdivisions are appearing everywhere, reminds me of sim city. Nice spot for a cache on a nice day in the Manawatu. TFTC TNLNSL (1974)
#1392. Interesting location. Looks like the area will be invaded by suburbia soon ...

2TF...motocross guys nearby....nice day for a visit and King enjoyed the quick explore. Nice new subdivision.
Snap! tmann421 was FTF at my new cache (Chrystalls Lagoon) a week ago, I've returned the compliment with FTF at Tasman Lakes. A very (very!) wet night for a walk, but worth the effort. I looked at this area for a cache some months ago but hadn't found a suitable site -well done tmann421! Signed log, lifted geocoin. TFTC!
