Found it a bit incongruous to see a cannon on church property - at least it was gaily painted. I spotted the hiding spot on arrival, but ignored it and started looking all over the other end - had to go back and kick myself for not checking the first spot [B)]
Thanks corikra.

The last thing I expect to see outside a church is what I had to search to find this cache
The potted history in the cache notes goes a long way to explaining why this object is here
Looks Russian !! [:o]
Thanks for an unorthodox caching loction

Yeah! First for the day and a find at last after being stymied for various reasons at the other 3 we tried earlier. A quick find too. Thanks.
We thought it may have been hiding somewhere on the cannon but after 15minutes of searching...two greens and that's it.
Townsville to Ingham, stopping to pick up a few caches on the way.

found months ago with MagickalMumma13 on a day trip to forrest beach. after failing to find out of steam we decided to find this one. as we approached the church i knew it could only be in one place and fair enough my hunch was rite. tftc
Lovely spot. Brought back memories of our wedding day photos here 19 years ago. Found with Thierry visiting from France
After driving past this church throughout my childhood, it was great to pop back past for a cache. Nice n easy tftc
Awesome cache. Came down for a ride on the old coal train and came across this beauty. Tftc!!
This turned out to be another cache that we usually have a lot of trouble finding but we were lucky to make a quick, and unexpected discovery
Very glad this was a relatively small piece of equipment to search

It took about 3 or 4 minutes but I eventually found it. TFTH it was a very pretty spot.
TFTC Corikra... pretty little historical church. Easy find and lots of cane trains going by.

12:35:00 PM. Out and about doing some sightseeing. The better half made the find here and the log was signed. Thanks corikra for placing this cache.
Couldn't do this one today as there was a wedding in process. Way too many muggles and as I had spent the day at the beach, I was way under dressed to blend in.
Sunday trip North to log a few caches.
Took some time to find this, but knowing that a new container was in place helped. Almost too hot to kneel of the concrete pad.
Thanks for the cache

Loved looking around the cannon and picturing one of these things going off. Beautiful little church.

This was a second attempt at this one for me. The last time I was here the church was very busy with some sort of function. RobS72 and I were on our way past and a quiet Sunday evening turned out to be perfect for our search. A quick find in a nice spot. TFTC.
MattCNS and myself stopped by this quaint rural church to search for the cache located within the grounds. After a brief search, it was Matt who found the prize.
Cache and contents in good condition. TFTC Corikra. SL {#413}.

Last time we were in the vicinity we had to just keep on driving as there was a congregation of muggles in loc. No such problems today as we called in on the way back from Forest Beach after having a BBQ lunch with GeoP's dad.
A short search soon had the cache in the hands of geoP.

This one had me stumped today. How come Jaws fnq could find it but I could not? I looked almost everywhere.
Yet another good cache hide with lots of hidding places as usual!! Our relation, who was 88 toda,y was duly impressed with the cache and its hiding spot. Nice to see the lovely little church.
TFTC corikra and we did appreciate all your well placed caches in the Ingham area

Heading south to Townsville before heading west to continue our 2nd lap of Aust.

Nice church, loved the area. Well hidden cache.
Thanks for the hunt today, corikra.

North Qld 2013. Day 12 Townsville to Tully. With cane trams moving around the mill and these feeder lines I came over here for a good look round. The hide location was unexpected in a church yard ! Thanks.

Never down this road before, so it was good to see some of the sites - and of course the church and the cache! tftc, Corikra
First one for our family! The 6 year old found it while his dad got his arm stuck somewhere he shouldn't have put it...
A nice quick one on our trip North from Townsville to Cairns.
Guessed exactly where it would be when I walked up and checked every other spot first before trying my inital idea and finding a nicely hidden cache.
Very muggy today and in the 'heat' of the moment the iPhone was left at GZ and had to be retrieved before leaving.
Back on the road and only 3.5hrs driving to go................
Cheers and happy caching.
